    The novelty will wear off quickly. This is more of a platformer than a virtual pet game.

    Even though the EyePet offers a lovable virtual pet, it just doesn't cut it in the real world.

    EyePet on PSP is cute, sure, but there isn't much you can do with it aside from simple, boring mini-games and unimaginative augmented reality gimmicks.

    Sure, the augmented reality brings something unusual to the game. Feeding your pet, play with it, check its health, etc. does have something magical to it, especially with the familiar backgrounds of your own home. But beyond this initial amazement, the not-so deep activities, the technical limitations of the PSP's camera, and the annoying loading times will tarnish the fun you can get in the long run. That's why the PS3 version remains so much better.

    The PSP-version of EyePet could have been a good game. Instead, it is a crippled one, with a small collection of uninteresting mini-games.
