NickB.Dec 31, 2006Average game, with a top-down perspective; one might equate it to a glorified Contra. I went in to this game with high expectations based on all the flowery reviews and was disappointed with the aiming issues and difficulty in control; could just be me, but I found the game a let down, would have preferred a FPS format for this series. Great cut scenes though.

Play MagazineAny game can be an emotional experience if it has a little soul. And to put it bluntly, Killzone: Liberation is just soulless. [Oct. 2006, p.66]
-
The single-player missions are rather linear but the gameplay mechanics create an environment where players won’t be fumbling with controls, but will be able to experience the game for what it presents.
-
While Killzone: Liberation isn’t mindblowing and has some flaws, it's a good action game for a game system on the go.
