They're fun, they play well, and they still feel like they're worth playing a decade after the fact. Throw in the whole on-the-go aspect you get with the Vita, and it makes it easy to recommend picking this up.

The “classic” trilogy is consisted of three of the most important action/ platforming games of all time. Look away only if you already own the PS3 version.

Quite frankly, each game in the Ratchet & Clank trilogy is as charming and playable now as it was when first released.

The Ratchet & Clank games still hold up today. The platform series is a great Vita experience, with beautiful graphics and the characteristic gameplay we've come to know and love. It's a shame the cut-scenes look a little outdated and we don't understand why the developer chose to leave out the multiplayer mode from Ratchet & Clank 3, but otherwise we're very pleased with this handheld collection.

The remarkable gameplay of Ratchet and Clank's first three adventures holds up in this great HD package, but don't expect a pitch-perfect port.

Despite a little wear and tear, the original Ratchet and Clank Trilogy more than gives you bang for your buck.

A polished collection that every Sony fan should have in their... collection. [September 2014, p81]

This is such a lovely title for the PS Vita. The old Ratchet and Clank games are still the best and after more than 10 years still worth it. Ratchet & Clank is just an awesome duo.

It looks good, the humour remains persistent, and overall the collection is enjoyable. I’d recommend the trilogy if you want to get into the series, if you love the series or if you’re a fan of platforming titles.

Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy is worth your time on Vita, regardless of whether you have nostalgia for the PS2 versions.

Ratchet & Clank Trilogy brings back in HD three of the best adventure games that have ever been released in PlayStation 2.

Just correct as an adaptation, even though the quality of the games is as good as the originals were.

PlayStation Vita is a perfect console to remember the great adventures of Ratchet and Clank. Insomniac created some wonderful characters in very different planets.

Three great PS2 platform/shooters now available in cross-buy on PS Vita and PS3, although the portable conversion is far from being perfect.

Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is a largely successful port of the much-loved action platformer. Looking on them in 2014, though, the flaws are more apparent, and the a couple of design decisions don't translate to the Vita all that well.

Although this trilogy has been slightly downsized to venture into the portable universe, it's still worth playing on the Vita.

Has its issues, but if you’re new to Ratchet & Clank it’s still a great place to start.

If you are really interested in revisiting the original trilogy, the more likely it is that you show the proper respect and buy the PlayStation 3 version instead.

The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is a real hoot, but the outrageous input lag in the first title isn’t a particularly funny joke.

It could have been a good way to play this wonderful franchise again but so many technical flaws and graphic problems keep this game from being very playable.

Not the best collection around, but the games are still entertaining as of today. A nice opportunity to discover (or rediscover) the series, but nothing more.

A terrible edition: a lot of aliasing, input lag and a faulty control scheme.

On Vita, its blurry and pixilated from not being native res and it lags and slows down from 30fps to create stutter, slowdown and lag.

There are numerous also glitches including in the audio like music cutting out or gun sounds playing on repeat till you hit square.

The games are amazing but just like the horribly bad Jak trilogy on vita, also made by this same developer, they ruin my memories of this franchise.(whats left of it after the more resent ratchet games that is)

When is Sony going to stop giving its Classic flagship titles the middle finger on the Vita? Jak was horrible with its slowdowns and control issues, God of war was 18fps and now ratchet is sub par... The only good trilogy on Vita is Sly.

There is no cross save with PS3 even though the trophies are shared between the Vita and PS3. The PS3 version on PSN is cheaper, and comes with the Vita version for free.

The Vita is full of bad ports. After the team that did this brought us the infamously bad Jak collection I was not expecting much. While this collection is definitely better than the Jak one, it's no where near as good as the Sly collection (Which, apart from Sly 1, was actually native resolution and runs quite well, even if the cut scenes are very compressed.)

This collection has reasonably uncompressed cut scenes in comparison. On the other hand, the graphics are about on par with the PS2 version, with some graphicle glitches and some missing effects. The game is not native resolution and so looks quite blurry and pixelated. If I wanted to play the game in a lower resolution I would whip out my PS2. The on the go argument can only get you so far, especially if it leads to compromises to classic titles.

As well as all that, it only runs at 30FPS with drops and slowdown, creating a slow motion like effect, similar to what happens if you play the HD collection in 3D on the PS3. It also crashed a few times in my play through. Do not believe some of the naive Vita owners (Most aren't, but some...) when they say it runs fine. Most of them believe Assassins Creed runs fine on the Vita, even though it runs at 18FPS, and also is blurry, pixelated and glitchy. It was only until the HD release of Assassins Creed that people called it out for being bad.

In all, it's not the worst collection or port on the Vita, but as with all others (Except, debatably, the aforementioned Sly collection) the Vita is not the best place to experience them, especially because it is cheaper to buy the PS3 version on PSN, and the you get the Vita one free as well, which makes it worth while (Except of course there is no cross save even though the trophies are shared between the Vita and PS3!)

It's a 5 for me because it is not the worst, but I wish Sony would stop shoving inferior ports onto the Vita. This, Jak, GoW and Borderlands 2 puts Sony and the Vita to shame, especially the classic exclusives. You would think Sony would give a damn.

The games go from strength to strength and none of the Jak and Daxter issues to be seen. Solid 31fps, not sure where others are getting framerate bug issues, 10 hours for me and haven't noticed any yet... but they must exist so beware I guess. Make sure u get the psn PS3 version as its cross buy and £14 instead of £20 on the vita... enjoy! Full Review »
