If you like Skyrim, as I do, then don't worry because absolutely nothing has changed (most bugs and exploits are still in the game 2 full console generations and 5 game iterations later, so no worries there).

I've looked at some of the "critics" reviews and I've got to say, only the shills will try to spin paid mods into a positive. yes, they do add content, made by fans who likely care

I've looked at some of the "critics" reviews and I've got to say, only the shills will try to spin paid mods into a positive. yes, they do add content, made by fans who likely care more about the game than Bethesda themselves, unfortunately it's still them you'll have to pay for the privilege.
Since it's running on Bethesda's spaghetti, bug filled code, the creation club content will sometimes crash, sometimes soft lock, or straight up not work. (I've only downloaded the ones you get with the anniversary edition by default and still ran into this issue).

    Playstation 5 positives:

The only change you will notice isn't brought on by Bethesda, but is the sheer speed of the loading which is entirely made possible by the power of the ssd (I Imagine playing on a high end PC gets you the same experience) There are obviously still loading screens but if you're used to the ps3 and ps4's excruciating loading times where you are on your phone/other monitor every couple of minutes, it's a welcome change.

What's the point of this? You can play the PS4 version on a PS5 and the PS5 version didn't add anything of any significance. A truly pointless release

Chocolate is really good, but when you ate too much, you throw up.

Same goes with video games. Skyrim was cool 10 years ago, now please let it die in peace. I just cannot stand it anymore and now i am even hating this game. STOP with remasters, definitive editions, anniversary my ass, just stop.

Tbh, I really enjoy this game because the frame rate is realistic and so does the graphics. It's one of my favorite Skyrim ports of all time, including the PS4 version. I really enjoyed fighting against the dragons, bandits, skeletons, and more enemies. My final verdict of this game is a 10 out of 10!

Loved the game when it was released back in 11/11/11 and played it over 300 hours.

But this version is a punch in the face for all fans. Releasing a mini dlc and take the best mods from the community and than charge money for that? Funny Bethesda

I'm so sick and tired of this goddamn gaming re-releasing every couple years. Elder Scrolls 6 was teased 5 YEARS AGO and it's been nothing but silence since.

If the rest of the idiots buying the 46 versions of the game would stop needlessly and impulsively throwing money at Bethesda/Microsoft we might actually get the game we want instead of a repackaged 10 year old turd .They're similar

How many re-releases of a game can a person stomach? Apparently Bethesda doesn't give a crap. Maybe they'll care when they start seeing all these 0's for putting out the exact same game all the time.

Epic game gets a 0 for another nonsense re-release.

Being able to play Skyrim on my PS5 with true 4K @ 60 FPS is a dream come true.

Before this, I played it using... nefarious methods *wink wink* This Anniversary Edition marks the celebration of one of the greatest and most influential open-world

Can't play. Every time I try to walk in my house the game crashes while entering which means it corrupts the autosave. It crashes while I open my inventory or containers. The crashing started literally less than 5 minutes after making my character. I was running through Helgen in the very beginning and it crashed while I quicksaved. It's the same game as ten years ago but MORE broken. Nothing has been fixed and most of the new content doesn't mesh with the base game or its DLC. Can't plant new plants in Hearthfire. Can't use your new Hand To Hand weapons with the one and only hand to hand perk. That's right. A mode that ONLY EXISTS to make hand to hand better, doesn't even interact with the existing hand to hand perk. It's the same game as ten years ago but MORE broken. On the PS4 it really is worth upgrading to Aniversary edition since mods were not a thing before. But on PC you could already have a ton of more mods availabe to you. Plus it crashed your game when it was released. It was recently patched from Bethesda. Just one look at the user score will tell you everything you need to know. WHY do we even have critics? They're so far off the mark; it's bewildering. They have to be bought and paid for by gaming publishers. Complete morons can't even relate to the audience or the criteria consumers want.

Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    (10) Outstanding. A truly elite title that is nearly perfect in every way. This score is given out rarely and indicates a game that cannot be missed.

I paid ten dollars for the upgrade to PS5 (might have been a limited time release thing based on these other reviews) and replayed Skyrim since it’s been awhile for me. Skyrim is still a masterpiece, after all these years. I was surprised on how much more content they added to the Anniversary edition. They added a bunch of past mods into the standard game! The 10x faster loading screens are pretty much nonexistent. It’s a must buy if you want to replay Skyrim or never played it before and see why this game have been thriving for so long. If you have a PC though might want to play there for additional mods.

Skyrim’s 10th anniversary edition is a rich and polished package, offering over hundred hours of top class RPG experience. If you never got the chance to play it back in 7th generation, now is the best time to do it.

What was once the pinnacle of its genre has become a bit of a joke as it releases again and again and again. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition adds very little that can’t be found in the 2016 Special Edition or is already free with Creation Club content. There is enjoyment to be had out of playing the game in the new survival mode and I still adore the base game. However, Skyrim just isn’t as strong when held up to modern standards, and it is the fault of Bethesda that this tired horse is now running a race with so many others that are leagues faster.
