    Asking for $70 for what is essentially a graphical and technical upgrade from the remaster is an absolute joke. This should’ve been $30-40 tops I can’t believe Sony has become this greedy that they need to charge $70 for a game that has been out for almost a decade. The game itself is great but there’s not much replay ability in my opinion and it comes with less content than the originalAsking for $70 for what is essentially a graphical and technical upgrade from the remaster is an absolute joke. This game was incredible for it's time and it was given a very good remaster for PS4. Yes it looks slightly prettier and has some improvements to enemy AI but that's about it. It still plays the same, which at this point does make the game feel a bit dated. They've even managed to create some new bugs that didn't exist in the original! so i suppose that's something new. As gamers we need to look at the bigger picture and boycott these games and stop pre-ordering. if we don't we will continue to get remakes of remakes at full new game prices, And we will still get half finished buggy disasters like Cyberpunk, Saints Row, Days Gone etc. The only thing companies like Sony etc understand is money. Depriving them of your money is the only way to make them change. but if we all keep paying these prices and pre-ordering, they know they can just carry on doing what they're doing because we're too stupid to say no.… Expand

    Money grab. It only looks a little better. But it's the same game but with part one at the end. Don't buy this if you got the past version. And the price is insane only 4 the added graphics. You are not missing out on anything if you have played a older version!

    For the price tag, this game brings nothing new to the table!! It was rebuilt from the ground up with no ray traced reflections or improved combat mechanics. I’m not sure what defines a remake but in 2022 I’m expecting RT as at least an option rather than the multiple 1440p game modes….. which still drop frames in certain areas of the game that were present in the original and the remasterFor the price tag, this game brings nothing new to the table!!     If you’ve never played TLOU, get the remaster as it’s the same game but much cheaper but if you need these accessibility features or prefer haptics in the controller….. wait for the sales!!

    I own the Firefly edition as I’m a games collector but for everybody else….. see above before purchasing    … Expand

    Overpriced cash grab. It’s like Naughty Dog thinks any publicity is good publicity. I’ve yet to play Last of Us 2 because of the poor storytelling they thought was ok. Now they pull this. I’m done with this company.

    A soulless cashgrab from a creativley bakrupt company. The second time they have remastered the game game, only now with less features (no multiplayer).
    The "remastered" character models are uglier, too.
    Gameplay is still the same as 10 years ago and it shows. None of the impovements from TLOU2, despite charging the same as a brand new game.

    Wait for the super duper PS6 version.

    Juego carisimo, 80 euros es un puto robo por un remaster que no un remake,ademas no incluye el multijugador que venia tanto en la de ps3 como en la de ps4. Esta lleno de bugs, la IA es igual de penosa. Apenas hay mejoras en el gameplay. Por cierto, y el multijugador de el the last of us 2 para cuando?. Naughty dog quien te ha visto y quien te ve, cada vez peor.

    Esse jogo não justifica o preço, ta mais pra remaster, onde só melhora gráfico e mantém os mesmo problemas do original, principalmente a IA tanto dos inimigos, quanto dos aliados e também na dublagem brasileira onde o áudio em alguns momentos são muito baixos, jogo lançado originalmente lançado a 150 agora por 350 com falta de conteúdo ... o multiplayer...

The game is literally the same as the old versions, every little thing plays the same, even the positions where the NPCs stay, their actions, all the same as the old game.     People say Naughty dog was lazy, I dont think that is fair to say, I do think they are cowards. This remake is a farse and we were told a lie. They are cowards because they didnt dare to bring the level of the game to Part II, they are cowards because so much could be done to make the combat scenarios much more engaging and interesting to play. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!

But after playing through this I was left feeling disappointed. It was a joy to play through again but it feels less refined and restrained compared to part 2. Even the AI doesn’t feel as fleshed out as part 2. This feels more like a remaster of the remaster and also missing the multiplayer mode, the price point is certainly NOT justified. If you’re expecting something on the level of part 2 with gameplay, mechanics and AI and even dialogue with character interaction then keep expectations low sadly. I left this quite disappointed. If the price was lower and ND and Sony called it a remaster (because that’s all it seems to be), then this would be a lot better. It just feels way too ‘samey’ for it to constitute as a remake. Ultimately, this feels like a complete cash grab from Sony and ND just because of the upcoming tv show. Was nice to play through the story again though. If you’ve played through the original recently or the last few years then I’d wait until this eventually goes on sale.… Expand

    une honte pour un "remake" aussi feignant. la mocap n'a pas été refaite, les doublages n'ont pas été refait, les lignes de dialogue, l'histoire, etc... toutes ces choses n'ont pas été refaite, ce n'est donc pas un remake, mais un gros remaster. Et 80€ pour un remaster, c'est non.

    I think Naughty Dog is still my favourite developer and they made huge upgrades in terms of graphics, faces, details, environments and the enemy AI is also better now. However the game is the exact same. They didn't change the set pieces, Joel and Ellie has no new abilities and they didn't make the fighting areas bigger or more complex either. Overall this game isn't worth full price at all.

    It's hard to imagine this as more than the second remaster (not remake) of an absolutely incredible game. The graphics are significantly improved. After nearly a decade of improved gameplay development, Naughty Dog has delivered this game lacking those improvements. The AI are more perceptive, but not nearly as much as in The Last of Us Part II released 2 years prior. They don't signal toIt's hard to imagine this as more than the second remaster (not remake) of an absolutely incredible game. The graphics are significantly improved. After nearly a decade of improved gameplay development, Naughty Dog has delivered this game lacking those improvements. The AI are more perceptive, but not nearly as much as in The Last of Us Part II released 2 years prior. They don't signal to each other to tell them where you are. They don't call out for help. They go hostile immediately instead of searching for you, and don't return to idle after they lose you. Your gameplay has hardly improved either. The environments have been completely recreated from the ground up!--to be exactly the same. There are no places to prone, and you cannot prone. Each encounter location is exactly the same as in the original, failing to take advantage of the minor AI improvements. The environments are just as linear and hallway-like as they used to be, failing to take advantage of the upgraded hardware compared to PlayStation 3. There is nothing new to explore, nothing new to find, and almost nothing new at all. In fact, a large portion of the original game--the multiplayer--is completely missing.

    With the graphics improvements and the extremely welcome accessibility improvements, this is undeniably the best way to experience the story of The Last of Us. But it's difficult to see this game as anything more than much too little in comparison to The Last of Us Part II.    … Expand

Sony went into continuous commerce. $10 for an upgrade, a price increase for "more expensive development", a price increase for consoles, a drain on PC games. Then this comes along for no reason what so ever! In Canada this game is 90 bucks!!!! What are you talking about and its the same game with sharper graphics.     I loaded the game up and realized it had no multiplayer. The box they sent my Firefly edition in came destroyed and they offered no refund. They provided me trash and thats what I was served. No wonder they are getting sued for scamming. Im switching to Xbox.

    2020 graphics, barely reaches 50 FPS, boring, overpriced and mechanically outdated. The Last of Us is out again, but this time Sony thought it was worth $70. Gameplaywise The Last of Us isn't worth 2 cents, and it never has been. This hasn't mysteriously just started. Naughty Dog makes games for the critics, not games for hardcore gamers.

    Not worth the price tag. It's more like a $20 remaster of the PS4 remaster. They just replaced some assets by recycling Uncharted 4 stuff. That's why you can find plane trails in the sky despite the fact that there is no commercial aviation anymore in TLoU. It's hilarious but completely ruins the immersion.

    The Vanishing weapons from hands should never happen. The spit from near every person's mouth looks like grains of rice. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar.     The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
