Jan 26, 2015It pushes more boundaries and is a sharper satire than the other games in the series, as fine as they are, and that marks this one out as something special indeed.
-
Jan 27, 2015It's clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into this game, and while it certainly won't appeal to everyone, we daresay that Gamindustri veterans will be delighted with the offering.
-
Jan 26, 2015Re;Birth 2 is a great JRPG and fans of the series will be happy to return to Gamindustri on the PlayStation Vita - but the themes and the style of the game won't be for everyone.
-
Jan 23, 2015Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 provides many hours of gaming jokes, silly plot developments and strategic battles which adds up to a mostly lovable JRPG.
-
Jan 23, 2015A great JRPG for PS Vita and a remake that finally makes a tribute to the original game, improving it in every aspect. Maybe it's a bit too integralist, but just for this it’s perfect for all fans of the genre.
-
Feb 23, 2015Even though it is not a revolutionary game for the genre, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re; Birth 2 Sisters Generation is a really good port from an excellent sequel of a PS3 game. If you are a fan of JRPS’s, love anime, visual novels and can tolerate all the “Moe” it has, this is a title you should try at least once.
-
Jan 23, 2015While Rebirth 2 is a massive improvement over the PS3 version in terms of performance, I felt the newly included mechanics and playable characters didn’t quite add enough to warrant double dipping for those like me who have already finished the title once before.
-
Feb 21, 2015Ultimately, Re;Birth2 is not a top-tier JRPG in terms of polish, or even story, but it is a solid effort that looks very pretty on the Vita.
-
Feb 5, 2015It's not a traditional JRPG saga, but this second chapter can't stand up to its predecessor. There's some recycling in dungeons, and a general lack of new features. Still, it's an original take on a classic genre.
-
Jan 25, 2015If you have the original game, you probably won't find relevant additions here. It relies on the plot rather than on the gameplay, but if you think you'll like what this game has to offer, then buying it is probably the right choice.
-
Feb 10, 2015By the end it feels as though Re;Birth2 has taken two steps forward and then two steps back.
-
Feb 1, 2015Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation proves to be a solid port on the Vita, one that may even be technically superior to the PS3 rendition.
-
Jan 28, 2015Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth;2 has a lot of heart, but it lacks finesse in its attempt to get players to see the ‘bigger picture’ in the game.
-
Jan 27, 2015The sad thing with this series and game, is that there is a great concept here that is hidden under layers of lame puns, bad jokes, and annoying characters.
-
Jan 25, 2015Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 has all the building blocks of a solid and fast-paced JRPG, but a few extra caveats players must be mindful of, specifically the sporadic difficulty, the extra grinding and the extra emphasis on Moe.
-
Jan 23, 2015Good looks and an original premise are let down by questionable scenes and a lack of ideas in terms of mechanics.
-
Jan 29, 2015Essentially, then, what you're left with is a grind-heavy game with forgettable characters and even worse writing.
-
Jan 29, 2015While certainly not a terrible release, Sisters Generation doesn’t stray far enough outside the box it lampoons to be considered a good game either. This game is only for dedicated fans of the series, or RPG gamers starving for a new game to fill in the gaps.
-
Jan 23, 2015After a few long hours of the cast’s banal dialogue, I wished to throw my Vita – or myself – down the nearest staircase. Either would have made it all go away.
