    I love these games, I even played PP, which was not good.
    HD MK2 on ps3 was my least favorite.
    But this version with the "victory" battle system, oracles added, and the stella dungeon mini game has changed my opinion on it. I enjoyed this game as much as re birth 1. If you liked RB1 you will like this also. Please don't give any attention to the idiot review on gamestyle, very    I love these games, I even played PP, which was not good.

    Porting from PS3, story have changed only the character as it is .
    Also present the story to a fellow exterminated
    There is also a scene that murdered the little girl , it's a terrible game

    I was very disappointed in this game, Which is sad cause i loved rebirth 1. Its flaws stem from its recycling of rebirth 1's content (i felt like i bought a half assed version of rebirth 1) and the short, bland story.

    Negatives: The ENTIRE soundtrack was a MESS! Nearly EVERY song was some form of a sloppy remix of a BGM or theme song from rebirth 1 (the exception being rom and rams    I was very disappointed in this game, Which is sad cause i loved rebirth 1. Its flaws stem from its recycling of rebirth 1's content (i felt like i bought a half assed version of rebirth 1) and the short, bland story.

    Negatives: The ENTIRE soundtrack was a MESS! Nearly EVERY song was some form of a sloppy remix of a BGM or theme song from rebirth 1 (the exception being rom and rams theme which was made of catchy awesomeness). Almost all the enemy fodder was also recycled. The main cast (the CPU candidates) are all very whiny preteen girls without an ounce of confidence between them (excluding ram, who actually had confidence). The story was RIDICULOUSLY short for the $50 I payed for it (the world was also incredibly small and dungeons, very few). The main bad guys (the 4 felons and the "deity of sin") had no fleshing out to their characters. they existed solely to easily be beat by the main cast. one of them was even a pedo monster... it was.... weird... The stellas dungeon was also a broken mess what with the randomness of the enemys that appear and can kill you no matter what your gear. last but not least, anyone who payed attention to the whole story in rebirth 2 would realize they actually screwed up the back story from rebirth 1.

    Positives: The art is well done (cute where it needs to be and cool where it counts). As mentioned Rom and Rams theme is AWESOME. Compa got slightly smarter (heh). Neptune is still funny (but she appears too late to save the over all lack of confidence.)

    Overall NOT a recommended game (unless your bored and can find it cheap used)    … Expand

    Far from being simplistic and like Mk2 before him, Re2 is the most addictive and surprising in terms of narrative. It's in this one where the allegory of the console war is the cleverest, including the question of piracy presented in a very stunning way : the game illustrates the spread of R4/pirate copies and their consequences, especially in the hands of casual gamers. But Re2 doesn't just condemn that fact and opens the debate about the balance to find between cost, creation and accessibility in a memorable conversation between Uni and Brave. The story can change in several ways and the game has 9 different endings! One of them, the Conquest ending, is frightening, almost unbearable in cruelty, but add a great deal in terms of gravity and is another great symbol. In Re2, that particular can see a new development under very strict conditions, but is supposed to change the tragic course of events. Another good thing of Re2 compared to the vanilla version is that quests and their effects in terms of shares aren't limited and this allows you to see all the endings in one playthrough.

    Re2 is nevertheless a concentration of fun because it brings numerous funny events, including brand new ones, one of which that parodies the Neptunia popularity polls is absolutely hilarious. We still miss a few of (very good) Mk2 events as NISA and Gust are no more. The parody of the gaming world in itself is as good as ever, even in the smallest details like some characters' lines, the avatars whom you come across on the world map, the name of the skills... It's also the kinkiest in the series, because goes beyond most niche games as for fan-service : uncompromising artworks and permissive camera angles make an excellent ecchi offering.

    This newest Neptunia game has probably the richest content ever. It includes 22 characters all in-game, a new line-up of costumes/accessories and numerous post-game challenges adding to the various endings. Re2 also adds a new mini-game called Nariyuki Dungeon. Similar to Victory's scout system, you will send a mini-character called Stella (who is the personification of the developer Felistella) in dungeons so she can loot items. It's no a big addition as it remains fairly anecdotal. I rather lament the fact that costumes can't be unlocked before the end chapter for most part, they were a lot more accessible in Re1. Same problem for the Oracles who are playable in this remake, but the unlock conditions are even harder than for the sisters in Re1. Honestly, I expected that they would join much earlier, and in a way that is more connected to the story. I cleared the game in 30h straight, but I do reckon I would need more than twice that to go through all the possibilities.

    Mk2 had reformed the series by introducing the new battle system. Re2 isn't doing anything like that since it inherits the aforementioned Mk2 system. That's still turn-based with free movements on the field and an FFXIII-like break system. It's back with its traditional qualities and drawbacks, that is to say tactical enough but pretty even in its progression. Like in the first remake, you can change the difficulty settings anytime, which turns out to be quite handy again. Unlike Mk2 in which the challenge went decreasing, Re2 is remarkably progressive in that matter. It is a huge improvement over Mk2 : bosses in Mk2 required more much focus than in the original version. The difficult settings are also a good way to ensure a solid challenge even if you go grinding time to time. Last but not least, you have a team of 4x2 characters : 4 in battle and 4 in reserve that can relay anytime.

