What's much easier to rationalize, however, is this: Toukiden: Kiwami is unquestionably the best monster-hunting game the Vita has to offer.

Toukiden: Kiwami offers demon slaying on the go, and it's a fine example of what the PlayStation Vita can do, people who have previously experienced the series will lap this up in an instant, while people wanting to give the series a go for the first time should jump straight to Kiwami as the original content, which is included in this package, makes for a perfect warm up to the intense challenges that this game offers.

This new edition of Toukiden is a great option for those who are looking for a good monster slayer title with a superb presentation; it has a lot of variety in its monsters and gameplay possibilities. Toukiden Kiwami offers all the content of the original game with new chapters, battles, loot and hours of gameplay, a great offer for all the players who missed the original launch last year.

A visually amazing Vita game that's a little too repetitive to become an instant classic.

The Vita library is still lacking in major-major titles, but this one can take a few hours of your time.

This game is almost exactly like monster hunter 4, you picka weapon and you hunt demons. the combat system, the exploration of the map, and the over-world is alot like monsterhunter. This is not a bad thing though, the game differs with a strong story, a fun computer co-op system, and controls are easy to understand. The game itself is decent, but if you were looking for an english version, the dialogue is all spoken in Japanese. The graphics look like any 3d anime style game, and none of the characters stood out to me. I would recommend this game if you really like the monster hunter style of game play, but if you dont id wait for this game to go on sale, you arent missing much. Full Review »

I personally like the combat in this game I really like the way most of the weapons work and the story is interesting but those are the highest points for me. Personally I like the idea behind the demons and their gimmicks but I don't feel like they were executed as well as they could have been. Same with the weapon and armor/ item designs. They don't feel special they don't really look unique even if you've grinded a demon to make a set the weapons and such don't even have the monster motif aside from the element is has and possible resistances. If there are continuations of the series I want to see what they can improve. The combat is really fun but even if your overpowered in comparison to a monster you don't really feel like it, even if you demolish it in roughly 3 minutes flat. Full Review »
