There's that fetish element that seems like a luring detail, shining on the box to raise debate and stir appetites. If you look deep enough, though, you'll find a dungeon crawler worthy of some of your time and attention.

The polemic side of the game is going to capture the headlines, there's a good RPG behind it. The motivation system is indeed original, but is also abused and this eventually prevents it from feeling as a relevant addition.

There was so much potential in Criminal Girls: Invite Only to be a transgressive, unique experience, but sadly, narrative missteps limit it from ever realising that potential. Instead what we have is a genuinely entertaining and original combat, and a minigame that, were Criminal Girls to be a higher profile release, would have been controversial indeed.

A dungeon crawler RPG with a little bit of fetish and a very unique battle-system. If you enjoy dungeon-crawling RPG games and sexy anime, take a quick look at Criminal Girls: Invite Only.

Another dungeon crawler designed for PS Vita granted with some sexy minigames and a very unique battle system. A bit bland and unbalanced though.

There are plenty of superior RPGs available, and if you want to see sexy Japanese cartoons, the internet is always there for you.

In any case, if you don’t mind the sexual nature of the motivation mini-games and are looking for a JRPG that makes for a fun play in short burst and is a little different, then taking a peek at Criminal Girls: Invite Only might offer you a fairly enjoyable, if flawed, time.

Criminal Girls: Invite Only's reliance on shock value puts the weakest part of the game in the limelight, obscuring the otherwise interesting battle mechanics.

Criminal Girls feels rather simplistic for its nature, but it may be enough to scratch that RPG itch for some gamers.

Criminal Girls: Invitation Only starts off very lackluster with rather baffling gameplay choices, but after unlocking more skills that improve the battles drastically, dungeon crawler fans can easily find a lot of fun here.

There is a lot about Criminal Girls: Invite Only that is good, but as usual, it is hard to dig beneath the needless sexual content.

While the combat is entertaining and the dungeon crawling is okay, the story and the whole idea of having to “motivate” these girls are simply too unnecessary, too uncomfortable, and too offensive for this game to be worth your time.

When the rest of the game is basically just your standard dungeon crawler…well, it gets judged as a standard dungeon-crawler, and loses one or two marks for being kind of icky.

While most of the core mechanics are at least solid unfortunately what sticks in mind is the primitive portrayal of women.

If you are a fan of dungeon games and Japanese manga girls, you'll have some fun with Criminal Girls: Invite Only. If not, our advice is to try something else.

Criminal Girls quite ably eats up a good few hours early on, but simply fails to provide enough of a lasting experience to recommend. There are some interesting aspects, and it helps cater to a niche, but it's hard to find any area in the gameplay where things haven't been done considerably better elsewhere.

This is not to say that Criminal Girls: Invite Only is inherently broken; it certainly functions and offers over twenty hours of gameplay, but there’s better JRPGs available.

I wanted to like this game, heard it was censored, but thought how bad could it be cut up?
apparently a LOT. pink fog, added animal tails

I am a perv, openly perverted, and they destroyed this game.
I am completely lost at why a company that knows a game is aimed at a certain gamer type, would take out everything those gamers were after.....
they ruined what would have been a pervs delight, what made it unique.
do yourself a favor and import it.

I felt really weird about purchasing this game, since I am usually turned off by pervy games (Senran Kagura i'm pointing at you!) However, the gameplay looked retro and fun; plus I really wanted to play my Vita more, so I caved. What I did not expect is to enjoy both the battle system and pervy moments; I often laughed at the ridiculous interactive scenes with the girls. The story isn’t anything special, but I never intended to play the game for that anyways (I mean come on, the game is called Criminal Girls Invite Only). In the end, I am really enjoying this game. BUT I do have one warning, do not play this game in public with the volume turned up to 100 percent! I can only imagine the looks you would get… Full Review »

Definitely aI bought this game because I've been suffering from a dirth of JRPGs and I though this one looked adorable. Boy, was I wrong. Definitely a dirty, dirty game so be warned. While it does appear all the creativity went into developing the leveling and combat system, the game still has some appeal. Linear gameplay makes it not particularly challenging moving through the game, but the limitations of the combat system and the intrigue of the leveling system adds something that can be enjoyed.
