NBA Live 07 includes a few new modes and features that will surely satisfy fans of the franchise. The novelty of seeing NBA Live on the portable has faded, but the gameplay is still good enough to make the game worthwhile.
-
We may be decidedly old-school, but there's no denying that it kicks ass getting our game on with the likes of Wilt the Stilt, Oscar Robertson, and dozens of other hoop heroes.
-
NBA Live 07's gameplay itself is right up there with its console siblings -- and even better in some respects (one shoot button). I'm still going with the NBA 2K series on consoles, but I think I've found my new favorite portable hoops title.
-
Unfortunately, NBA Live 07 doesn’t play like a pro on the PSP and much of it has to do with the misuse of the Superstar abilities and the slow-as-molasses framerate.
-
While the PSP version of NBA Live 07 is much better than that of the PS2 and Xbox, it's not better by too much. The game still has a lot of A.I. and gameplay flaws, and the domineering power of the Superstar control from last year really exerts its influence in this year's game.
-
The game has positives, they're just away from the 5-on-5 parquet.
-
Official Playstation 2 Magazine UKA criminally bad sports game with atrocious AI and some shoddy, depressing visuals. Stick to the infinitely more enjoyable "NBA Ballers: Rebound." [Christmas 2006, p.82]
