    There are way too much fake reviews on here so I will try to do my best to give an honest opinion of the game. This game is the same game released in 2013. The only thing that has changed is the graphics and they added the workbenches from the last of us 2. That is pretty much it with this game nothing else new. When you play this game it feels like you're playing a game from 2013. Which isn't a good thing especially because they improved the combat system in the last of us 2. My point being is this game feels extremely dated and it really is not worth $70. Even if you have never played the last of us before it is still not worth $70. $70 is the price of a 2022 game not a 2013 game. The Last of Us was a great game in 2013 but it doesn't hold up in 2022. I would suggest waiting for the price to drop on this one to atleast $40 before purchasing it. Or you can just play The last of us remastered it's the same thing with slightly dated graphics.

    I agree, it's not worth 70 dollars, but game itself is great. Can't wait for the PC version, because i think that's the main reason this remake exists. I have been playing original with PS3 emulator on PC and it's playable, but not perfect. Hopefully PC version of this remake comes soon, so i don't need to play with emulator anymore.

    Of course it goes without saying, that this game is    I agree, it's not worth 70 dollars, but game itself is great.     Da un remake di un remaste ed è uscito meno di dieci anni fa mi aspetto come minimo la perfezione, invece è solo un buon gioco con una buona grafica, comunque inferiore al 2, e nella opzione migliore su Console, a 30 FPS.. L'unica cosa che doveva essere perfetta in Questo gioco non lo è

    Nothing more than a ps3 game slapped with a paint job and a disability tax that what you all are paying for nothing new was put in this remake other than accessibility feature for the disabled.

    You can't give this game less than a 10. There is so much detail poured into it. And they've improved the gameplay tremendously. Prior to this release I've played The Last of Us two or three times (once on PS3, 1.75 times on the PS4 remaster). I've always liked the game but not loved it. I believe I had higher hopes originally for a survival horror game, whereas this was more like aYou can't give this game less than a 10. There is so much detail poured into it. And they've improved the gameplay tremendously. Prior to this release I've played The Last of Us two or three times (once on PS3, 1.75 times on the PS4 remaster). I've always liked the game but not loved it. I believe I had higher hopes originally for a survival horror game, whereas this was more like a dramatic action game. But on this new version I feel the survival elements a lot more strongly. I found the difficulty to be well balanced on Moderate, and 1/3 way though I switched to Hard, and that's what I'm still on about 2/3 through. The AI is a much better programmed. The companions do a better job of sticking with you, being helpful and not looking stupid; and the enemies feel more aggressive. You can't just sit back in a fight, you will get flanked. I like the rush of the combat. The feeling of popping off a lucky headshot when an enemy is just about to hit you -- this sort of thing happens often. It's very much in their design to have these "lucky" feeling moments, and yet they feel so visceral and cinematic. The whole game is a wonderful balance cinematic and gameplay. It's super engaging. The production design is so good that it immerses you in the world, and then the gameplay hits harder. This game is firing on all cylinders. It's a master class. I have officially come around on The Last of Us and am happy to admit it's one of the best games I've ever played. This remake polished it to a point where I really enjoy the game and just see the good things about it.… Expand

    Геймплей не поменяли, скрытые загрузки не убрали, не понимаю я этого ей цена 25 долларов не больше!    Все очень плохо, ничего нового не добавили , тупо графику подтянули и все . Мультиплеер вырезали, длс беспантовое я бы хотел лучше посмотреть прошлое Джоела , а не это все ...

Overall, this feels like a forced unnecessary remake because the game play is just as clunky the 2013 and 2014 and not as refined as in The Last of Us Part 2. It just feels like they made this game just to rename it with part 1 in the title because the majority of people didn't like part 2 and they wanted to...Same as the 2014 remaster of the 2013 version except with even better graphics. Overall, this feels like a forced unnecessary remake because the game play is just as clunky the 2013 and 2014 and not as refined as in The Last of Us Part 2. It just feels like they made this game just to rename it with part 1 in the title because the majority of people didn't like part 2 and they wanted to rub it in those people's faces who just want to play the original The Last of Us and pretend part 2 doesn't exist.     Love it! It looks amazing and plays amazing. The controls could probably have been improved a bit, at times they’re a little clunky.
    Otherwise it’s a fantastic game with a believable story.

