This game is pretty fun. I liked the opening cut scene. This is very megaman - esque, but it is distinctly harder. The levels can be pretty brutal. Keep in mind it's a $7 game. Therefore it's a shorter game. I got all the upgrades and am now stuck on the final boss.

The killer for me is the final boss has this flame attack that I can't seem to avoid, and that is what really killed this

The killer for me is the final boss has this flame attack that I can't seem to avoid, and that is what really killed this game for me. Stage one of the final boss has an unavoidable flame thrower attack. From what I was reading you're supposed to be able to avoid the attack with a flame dash move you acquire. I couldn't get it to work. I would just be whittled down by these unavoidable attacks and then die.

Again I really did like the game. I'm a megaman fan. I like unique take on a megaman style side scroller, but ultimately I'm giving it a 7 because of the final boss. I even feel like a 6 might be warranted. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that I didn't do something correctly. Anyway if you're looking for something to occupy your time for 3 hours on a train ride it might be worth your time.

It’s hardly the worst thing in the world to be a reasonably okay Mega Man clone, but given that the originals are readily available on most platforms, it’s hard to know why you’d want to play Metagal over any of those.
