    The Callisto Protocol is great!! I can’t believe I put off buying it for months because of the poor YouTube reaction, twitter response and pro/user reviews!! They were all wrong! As a matter of fact, I love The Callisto Protocol! It has EXACTLY the type of gameplay I crave: great, hard hitting melee combat where you can FEEL the hits, along with vicious animations, and great ranged weaponsThe Callisto Protocol is great!! I can’t believe I put off buying it for months because of the poor YouTube reaction, twitter response and pro/user reviews!! They were all wrong! As a matter of fact, I love The Callisto Protocol! It has EXACTLY the type of gameplay I crave: great, hard hitting melee combat where you can FEEL the hits, along with vicious animations, and great ranged weapons combat!! And the Haptic Feedback and Trigger Effects on the Dualsense Controller are AMAZING!
    The thing we all have to do over and over in a video-game is what matters most. For some games it’s puzzles, for other games it’s climbing, parkour, fast gunplay, or platforming. In Callisto Protocol, it’s melee and shooting. And it has to be fun, right? Well, it is!! It’s FUN as hell!! Plus it looks STUNNING!! Wanna compare it to the Dead Space Remake? Ok; Dead Space has great shooting and cheap melee combat. The Callisto Protocol has great melee combat and good shooting. Now that i finished the game and started a New Game Plus, I revised my grade from an 8.8 to a 10! It's just as good as The Last of Us. To me it's the perfect game!    … Expand

    I love this game. People crying bc they suck at melee combat while not realizing that you’re supposed to utilize your environment and be strategic in combat. TCP has Massive potential for being a new IP. I just beat it after 15hrs on my Series X and it’s my GOTY pick! Amazing graphics. Atmosphere and Ambiance are unsettling AF. Sound and Lighting are superb! Solid combat mechanics once youI love this game. I’ll preface that the things I’d fix for the sequel though are more enemy variety. Different bosses. A few more melee weapons & a faster health injector. Incredible debut title. I can overlook the gripes and see the potential and know that I thoroughly enjoyed this game! Nobody who truly loves the Dead Space franchise can hate this game IMHO.… Expand

    Loving every minute of it , keeps me on edge constantly . Combat could have been better specially against multiple enemies otherwise for me on my PS5 Loving it .

    Amazing game, just the right length. No padding, well structured and executed.
    True survival horror, unlike some games where regular enemies become a joke half way through after you upgrade your equipment and you learn their quirks. Here thats not the case. They are always a threat, and force you to play cautiously. And they are always throwing enemies at you in creative unpredictable    Amazing game, just the right length.     Terribly underrated game. It has some faults, but this is a great attempt at a new IP and I think any Sci-FI/ Horror fan should give it a chance.

    I absolutely love it the graphics are top notch,the gore reminds me of god of war back when the devs weren’t afraid of gore the combat is absolutely a blast we all thought we were getting a pure dead space copy but instead got something more

    Just got through the first hour. I’ll update my review when done. So far, the game is worth your time. Black iron prison is one huge set piece full of atmosphere. The musical score and sound effects will keep you on a high awareness level. There’s quite a bit of game left to cover, but, so far, if you love sci-fi, thrillers, 3rd person action games and we’re a fan of dead space, give theJust got through the first hour.     Great game, great atmosphere, great combat, playing time is great being longer than Dead Space 1 and 2, I finished it in about 13 hours, which is great for Survivor Horror games and people who are complaining about the game time they should play an RPG or an open world if you want so many hours of repetitive content.

    Loving the game! Finally we get another taste of Glen Schofield's Imagination. It's been too long since we have gotten a sci Fi horror survival game. I hope we get a Calisto Protocol 2 in the future and this game becomes a franchise

    Great game! Played it on medium difficulty and feels like I can for sure replay it on the harder one and then maybe one day even try the upcoming hardcore mode. Game is worth the money and is a great survival horror game. Dont listen to the haters

    I think it’s A Game with Great Atmosphere, Sound and Graphics and is a good Foundation for a sequel that i hope will come some Day cause of the Mixed Reviews.

    I just dont understand any of the negative reviews! The game isn't even that hard! Also I'm over 10 hours in and not even half way done the game. Wtf is going on here? Lol I've never EVER seen a game get trashed like this when in all honesty it's the best game I've played all year, and it's also the most Next gen looking game I've seen since the new consoles launched.     Gostei demais do jogo, gráficos excelentes, historia que prende, ótima imersão. Estou jogando no PC, com um pouco de instabilidade, mas rodando bem na maioria do tempo em 4K 120FPS.

    Totally loved the game. Played on PS5 and quality of game is amazing. The Gameplay mechanics are very different to other games. For some people different can be bad and for some it can be good. For me it's very good. Graphics and animations are top notch. Story is good. Game longevity is good for a horror/survival game.

Honestly, it could have been just as good without all the disgusting death scenes. We really shouldn’t be so entertained by it, like we’re all serial killers inside. Anyway, the dodge and GRP mechanics make it interesting. No running around mashing buttons to roll around to dodge (which is horribly old, honestly). Well worth the purchase on PS5.… Expand

    The game is spectacular! On the PS5 it runs so well. I had a smile from ear to ear for most of the game. The music terrific as well. Get it! I want more please!

