This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is personally one of the best visual/kinetic novels I've read/played. I adored the gothic aesthetic and the unique art style - not the typical anime art that dominates the entire market (although in Reincarnation that is the case which disappointed me in a way, but I guess it does suit the modern day setting more).
The characters are explored through in a lot of depth in each of the chapters, granted it does drag on for quite a while but I got hooked onto the story and got attached to the characters, wanting to discover more underneath the surface, so it didn't bother me much. I found the music to really set the mood and the atmosphere of the story, having some really nice horror tracks that creeped me out a bit. The vocal lyric songs are also good even though I couldn't understand it (I think it's in Italian).
The themes of tragedy, love, revenge, and identity are explored through very well albeit through slow build up.
Requiem For Innocence was good for getting to know Morgana and the three men's backstories in further detail, although I did cringe when Jacopo, a man in his twenties, started confessing his romantic feelings (through internal monologue) towards a CHILD - which is probably one of my only gripes with the game but it's only fiction, so whatever.
