The total package. It's fun, it's involved, and it's portable. Some of you will no doubt have worries that the A.I. may be too challenging or that the career mode may be too time consuming. With regards to those concerns, my only advice is that you cowboy up.

Another solid PSP game. A little harder than I like to do tricks and steer your ATV, but that's something you can get past with some practice.
-
What it doesn’t have is perfect controls. They’re slippery, and oftentimes make it extremely difficult to win without over or under-steering. You really have to master how the game is going to react to each situation and adjust your skills to match.
-
The initially daunting learning curve makes the first few tries frustrating even for experts weaned on the other games in the series, but the game is eventually manageable and the multiplayer saves it altogether from becoming a “play it once- trade it in” title.
-
Packs enough features to rocket it over a dozen lined-up trailer trucks, but the clunky graphics engine and stiff control give it a ramp that's might make you think twice about trying to air over a VW Bug.
-
Although Blazin’ Trails does manage to present an engaging amount of gameplay thanks to the large number of game options, diversionary mini-games and impressive online features, it’s also significantly hampered by a kludgy control system, unforgiving trick system and psychotic AI.

PSM MagazineThere's tons of game modes, customizations, addictive mini-games, and dirt - lots of dirt. [July 2005, p.86]