    The game ia great. If you like single player action thriller/horror games (like resident evil or dead space) youll like this game. More melee than other similar games. Environment is great and story is okay enough to keep you playing.

    Callisto has been review bombed by petty entitled Xboxers and PC players. Xboxers expect a brand new game to be 15 dollars, otherwise they hate it. I played this game, and as a die hard Dead Space fan I absolutely loved it. Literally every single complaint about the actual game, was completely unwarranted. I played it on my PS5 and I had 1 bug the entire game.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game. The Gameplay, the third person shooting, the story, the characters, the environments and especially the graphics are all excellent. Overall it's a great game. I had a good time with the game, and If you haven't checked out the game, I highly recommend you to Buy and play the game now. But maybe wait a bit more after the PC version has been patched. Even the death animations are awesome and extremely brutal than Mortal Kombat.… Expand

    I rate this game 10 stars because I genuinely believe it deserves it. Yes, it has some flaws here and there, but the overall experience is so good that I can forgive them. The graphics are stunning, the plot is decent, and the gameplay is addictive and rewarding. I highly recommend it, especially at such a discount.

    Ignore the reviews if you plan on playing this on PS5. Game runs smooth, has great ray-tracing, 4k res, stable 60fps, and it has great reflections too........ unlike the Xbox Series S (Potato) which is one of the worst consoles ever made. Can't even run 40fps at 1080p

    wonderful graphics and a challenger game-play. The storytelling gets better near the end. The scare is not the strong point of the game: it's more action than horror, but it's a great game

    Regarding performance issues: The PS5 version is fine and has none. And it looks fantastic in quality mode. The 'outrage' that is currently happening is because of the performance on other platforms.

    Regarding the game itself: It is a very straight forward spiritual successor of Dead Space, which was exactly what I wanted. Loving it so far.

    The game in the Italian version loses two good points. The voice acting is out of sync and low in places. For what I've been able to play it seems like a good video game and my 8 takes it. Too bad if it wasn't for the voice acting it was 9. The combat was fun..and its a 9. I put It 10 to raise the vote...too much ignorante in some people.     The story is beautiful and amazing, the Characters are well written, the graphics are the best i‘ve ever seen, the soundtrack is beautiful and i will listen to it for a long time.

    Most negatice reviews from losers haven‘t even played the game, but i did and it‘s a masterpiece.

    Makes me sick how bandwagon people are being. Probably because they didn't figure out the mechanics and need a game to hold their hand and reassure them that they're a champ.
    This game makes you feel a certain kind of way and it's incredible at it.
    Don't sleep on this one just because journalists ran a coordinated smear campaign. They did so they could shill for the big 3 and further degenerate gaming into nothing but factory filth. Guess they have to make sure real games don't get made anymore.

    The biggest complaint I keep hearing is that you lock on to the enemy that's attacking you, so it doesn't work for multiple enemies or... something. I gotta tell you that this game gives you all the tools you need. If a second character gets too close, you will still dodge it because it instantly locks to the enemy attacking. What you need to do is use the telekinesis glove to throw extra enemies out of the way if you get overwhelmed. SIMPLE AS THAT. Just pay attention to the environment and use everything you can to dominate enemies, that's what hazards and explosion tanks are there for. Just use them. Figuring out how to not get overwhelmed and managing enemies is THE WHOLE POINT, while being as ruthless and efficient as possible. This game is basically perfect at everything it attempts. I can't believe all this bad press it's getting from people who PLAY VIDEO GAMES FOR A LIVING, so you would think they wouldn't suck.

    Another thing is "it's just linear OMG I can't endlessly explore idiot areas aimlessly wahhh" Go play Ubisoft you morons. Get some micro trans checklists you're such a glutton for. Because that's exactly what you'll get when you only give excellent scores to cookie cutter games. You get what you deserve you fools. This game is a series of expertly crafted and paced GAUNTLETS, it always is throwing a new challenge at you each and every time and highlights the actual depth and game design prowess on clear display.

    Oh and too many vents... Well would you prefer broke asses with old systems and hardware couldn't play it? You need that to hide loading screens, besides this is how the previous games were and part of the DNA. They paced it out extremely well and I'd argue you wouldn't get near the same "Dead Space feeling" without them. It's all about vibe. What's funny is that this is a cross platform game and STILL has the best graphics I've ever seen in a game. Try and tell me it doesn't look like a literal movie from start to finish!

