  1. Dante's Inferno on PSP is the same game than on 360 and PS3. It lacks the visuals, but it mimics the controls, the gameplay, and offers the same storyline. Gritty and really fun, Dante's adventure is good on PSP, but it has the same flaws as the HD versions.
  2. I felt much more comfortable playing Dante’s Inferno on the PSP than I did it’s HD brethren. The distasteful enemies and depraved ambiance is much less notable here. Because of the technical limitations, it somehow tempers the experience. It may not be the most interesting game in terms of storyline but it fills a hole in the PSP game line-up. Just don’t buy it for your kids.

We can't recommend Dante's Inferno over the cheaper, higher-quality God of War: Chains of Olympus. However, if you seek an alternative to Kratos' adventure or want an action game that doesn't hold back on either its content (lots of nudity and gore) or action, it wouldn't hurt to make a pit stop in hell.

We'd definitely pick the PS3 version over this, but when it comes to kicking the afterlife ass on the go, Dante's Inferno is a reasonably solid option. [Jun 2010, p.79]

You can absolve or punish your foes and upgrading you holy or unholy powers is a nice touch. The graphics are good without being spectacular and the gameplay is fun! The only slight negative for me are the controls are a little bit loose which prevents me from giving a higher rating. Overall good game for the PSP and I would recommend anyone who enjoys hack and slash with some substance to give it a go! Full Review »

Dante's Inferno is a good Hack'n Slash. I played the PSP version, which has less content than the others versions, even if is inferior than the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, is one of the best PSP Games i played.
This game have a original artstyle, good habilities and combos, good enemies and bosses, good soundtrack and a good book adaptation from Dante's Inferno by Dante Aligheri.
I played 5 hours in the game and i think is a underrated gem and very different than the "God of War Clone" argument. It's a shame that the Dante's Inferno's Sequel will never happen.
I hope EA listen to the fans and remake Dante's Inferno as the same that recently did with Dead Space.
Don't miss this opportunity and play Dante's Inferno. An underrated gem that Visceral Games did a good job.
