The title may be a little too story heavy for some (the gameplay/story ratio is about 30/70), but otherwise the game is just what the PSP needed and hopefully a sign of what’s to come in terms of the system’s rpg future. For anyone looking for a great portable rpg, Monster Kingdom is where it’s at. [JPN Import]
-
A must buy for PSP owners hungry for an original RPG. Original design, no load times, Okada, and Atlus should be enough to make any RPG nut giddy with joy.
-
The game succeeds in terms of both story and combat quality, and even adds in some cool online functionality with battles and jewel trading. RPG enthusiasts will want to capture this game as soon as they can.
-
It would be easy to call Jewel Summoner a good PSP RPG simply because there have been so many blah ones over the past couple years, but it really does stand as a solid beginning for what is planned to be a fairly ambitious take on a new Okada universe.
