Warhammer 40K: Darktide on PS5 is superb action game filled with brutal violence and all the tongue-in-cheek dry British humour you expect from the universe.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide arrives on PlayStation 5 as one of the best cooperative experiences available today. All the combat variables, its excellent setting and the improvements implemented over the years result in a title capable of producing great laughs and brutal moments to keep the player entertained for countless hours.

This cooperative action shooter set in the Warhammer 40K universe delivers intense battles and improved content since its initial release, but its long missions and underwhelming narrative still leave room for improvement. Still, a fantastic option for fans of the genre.

Lots of action in an extremely atmospheric setting. The close combat could use a little more punch and the campaign could be tighter, but the character progression and expansion of the arsenal are motivating.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide finds interesting ways to utilize the PS5 hardware for an intense experience that is highly enjoyable.

There is plenty to love about Darktide, and all the improvements made to the game in the two years since its release have solidified it as one of the better co-op exclusive shooters. It's not without issues, particularly the long missions and the lack of a single-player experience. But if you love playing with random mutuals or even your friends, you'll have a blast in Darktide. Just make sure you have the time to finish some of these missions.

After an earlier release on other platforms, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is now available on the PlayStation 5 and in the best possible execution. The result is an entertaining title that feels especially good thanks to its gameplay and variety of missions. The downside is that the story does not really offer depth and the gameplay unfortunately just does not manage to be engaging for long play sessions. Nevertheless, this does make the game a suitable title for nice in-between play in shorter sessions.

Despite a catastrophic launch, Fatshark never gave up. They fixed what was not working and tuned what was. New progression systems are deep and engaging, loot and the means to obtain it is better and gameplay remains thrilling. A story of perseverance that some could take notes from.
