I'm an easily satisfied and entertained gamer on my 45's, and still haven't really understood why this game is so high rated. In the beginning, yes, it was great, every turn was so clever and unexplainable, but after some time it was all not fun. I mean, yeah, its "good" but not like THE SECOND HIGHEST RATED PS5 GAME SO FAR!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I give it a 5/10 and I mark this with a Spoiler alert. I have to start saying I do love this game, but you should be warned before to buy it, this game main story lasts 20 minutes. You appear in an office and then you have to find your way out, and there are no puzzles whatsoever. I thought the game was about an employee discovering the truth in the company, or revealing some life enchanting tips about loving yourself, and not spending all you life in a grey office. But no.... The game is about a voice speaking to you, telling you what door to go through, what other door to avoid, and if you go the wrong way, you have multiple (let's call it) "ending", depending which wrong way you go. In total, including every secret ending plus some endings more hard to find you'll have to find on YouTube, it may take you 2h. I warn you this game is not for everybody, and I like it because for me is not even a videogame is like a meme or a comedy. I spent €20 into this game and I regret, I would maximum pay €5 for this piece of "art". Expand

I get why people rave about this game, it's clear a lot of effort has gone into figuring out every possible interaction a player could have, however it doesn't help the fact that this gets old pretty quick. Unsurprisingly, a game about doing the same thing over and over again does get a little repetitive, even if it changes every time. I did manage to 'finish' the game at least so it can't have been the worst experience ever. Expand

A humorous tumble down the videogaming rabbit hole, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe gives us pointed, witty observations about game design. [Issue#15, p.91]

It’s a pseudo-sequel in the guise of a console port with some nice new accessibility options that cannot stop riffing on the fact that the original game was pretty much already a masterpiece.

Insanely fun and clever walking simulator with fresh content that brings a new dimension to the original adventure and pushes the video game medium forward.
