  1. For short spurts Buzz! Master Quiz on the PSP can be entertaining and fun.
  2. As fun as it is in short bursts, it's nowhere near as complete and enjoyable as one of the home console games when played with friends.

It might not be worth playing if you have a console copy of BUZZ! in your home, but for long road trips or prolonged ventures outside the house, it’s definitely worth looking into.

Much like its PS2 and PS3 siblings Buzz Master Quiz isn't going to appeal if you don't like quiz games and played on your own it becomes dull quickly. But, the enjoyable multiplayer modes make it the ideal travel game and while it's not the ultimate handheld quiz it does the job well enough while we wait for something better.

The trivia well could have run deeper but you won't find another portable party quite like Master Quiz.
  6. Buzz! Master Quiz is a modest, safe approximation of the console games.

Despite the low(ish) price, this is far from a no-brainer. [Oct 2008, p.79]

As far as quiz games on the go are concerned, Buzz! Master Quiz is a solid effort for the PSP.

A logical addiction to the PSP library, Master Quiz is, although, less multiplayer-friendly than the other titles of the series. Even so, it can improve if you have friends with the game, because the console sharing option doesn’t work so well. Unfortunately, the single player is also very limited. [Sept 2008]

Ultimately, our main issue with Buzz! Master Quiz is that it's an almost completely redundant package. Solo mode isn't substantial enough to maintain your interest for long and multiplayer options are so peculiarly arranged that the real meat of the series is pretty much lost.
  11. Limited multiplayer options and a decidedly shallow single-player side weigh down trivia king Buzz's portable debut.
  12. It feels almost wrong to give such a polished game a downbeat review but there's no avoiding the fact that Buzz! Master Quiz is a case of concept and hardware being lamentably mismatched.

Recommended for the popular and TV-less. [Oct 2008, p.103]

An exceptionally well-produced game. The presentation is immaculate, and it looks and feels like Buzz! on the surface. The only problem is that this isn't a Buzz! game; without the buzzers, it feels tedious in multiplayer, which is the death for a multiplayer-based game.
  15. Buzz Master Quiz is not much of a quiz show and is far to easy for quiz masters. Even those looking for a casual trivia game will only get a few hours of fun out of it. You're best off simply taking a pass on this one.
  16. It might go some way to negating the slightly impersonal feeling of Master Quiz, too. The format is always fun and yet, as polished as the presentation is, this PSP version is a little bit Every Second Counts to the PS3's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
  17. This latest entry in the Buzz-series brings us fun quiz-based entertainment, wrapped in a simple and intuitive interface. A nice feature is the ability to enjoy a game of multiplayer even if you only have one PSP to pass around. The one major flaw here is the content, or lack of it to be specific. You'll easily blast through all of the questions in one evening, drastically reducing the lasting appeal of this title.

It is fun to play in the beginning but after a while you get tired of it. Though it kept me a few good hours hooked.