    Let's finish by technical aspects, which haven't changed much since Re1 : it's the same engine and thus equally one of the most beautiful portable RPGs there is. Let's stress that graphics have been polished from Mk2 and that returning characters add more flashy and colourful skills. All this is sometimes too much to bear for the game because the framerate tends to drop significantly when there's too much stuff on the screen. Another important note : Re2 abandons the (rather underwhelming) 3D models during the talk parts to come back to our beloved animated 2D models.

    Changes and improvements in this second remake not being as important as in the first one, Hyperdimension Neptunia ReBirth2 is interesting but optional for those who have Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 on PS3, a must-have for those who don't as it excels in many aspects.    … Expand

    Next, this is just CTRL C+CTRL V of both mechanics and story from Mk2. Only, more boring. Then there's the WORST ending in Neptunia. The holy sword ending. Kill it with fire! Even with all that though, it takes nearly the 2nd best story of the OG trilogy, so it will always have an advantage over Re;Birth 1 and 3.    First off. to jaymz1970 You're wrong.     Re;Birth 2 is ultimately better than Re;Birth 1, but it doesn't fix enough of the flaws (ex. not saying where you got a material from within the materials menu, and not detailing enough about items until you already unlock them) to get much praise from me.

    A very funny story, very friendly and funny characters and best of all, has a master combat system . The game is brutally addictive and perfectly solves the problems that had the original game. A perfect choice for lovers of Japanese RPG games .

    A change of pace in the cast and main protagonist from the First game, its basically a reboot as it completely ignores the First game in the series due to the ending of the First Game. This time you play as Nepgear a rather blank character that develops her personality more over time but is far from the enjoyment I got out of playing as Neptune.     The Game play hasn't changed all that much from the first game you still have the annoying hidden treasure search function that is quite bothersome but then again I started with Re;Birth3 and that game had a very interesting Search Function that reminded me of Mario so it might also be because I didn't start with the first two games and so got a better game as my basis.

    Pros:
    - The story is unique and has its moments of laughter
    - The cast is once again fun and brings a lot of new members into its ranks
    - The Stella's Dungeon is quite a unique addition to the game Mechanics

    Cons:
    - Reuse of Dungeons that are slightly altered.
    - The Protagonist is someone I immediately swapped out of my battle formation once I got Neptune

    Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 2 is where the Vita remake series really hits its stride. Re;birth 2 introduces the CPU candidate characters for the first time in the remakes and offers novelty in the combat system for those who completed Re;birth 1 and want to enjoy something new. Don't miss the chance to collect idea chips in Stella's Dungeon while you take your party through the main quest!

    I hate it. They didnt play the first game. They didnt know what the first game had. They just recycled the enemies, the dungeons, the colossuem, the characters, but the most important, the story, they drop it. They created a new story where i dont understand how each character meet other OR didnt meet other, we had a good story we dont need a new one that is so bad.

    Histoire is no more a god is just a secretary, when the other secretaries looks like normal humans. They created so many new humans that are so weak compared with the CPUs, except Cave. Iffy loved Vert, now Iffy dont care Vert but her secretary is replacing her love, why this change. I can think that just like Blanc recieve two sisters but Vert didnt have one. Vert couldnt participate in the main story of the game. So they **** up an existent good character to create Chika.

    First game i love the farm. But here was horrible. I entered the same dungeon 20 times looking a hide item just to take a 20% of recieving the plan Add Dungeon. First game had it but was more too easy to find it. Or farming the bosses 30 times because 1% of dropping. Just no.

    Stella dungeon was strange in the start, then easy, until some dungeons were impossible, but finally i could take the hand. It has some problems.

    More that one villain is cool. But a pedophile is bad idea. The boyfriend of Noire i like it. The villain from the first game is now the final boss again without lore, The villains from Leanbox and Planeptune dont have lore. They appear and just fight. And the mouse girl and her pet, though they were going to be something in at least ONE ending, but no.

    Characters, new ones are useless, except Cave. Cave was so cool to play. And then i played 5PB and is so weak, she is a tier F. The rest of them are recycled with the same stats and skils.

    Finals, why we have a bad ending. We dont want this. It is bad. They make us kill a lot of characters we love and didnt even need to die. And you need to NOT take some events because you take one single mistake and drop your final. At least let me kill 5PB. And too many finals, i didnt spend 50 hours in a single boss but.. too much thing i spend 100 hours total anyways.    … Expand

    Even though it is not a revolutionary game for the genre, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re; Birth 2 Sisters Generation is a really good port from an excellent sequel of a PS3 game. If you are a fan of JRPS’s, love anime, visual novels and can tolerate all the “Moe” it has, this is a title you should try at least once.
