The Smurfs - Dreams is one of the best co-op games that you can play with its variety of super-fun levels, adorable game world, and clever gadgets that elevate the gameplay to new heights. I can't wait for more Smurftastic entertainment like this.

Smurfs Dreams deserve respect for favouring approach-ability over punishment, and should be a worthwhile present to any child who loves upbeat platformers. Any adult should give this a shot as well because it's a wonderfully designed game that really deserves attention. So with all that said, go blue because these Smurfs dreams have come true.

It may not be the best platformer of 2024, but The Smurfs: Dreams manages to stand out as an ideal proposal for all kinds of players, especially the youngest ones, with a very entertaining story and gameplay that engages from beginning to end, and does not stretch unnecessarily.

The Smurfs - Dreams is a delightful platformer and a fantastic pickup for anyone who loves Mario 3D Land or 3D World. This is very much inspired by it on a surface level, but with more rhythm to its platforming action. It's a trickier game than one might expect given the license, which has usually been used in simpler, less-challenging games. It plays nicely across the board and doesn't have a lot of flaws in its gameplay beyond having a set formula that changes up based on the weapons you have access to in the stage itself and a soundtrack that's hit or miss.

If you’re looking to be whisked away on a charming platforming adventure, I can say with certainty that The Smurfs: Dreams has you covered. It’s easy to tell when a game is good, because upon putting it down for a break, you’re left immediately thinking about picking it back up again. While this experience is maybe a tad brief, it’s clear that Ocellus Games has a bright future in the platforming space should the studio continue down this route. The Smurfs: Dreams is inventive, joyous, and a welcomed surprise of a game that I’m oh so very happy to have stumbled across.

The Smurfs Dreams is the perfect game to enjoy alongside family, or alone, as a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Thanks to its charming art direction, clever mechanics, and endearing characters it is a memorable experience, that offers plenty of replay value for completionists. It is a platformer that appeals to both nostalgic fans of the Smurfs and a younger generation of players, and arguably one of the best jump-n-run games published by Microids so far. I believe The Smurfs – Dreams is a nice surprise, which thanks to its friendly price tag can be an excellent gift for the holidays.

Gargamel seems to be a mighty sorcerer, though he has a low budget – the patches on his robe are telling. The Smurfs – Dreams also seems to have had a low budget, but the game, in turn, doesn’t need any patches. It’s beautiful and enjoyable – I simply recommend it.

After Marsupilami The Secret of the Sarcophagus in 2021, the Ocellus studio is now tackling the Smurfs license, at the request of Microids of course. After taking inspiration from Donkey Kong Country 3 years ago, it was a certain Super Mario 3D World that served as the basis for this epic of dreams, and once again, the result is satisfactory. Whether visually or in its gameplay, everything is done with care and a certain quality. There are even some flashes of brilliance in certain passages, such as the mirror level, the free fall in Tetris mode and the infiltration mission, not to mention these huge bosses to face who are also not lacking in game design ideas. No, really, it's clean and square as they say, even if deep down, it lacks risk-taking and diversity. In the meantime, this Smurfs: Epic Dreams does its job very well and does what is asked of it: a platform game suitable for young and old, playable in cooperation to mix generations, and therefore have a good time.

The Smurfs – Dreams is a welcome throwback to classic 3D platformers and makes for a good snackable game if you’ve already played the likes of Astro Bot or the Mario games (or don’t have the relevant consoles for them). It’ll keep you well entertained for the 7 or 8 hours it lasts and there are plenty of hidden secret collectables to hunt out. Whether you have any nostalgia for the Smurfs or are new to them you could do a lot worse than to have a snooze with the blues.

Overall, the game is incredibly fun and beautiful, and I found myself enjoying every moment I had in it. For anyone looking for a fairly light platformer with a cheerful atmosphere and puzzles, or who may be a fan of The Smurfs, this is an adventure worthy of embarking on. Just be aware that it is not very long or complex, but The Smurfs: Dreams is absolutely a game that will put a smile on my face every time I think of it.

The Smurfs - Dreams offers a varied platformer with some very interesting ideas. A journey through the dreams of several of the most beloved Smurfs of the village that falls short despite the collectibles that invite replayability.

The Epic Dreams of our friends the Smurfs does not turn into a nightmare thanks to its attractive visuals, its adapted handling and its game phases that take so little risk that they cannot mechanically sink. Nevertheless, with only four real distinct universes to visit and repetitive challenges that multiply like mushrooms, the Microids title is like its little poisoned heroes: numb. It is a 3D platformer intended for the youngest, all in all correct, which, like many dreams, is forgotten as soon as you reach its end.
