This game is fun, addictive and fast-paced. It may not be entirely original, but it does hold its own in the world of PS driving sims.
-
If you do a good job, you might even get a free donut or two.
-
An entertaining, mission-based driver with hilarious commentary and fairly engrossing gameplay. This is definitely a sleeper hit for the aging PlayStation.
-
It's unoriginal-original and very frustrating playing tedious mission after mission with little reward.
-
I had high hopes for this game, and it's been pretty much exactly what I was expecting.
-
The thing that makes this game so bad is that it could have been so good. Improve the graphics, touch-up the controls and fix the multiplayer mode and you'd have a decent game.
-
Despite my instinct to reel from anything that has a TV or movie-license attached to it, World's Scariest Police Chases is not a bad game.
-
Within the respective missions, computer cars often take the same route every time you chase them. Secondly, once you've completed the 20 missions, there's little else offered.
-
WSPCs physics make for distractingly wobbly, touchy handling, where oversteering due to jouncing shocks after the smallest of bumps is the norm.
-
If you like that fast chasing styled racing type game, pick it up too. I like it!
-
Electronic Gaming MonthlyThis game isnt anything more than a drab "Destruction Derby" with added sirens and donuts. [Aug 2001, p.112]
-
Nothing but a knock-off of every other mission-based car game out there, and a dull and frustrating one at that.
-
The graphics are really chunky and the sound effects are, at best, unobtrusive. Still, you don't necessarily play a game like this for the graphics. You play it for the hyper-cheezy commentary from Retired Sheriff John Bunnell and the modest thrill of keeping the peace.
-
The gameplay borrows heavily from Driver so heavily that it winds up destroying the cop-like feel it tries to pull off.
-
An ugly, boring game.
-
may not be the World's Worst Game, but it's still a waste of time on Thursday night. Man, why couldn't they have made "When Animals Attack" instead?
