Aug 24, 2015Lost Dimension is an incredible title, with a constant sense of escalation and drama.
-
Aug 5, 2015A fun detective-esque RPG that punishes and rewards at the same time through its original story and game mechanics. Lacking RPG fundamentals like side quests and super-powered equipment will turn off some genre enthusiasts, but those who give it a chance will be captivated.
-
Sep 5, 2015Gripping character work complements deep combat.
-
Jul 31, 2015It’s actually a fascinating metasystem, which, in coordination with the engaging combat, makes Lost Dimension well-worth playing. The game’s story and other systems are very much in service of this core dynamic of forging relationships and weeding out traitors, which is a bit disappointing, as there is the potential for an interesting narrative and world here. Still, it’s a fun single-player RPG experience, and a fair investment for PS3/Vita owners.
-
Sep 23, 2015An excellent tactical J-RPG let down only by a slightly anti-climactic ending.
-
Sep 22, 2015In a nutshell, Lost Dimension is one of the most addictive gameplay experiences I’ve played on the Vita in a while.
-
Jul 28, 2015The depth of this game makes it a pretty solid addition to the Vita library, even if it does come off a little heavy handed about some life lessons.
-
Jul 27, 2015Lost Dimension has its frustrations and may not be particularly exceptional in any one category, but it's a memorable tactical role-playing game I really enjoyed.
-
Jul 29, 2015Lost Dimension has a lot of great ideas, and while not all of them pan out, it's a mostly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Technical issues withstanding, it's one of the Vita's best RPGs.
-
Jul 29, 2015Even though the mark might not be very high, we've enjoyed this game. It's great for a handheld, and if you like the concept it is based on, it does deserve a try.
-
Jul 28, 2015Yes, it looks pretty nice at points, and yes, its (shamelessly borrowed) combat is executed very well. But the end result is that you're left wanting to consume the media it recalls, rather than feeling compelled to keep playing your way through the game.
-
Games Master UKOct 15, 2015A stuffy story hinders, but its party-whittling sci-fi conceit is too enticing to ignore. [Oct 2015, p.68]
-
Nov 11, 2015Lost Dimension is an interesting game with few issues coming from its low budget nature. The combat system is deep, fun and entertaining, the traitor random system works properly giving a good vibe to the experience, but the weak graphics and a couple of big holes in the main plot are enough to hurt the project. If you're looking for an interesting experience, you can still buy it. Just remember: the PS Vita version is the best one.
-
Sep 11, 2015Lost Dimension is greatly held back by its inability to keep up the pressure of the disappointing betrayal system and its poorly written story. Still, this RPG manages to find its footing with its excellent combat system and interesting character abilities.
-
Aug 25, 2015Lost Dimension is a well thought out tactical RPG, but it’s the traitor system which is the star of the game. It constantly makes you second guess your choices as you progress, but it comes at the cost of a compelling story.
-
Aug 12, 2015Those willing to invest will find that the loveable characters and attractive art style provide more than enough incentive to replay the game multiple times, but the generic story and often frustrating judgement system prove to be traitors at times.
-
Jul 28, 2015This is a JRPG layered atop a tactical strategy game layered atop a murder mystery, and somehow, the resulting structure holds up reasonably well.
-
Jul 28, 2015If not for the endgame spike in difficulty and the traitor mechanic which doesn't feel fleshed out, it would be an automatic recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of game. Don't get me wrong, though—there's still a lot to like, and it still earns a cautious thumbs up as long as prospective players don't mind a bit of endgame grind.
-
Jul 28, 2015Lost Dimension has some interesting ideas but some of its elements, like the level design or the enemies, just don't work that well. Its gameplay could even even become boring after some time.
-
Jul 27, 2015All in all, Lost Dimension is a fun and worthwhile experience. Despite the finale lacking punch, the story and premise are on the whole very interesting and ably supported by an engaging and enjoyable battle system. It's just a bit of a disappointment after the fascinating setup that the game doesn't quite seem to have enough behind it to get that one final push towards greatness.
-
Jul 27, 2015With Lost Dimension, I feel like there is just so much more the game could have been. The concept is there, it just needed a bit more on the execution side to really make for a great story.
-
CD-ActionNov 15, 2015It’s fun when your characters gang up against a single enemy, music is fantastic and the idea for searching for a random mole in your team is an original one. Unfortunately tight budget made both the story and gameplay tediously clichéd. [11/2015, p.67]
-
Aug 26, 2015Lost Dimension is a visual novel disguised as a tactical RPG. It's a pretty unique and original title, unfortunately troubled by very low production values. Keep in mind that the PS Vita version is a little bit better than the PS3 one.
-
Aug 24, 2015Certainly, the game’s writing and combat are mediocre. That said, there’s still nothing exactly like Lost Dimension on the market. If you want a dash of intrigue in your dungeon crawler, you may want to see this one through to The End .
-
Oct 22, 2015On paper this should be a fusion between Danganrompa and Valkyria Chronicles, in reality it's an unbalanced game, full of forgettable conversations and fighting. There's much better both on VITA and PS3 when it comes to strategic rpgs.
-
Jul 28, 2015Lost Dimension is a fun and deep tactics RPG with interesting mechanics and a horrible story with horrible endings.
-
Jul 27, 2015Lost Dimension doesn’t exactly live up to the high hopes that I had for it. The story and characters are lacking and combat begins to drag the further you get through the game.
-
Jul 27, 2015The gameplay was pretty much the only reason why I was able to make it all the way to the true ending. But if you’re looking for a good story, oh boy, you’re not going to find it here. Here’s what you’re guaranteed to get with this game: engaging gameplay and an overall soulless story, filled with equally soulless characters.

-
Dec 8, 2015One clever element in Lost Dimension’s combat is the ability to defer a character’s turn to one of their teammates, giving them a second go.
