Apr 3, 2012A mediocre, but fun game. The main letdowns are the lousy production values in cutscenes and the sometimes clumsy touchscreen controls.
-
Mar 28, 2012LEGO Harry Potter – The Years 5-7 on PS Vita is a great title for anyone who likes to collect and puzzle while on the road.
-
Mar 10, 2012Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 is a fun game that combines the world of the magician with that of Lego bricks. Many puzzles and many spells are the key elements of this title.
-
Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxApr 25, 2012The quests aren't as exciting as you might think. Especially since the world is about to end and all that. So cleaning the house of professor Slughorn for example isn't the kind of task we would bestow upon the chosen one. [May 2012, p.86]
-
Apr 18, 2012Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is fun and varied, but suffers from some minor setbacks on the Vita.
-
Apr 16, 2012Simple, magical and wholly entertaining, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 lets you relive the final years of the Harry Potter fiction in a charming LEGO world. The simple pick-up-and-play approach makes this adventure completely accessible to younger ages, while still offering enough entertainment to keep the oldest of fans playing into the wee hours of the night.
-
Mar 20, 2012LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 is the console version ported to the PS Vita. Nothing more, nothing less. So it's a good game, with lots of different situations and an interesting puzzle-platform mix.
-
Apr 16, 2012It's packed full of collectibles and secrets to keep players entertained and while it's aimed at the younger ones, parents who pick up the Vita after dark can while away an hour with it too.
-
May 13, 2012A lackluster port of a middling game that does little to showcase the exciting new system it's on means only the diehard fans need to bother spending time with the world's most famous wizard.
-
Apr 24, 2012LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 delivers what it aims to: offer fun for everyone, regardless their age. If you can buy the home console of PC version there are not many reasons to recommend this version, as it lacks the multiplayer elements.
-
Mar 20, 2012LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5 – 7 won't surprise you. It won't wow you with amazing graphics, or incredible sound, or a gripping storyline. It will, however, entertain and charm you if you are a fan of the Harry Potter franchise.
-
Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)May 7, 2012This is easily the weakest link in the LEGO chain. [June 2012, p.83]
-
Apr 24, 2012Harry Potter years 5-7 does what Lego games do best, but the fuzzy graphics and lack of co-op makes this Vita port hard to recommend.
-
Apr 13, 2012LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 for the PS Vita is a game that brings up mixed emotions. On one hand we have a satisfactory gameplay, lots of humor and things to unlock that sholud provide at least a dozen hours of fun. On the other hand, the game is technically flawed and lacks a basic co-op mode.
-
Mar 14, 2012The crucial multiplayer is missing, which makes this a luke-warm game.
-
Mar 9, 2012It's practically the same game as the home console versions, but the lack of any kind of multiplayer really bugs me and the touch controls are more annoying than helpful. Collecting secrets and unlocking new stuff is still a lot of fun, but I really, really miss some sort of multiplayer.
-
Apr 9, 2012LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is an adequate title that doesn't really take advantage of the PS Vita. Fans of Harry Potter will love to return to the magical universe, but everyone else will probably get bored.
-
Mar 17, 2012The most famous school of magic in LEGO style, finally on the new Sony portable console. It's really a win-win?
-
Mar 27, 2012Nothing new in terms of game play when dealing with the basics of the LEGO series, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 for the PS Vita is one of the more dull adventures set in a world crafted from the classic building blocks. Combine this with no multiplayer, tacked on touch controls, and the fact that the game has been available on consoles for months already, and this port is barely worth anyone's time.