    I really enjoyed the game and don't really understand the negative criticism. It has great sound design, a dark and brutal story, some jumpscares and everything I wish for in a horror game. Yes, Dead Space had more variety in it. But still, I had a lot of fun with Callisto Protocol.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Dark, gritty horror. It has several enemies, although I heard it had only a few. Main zombie type, security guard in armour, fat brawler, acid spitter, giant spider things, crawling exploders, little wormies, tentacle skull pods, two headed guy... & that's what I've seen so far by chapter 5/8. Combat is really fun & although it could be played as a straight up brawler, has a lot of guns that you can acquire plenty of ammo for. Gun changing isn't terrible, you just have to back up or run while doing it. Satisfying kills. Wonderful atmosphere. Plenty of tense moments, & a story that is extremely fun & moving at certain points. It is far better than the resident evil remakes or village. It could have been longer, but leaving me wanting more is never a bad thing. I far prefer that to a game that overstays its welcome. I say anyone who likes survival horror owes it to themselves to play it. Do not believe what you hear.… Expand

It’s a tense gory trip into a hellish nightmare and I loved every minute. Ran perfectly on the ps5 and looks stunning. Is it game of the year ? No but does every game need to be ?     I love atmospheric games, and this is a bright representative! Today it is fashionable to criticize and you can always find fault. Passed about 40% of the game and today I'm 100% satisfied On PS5, the optimization is normal, I play in 60 fps mode

    one of the best immersive gore game i have played, the fighting mechanic is challenging and needs learning, understanding , using the environmental elements, its strategic and the game is a masterpiece, the visual are mind blowing.

    I truly just don’t understand the hate. As someone who played every dead space, I think this does a great job of introducing the genre to next gen. Amazing visuals, fun combat, and insanely awesome atmosphere. I’m fully convinced the mass gamer base is braindead. They hate on games like this but then buy the same call of duty or madden every year.

    A very cool feature I find the upgrade stations that does some awesome 3D printing, called Reforge Stations.
    Fighting multiple enemies can be a bit tricky.
    My true score would be an 8, but to counter all the unfair,low hate or dislike scores I give it a 10.

    I liked the game a lot. Im not quite sold on the whole season pass and story dlc stuff, would have been a better idea to make it all free. Nonetheless, this game is pretty cool. Great atmosphere, amazing visuals and a decent story. I know this developer team can do better and would love to see this become a series, as the world seems really interesting and has a lot of potential.

    20/10 amazing game if you’re a dead space fan you’re gonna be in love it blows the entire dead space franchise out of the water lol so original and fresh in all the right ways from story to combat amazing… we’re gonna need a sequel.

    Great game. 2-3 bugs at release, ok. But the feeling and the atmosphere is amazing. You always feel like you could die wherever you go. So the slow movement works really good!

Die Kritik, dass Callisto Protocol unvollständig released wurde, weil man Todesanimationen per DLC nachreichen wird, ist auch stumpfsinnig, da es genug Todesanimationen gibt und man hier auch nichts vermissen würde, wäre die Info über den DLC nicht bereits gestreut worden.

    Wie immer bleibt für mich 4players die einzige Webseite, die das Spiel mit 89% gerecht bewertet hat. Top Spiel, welches für mich jeden Euro wert war.    … Expand

    I absolutely love this game. It's beautiful, scary, and engaging. It is a high-quality single-player and story-driven Sci-Fi horror. Such games are a rare species nowadays, and I hope there will be a sequel.

    This new sci-fi survival horror is really worth it. The main character Jacob is a very likeable guy, who happens to be in the situation of this whole story.

    Graphics are really 10/10 The combat is a hard, but if you understand well the tutorial and practice a little bit with some enemies and restarting the checkpoint you will really master this for the whole game.     I don't understand the bad reviews. Production is so high, models, textures, level design, enemies, sound are first class. Game is built around systems, so if you play it again, it will be different (loot, death etc...) The game needs Game+ and you have to replay some parts because it can be unforgiven. I'm not sure if the quick weapon change and dodge mechanics ate the best choice, but itI don't understand the bad reviews.     I don't normally post reviews but the witch hunt for this game is unbelievable its honestly my best game of 2022 it's mind boggling the reviews it's been getting!!!
    Could it of done with some more time in the oven? probably yes! but it's such a great new franchise I really hope we get a sequel. Thanks to Glen and the team at striking distance it's like they made this game for me.

    Great great game. We don't need RPG elements + open world in every game. The combat is awesome, the game is hard but really fair. I cant wait for the new game plus and dlc, and i hope we get sequels.

    Comprei em Pré Venda, não dei Ouvidos ao Mímimi que estava tendo por conta de um mal entendido com a DLC, A Primeira Vista Você fica impressionado c o quão lindo Tecnicamente esse jogo é. E como as Mecânicas dele, Embora Simples Funcionam tão Bem. Tudo muito bem feito até os Mínimos Cuidados, e o Áudio é um Show a Parte, Mantém a Tensão a Todo Instante.

    Callisto Protocol makes some mistakes, but in general computing the good wins by far. It is true that it is somewhat angry to see that something with so much potential has not been fully squeezed, but what it offers is already much more than most. We trust that combat system that we have loved and its setting to make the game worthwhile and we would love to see a second installment.

    A visually beautiful sci-fi experience which, surprisingly, doesn’t resort to simply cloning Dead Space. The difficulty and the fear factor both don’t reach the heights I’d expect, however. A shame! It could have been extraordinary.
