    It’s slightly off-putting that it definitely takes too long to get to the higher levels, and consequently that it strays close to undermining that desire to instantly have “just one more go.” The overall quality of the matching experience was ultimately strong enough to pull me back, largely helped by the smart secondary Puzzle Mode.

    If you're after value, Surge Deluxe delivers: it's pretty, it's cheap and it's a good quick game to play. Just don't expect anything game-changing. [Issue#145, p.115]

    Reviews seem to be mixed for this game but personally I'd have to add it to the long list of pretty forgettable PS+ titles. Maybe it'll offer a way to pass a few minutes whilst sat on the bus but I want a bit more than that on a portable I played £200 for.    … Full Review »

    Surge Deluxe is quite good for what it is, little fast-paced puzzler to keep you entertained for couple of minutes with your Vita when you'reSurge Deluxe is quite good for what it is, little fast-paced puzzler to keep you entertained for couple of minutes with your Vita when you're just traveling or something, but it's basically the same thing all over again, you get most of your trophies pretty quickly, except for one, where you're forced to grind for hours and hours if you want to 100% this title, which is ridiculous. However, true longevity of this game would be just a few hours I would say, because it gts repetitive quite quickly. To be honest, these kind of games should be free, I got it from PS Plus free, so it's all good, but I can't imagine paying for this kind of stuff. 5/10… Full Review »

The constant threat of the time limit and pressure build up will keep you on your toes, and it's addictive enough to become yet another game that will have you saying "just one more go." The main mode of the game will keep you coming back in order to beat your best score or unlock more trophies, but I found the game's puzzle mode to be a bit lackluster. I just didn't feel the same addictive quality in it, which disappointed me a bit. Still, the overall package can be an absolute blast. So if you're looking for a fast-paced and addictive puzzler to take with you on the go, then this is worth your time.… Full Review »
