Personally I'm not a huge fan of hunting games. I personally like the combat in this game I really like the way most of the weapons work and the story is interesting but those are the highest points for me. Personally I like the idea behind the demons and their gimmicks but I don't feel like they were executed as well as they could have been. Same with the weapon and armor/ item designs.Personally I'm not a huge fan of hunting games. They don't feel special they don't really look unique even if you've grinded a demon to make a set the weapons and such don't even have the monster motif aside from the element is has and possible resistances. If there are continuations of the series I want to see what they can improve. The combat is really fun but even if your overpowered in comparison to a monster you don't really feel like it, even if you demolish it in roughly 3 minutes flat. Expand

I have to admit. I like this game. It's like monster hunter combined with onigiri. If you don't know what that is, onigiri is an mmo set in a Japanese fantasy. I liked the game. The graphics were good and the fights were challenging. The controls are easy as well

Sonys answer to Monster hunter 4. This game is almost exactly like monster hunter 4, you picka weapon and you hunt demons. the combat system, the exploration of the map, and the over-world is alot like monsterhunter. This is not a bad thing though, the game differs with a strong story, a fun computer co-op system, and controls are easy to understand. The game itself is decent, but if you were looking for an english version, the dialogue is all spoken in Japanese. The graphics look like any 3d anime style game, and none of the characters stood out to me. I would recommend this game if you really like the monster hunter style of game play, but if you dont id wait for this game to go on sale, you arent missing much. Expand

This is an awesome Monster Hunter style game with lots of content and a satisfying story about sacrifice, heroism and differences in world-views. Each character has his own story arc and carries his/her burden. Often they were not strong enough in the past or made mistakes that can not be corrected. Each character has his own story arc and carries his/her burden. Often they were not strong enough in the past or made mistakes that can not be corrected. Parts of the main story are about what sacrifices where made to save as many as possible but the other side will say abandon people which all could all be saved. The interesting part is that we will never know which side is correct. For the content: You got the main game and the add on Kiwami which added lots of improvements and content to the game (New weapons, Mitamas, characters, side quest and a new story arc). All weapons play different and you have to adapt your play style. I used mostly the twin blades (very fast attack speed), Katana (Slower but stronger) and gloves (Slow but powerful). Additionally you can equip Mitamas (Spirits of fallen Heroes, Monks, Spiritualist or Mythological beings). These are also divided in multiple roles which adapt to different play styles. The Art style of the game is great. The Oni look amazing especially the bigger ones (I would buy an artbook). The graphic is really good for Vita standards. The music is fitting. For the game play: You get a lot of content. Playtime is easily > 50 hours. Some say the game is a bit to easy which I mostly agree but you get an awesome gaming experience with lot of style and fun. Remark: For me this was along with Persona 4 The Golden the reason I bought a Vita and it was good enough that I bought it for PS4 again to play it on the big screen (and the Vita as system has died). 10/10. Its literally monster hunter but with less grinding. It's differences are not substantial enough to assert imo. Is it better than MH? That Idk. Only 8 hours in. We'll see if it loses it's savor 20 hours in or not. So far it's a delight. I looked hard for a good MH clone after playing MHW. This is the perfect thing I was looking for. Personally I'm fine with a 25 hour game. I might not even finish it. Still satisfied. Expand

The ultimate edition of Toukiden The Age of Demons, that game looks like a demo if it's compared with this one, brings a lot of missions, extends the story, new characters and new weapons.

This new edition of Toukiden is a great option for those who are looking for a good monster slayer title with a superb presentation; it has a lot of variety in its monsters and gameplay possibilities. Toukiden Kiwami offers all the content of the original game with new chapters, battles, loot and hours of gameplay, a great offer for all the players who missed the original launch last year.

What's much easier to rationalize, however, is this: Toukiden: Kiwami is unquestionably the best monster-hunting game the Vita has to offer.

The Vita library is still lacking in major-major titles, but this one can take a few hours of your time.