    Eu sou muito fã da franquia , foi minha primeira pré venda e não me arrependo, sei que tem várias mudanças que teria sido bom a Naughty Dog colocar no game como esquiva , o Joel deitar dentre outras mudanças. De qualquer forma quando zerei o the Last of Us Part 2 eu sempre me perguntei: "Como seria jogar o primeiro jogo com esses gráficos?" Bom eu descobri e ficou lindo d+ e perfeito. UmEu sou muito fã da franquia , foi minha primeira pré venda e não me arrependo, sei que tem várias mudanças que teria sido bom a Naughty Dog colocar no game como esquiva , o Joel deitar dentre outras mudanças. The lighting and animations are significantly more detailed, and a noticeable improvement, but these small changes don’t justify the game’s 70$ price tag. They even cut the factions multiplayer, but charge more than both previous versions. If you’ve played the game before, you aren’tGood game, but it’s the exact same beat for beat from when I played it in 2009, just looks a bit better.     Anyone referring to this as a remake needs to research the difference between remake and remaster.
    This is the second remaster of this game. Repackaged for $70.
    Naughty Dog is trash and has no originality left in the tank.

    A lot of debate about it this is a remake and remaster. This is not a remake in my opinion nothing like RE2 or FF7 remakes. I still prefer last of us part 2 look at feel on PS5 at 60fps.

    I also prefer the story in part 2, you may need to be mentally strong to handle it but the story has so much more depth in part 2. Part 2 also has much better game play is as an over much better game,    A lot of debate about it this is a remake and remaster. This is not a remake in my opinion nothing like RE2 or FF7 remakes.     I liked the original game, which is not surprising, many did, but while it had a good story and pacing, I was frustrated by the game's gameplay mechanics and flawed controls (this is the case with many console exclusives, but that doesn't make it any less of an issue). I was hoping they'd have fixed some of the flaws of the original game, but unfortunately they haven't touched gameplay atI liked the original game, which is not surprising, many did, but while it had a good story and pacing, I was frustrated by the game's gameplay mechanics and flawed controls (this is the case with many console exclusives, but that doesn't make it any less of an issue). I was hoping they'd have fixed some of the flaws of the original game, but unfortunately they haven't touched gameplay at all, nor have they improved the controls. This "Remake" deserves nothing more than a 0 (unless your expectations are embarrassingly low) for 3 key reasons;
    A) This is not a remake. It's borderline false advertising, and most likely intentional to justify the $70 price tag. The vast majority of the changes that were made are in no way "next-gen". They could have been included in the PS4, or even the PS3 version of the game in a free update.
    B) Even if they called it what it is, a remaster, why do we need another remaster of a game that has already been remastered? You can stick the PS4 disc of TLOU in a PS5 and you get the same experience with marginally inferior graphics.
    C) I know I mentioned this before, but $70??? Seriously ND and Sony? What's the point of adding "audio description" for blind people if the majority of them WON'T BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE GAME? Especially during these times, it's absolutely disgusting for a AAA studio to pull a scam like this. Anyone who was involved in the decision making surrounding this project should be ashamed.
    Besides, if you were gonna waste recourses to "remake a game from the ground up", why didn't you remake Uncharted or the Jak and Daxter franchise? Their mechanics are far more outdated and they would benefit much more from a modern remake with updated gameplay. Either they are lying about "remaking TLOU from the ground up", and it took them very little recourses to remake it, or these publishers/devs are completely tone deaf.    … Expand

    Beautiful and classic game. I didn’t think I would play this game again after beating the remaster but decided to buy it and playing it on quality mode on my OLED TV it you can really see the work Naughty Dog has put in.

    I bought the game for 70 bucks, it is an amazing looking game but that’s not up for debate. Their are a few improvements like crafting and you can shiv clickers from the start without upgrading like previous versions. The human are smarter. Was it worth my 70 plus dollars……compared to other 70 dollar games NOPE! wait for a sale

I would say that boarders on false advertising and I'm not saying that to be hyperbolic.     As much as we love the skeleton, the way it’s been built upon here feels like a missed opportunity. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
