This game though has good ideas to keep it entertaining throughout the end, it is literally never the same and is so much fun to play. Players never have the feeling of doing repetitive things or getting bored early in the game. It still has some issues though, for example the mechanics are so bad even for a game which was released at the early 2000. The controls are very wonky such as the jump mechanics or the Flipendo spell and many many other things. If players get used to the unsteady controls and stupid mechanics then this game can surely be enjoyable to play. Expand

I think harry rocks, you could say I'm obsessed. I read the books, I've seen the movie, and played the game, and collect trading cards. I woud give it a 100, but I can only give it a 10.

This is great game! It has got many, many places to explore, lots of good and evil characters and loads of fun mini-games. One of my favorite areas was Diagon Alley. Los fans de Harry Potter seguro disfrutarán este juego mucho más que cualquier otra persona, sin embargo, la aventura es muy buena y creo que es para todos.

Pretty enjoyable game for what it is and when it was made. Although, I do have to say, the bank part in the cart can burn lol Not responsive enough to make the maneuvers. I'd remember having this game as a lad but never finishing it because of that part, so I booted my emulator up, maxed out all graphical and audio improvements and had a good time with it. How nostalgic to play again the old Harry Potter games. The saga deserves a remake for current consoles. This game is very fun and very short to finish. The difficulty is simple for the most part and the soundtrack is very good. The level design of the ps1 version is not very good compared to the pc version, but it is worth playing both, as they are very different games

Yes graphics aged poorly, and characters became memes, but this game has it's charm. I played for the first time 20 years after it came as an adult, and it felt amazing. Levels are unique and unrepetitive, atmosphere is magical and overall it brings comfort of childhood with smooth music and sunlit corridors of Hogwarts.

I recently revisited Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on PlayStation One, a game that I had played and loved as a child. Even after all these years, the game still holds up as a classic that captures the essence of the magical world of Hogwarts.

The game's attention to detail is exceptional, with beautifully crafted environments that evoke the charm and mystery of the books and movies. The voice acting is top-notch, bringing beloved characters to life with their signature wit, humor, and warmth.

The gameplay itself is a delight, offering a range of activities that range from attending classes to exploring the vast halls of Hogwarts. The controls are intuitive, and the game strikes a good balance between challenge and accessibility.

One of the game's standout features is its ability to transport players to the world of Harry Potter. As a child, I was thrilled to be able to step into the shoes of Harry and his friends, casting spells and fighting against dark forces. Revisiting the game as an adult, I found that the sense of wonder and excitement was still present.

In conclusion, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on PlayStation One is a timeless classic that still captivates today. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series or a newcomer to the world of Hogwarts, this game is sure to enchant and delight. 10/10!

  1. It’s not perfect, but Harry Potter is a sterling, fun play wrapped up in the magic of Hogwarts and it’s enchantments, making it a must have for muggles and wizarding folk alike!

Potter fans will probably enjoy this more than others, but judging by the slim pickings of good games on the PS one these days, anyone who enjoys a little adventure probably could have some fun with this one.
  3. A good one despite its dated appearance and wonky handling of the character's movement...captures the magical nature of its license quite well.
