    What a refreshing and original concept. Controls are very tight and responsive. Easy to pick up and learn. Graphics are more “next gen” than anything on Xbox Series, ( I own it) and the music and sound is top notch. There’s an interesting and easy to follow story with some beautiful artistry to support it. This is the type of game I buy Playstation for and thank you to everyone who worked on this and the publishers who took a chance on something new and different. There’s an audience of people who are sick to death of the same games every year and endless sequels. I’ll take this over Call of Duty 20 or Madden 30 any day. Worth owning a PS5 for and simply a great game-do yourself a favor and play it if you’re able.… Expand

    Great, original little game with great cyberpunk vibes! Finally a non-human protagonist + some really cool ideas in terms of story (love the writing), and can’t wait for a sequel!!

    A must play for gamers who love atmosphere and imaginative, creative worlds. Not only is it gorgeous to look at and play, but there is such a charm and beauty to the simplicity of Stray. It’s very straight forward with a few chapters to roam at your own leisure, but it’s such a tight package that so well made that I enjoyed two playthroughs and after some time away from it, I’m almostA must play for gamers who love atmosphere and imaginative, creative worlds.     A great little game right here. Visually the game looks great, specifically the animation on the cat. The gameplay is tight and movement and platforming felt very fluid and easy to pull off. The story was very wholesome, cute and was a joy to play. The in-between moments as well were a delight and allowed you to really sink into the world that the developers have created here, whetherA great little game right here.     It's more original and creative games like this we need.
    Kudos on Annapurna for supporting small studios like this and giving them the resources to bring their visions out into the world. This is a great game with an amazing premise, breathtaking scenery and atmosphere, and a great story that doesn't overstay its welcome. I hope we get more games like this and Sifu in the years to come.

    The cuteness of this title, the amazing environmental design, the story and the gameplay make of this game one of the better game I've ever played this year. Great work for a so small team.

    One of the most beautiful, enchanting, touching games ever made. A spell-binding cyber punk fairytale, with the most adorable protagonist you will ever play as. Granted, the actual game play challenge is fairly limited, but that is not the focus. It's an unforgettable, immersive experience that will make you fall in love with the medium again.

    Fell in love as soon as I first saw Stray few years back and it has more than surpassed my expectations.
    Brilliant visuals coupled with an beautifully detailed world.
    Soundtrack and audio in general is top notch as well as the lifelike animation.
    Intriguing story and such a joy to explore and discover more lore.
    More fully fledged out sequel would be pure ecstasy.

    What a beautiful game. Both visually, from a story telling perspective and from its presentation. A game where you play as a cat with a backpack, with no spoken dialogue and no big name developer might put some people off. But I had the most wonderful time playing this. You're never quite sure about certain things although you somewhat recognise them.
    all in all I really do think that this game is well deserving of a 10, because I cannot find a fault with it. I've tried but just couldn't think of anything. If you're on the fence about this game, don't be, it will charm you and you'll walk away feeling glad that you have played it.    … Expand

    Definitely GOTY! I loved this game from start to finish. 100% finished the game within 10 hours. According to other reviews I can be done within 8 hours. I enjoyed the game way too much.
    The game is so cute. Not the game we expected, but the game we needed and deserved.

    My only complaint is that it ends! What an amazing game for cat lovers. Lots of stuff that cat owners will relate. Good story, very nice gameplay. A very easy and light game that left me smiling while playing.

When you aren't wondering or doing side content, the story isn't bad itself. No spoiler but by the end I felt emotional and connected to these robots and to the Cat. It's a great game, a stunning world, and a simple yet beautiful story. Stray isn't going to be winning any GOTY awards .     It's a bold and loud 9/10, ONLY due to its length, could easily enjoy a couple of hours more.
    However, since I got it for "free" due to the clever PS Plus Premium timing, here's your 10!
    Congrats to Annapurna (can these guys make a crappy game? Seems not) for this magnificent emotional experience/journey.

There were many unexpected twists and turns throughout the game and I loved the exploration aspect that came from being a cat.     For a small, short, 13 hour, no cost to me indie game this game comes off flawless. The robots sound great! especially Kosma, pissed off robot cleaning paint, and all the other robots stories are cool. Soundtrack is done so well. The cityscape and lore is awesome. My favorite indie game Ive ever played.

The puzzle solving was really fun...and not too hard, but not too easy. The story kept my attention the entire time...you actually care about the characters. The game mechanics were a blast...platforming as a cat...hopping around to find secretsI had an absolute blast with this game.     Absolutely loved this cute little game, it was great fun getting to be a big hero but actually just be a cat messing around breaking things and happening to save the day. It was also a lot more emotional than I thought I’d was going to be. I’m a bit sad it’s over but I really enjoyed it and it’s one I definitely recommend to everyone, cat fan or not.

    I don't usually rate games, but this was just exceptional!

    From the world building, to the game play, to the incredibly touching story.

    You don't even have to like cats to fall in love with the protagonist of this game. It's a must play, and it's even more special if you love animals. But, that's certainly not a requirement.

And i like the idea that the robots can live full lives after the human civilivation.     A great experience from a game that I did not expect at all. Great gameplay, great story, graphics and music were well done in this game.

    Even though I'm a cat person, I wasn't 100% sure what to think about it before the release. I played it and absolutely loved it. The behavior displayed is just so spot on. Refreshing and just wholesome for a change. Definitely Indie game of the year.

    The best cat Game I ever experienced. It has the most realistic animation of a cat und the graphic looks sweet and a bit realistic. The story is also interesting. My only con is the gameplay but what're gonna do with a cat?! And you can always make cat noises!!!

    Jogo fantástico, divertido com quebra cabeças interessantes. Jogabilidade fluída e dinâmica, história fenomenal, não terminou como eu queria mas entendo o que os criadores quiseram passar, não tem ativismo de agendas e nem lacração apenas entretenimento. Fiquei muito feliz por jogar. Por mais jogos assim.

    The first time I heard of this game I thought it was silly cat simulator game, but I was surprised of the depth and layers this game presents to us, I loved every pit of this game from discovering the truth about this world to building relationship with the other characters, fantastic game.

    What else to say about this game, just fantastic, not a single bug on my 15h played. Got every award. I think my cat that passed away a few time ago motivated me to get all the achievements. both were very similar, almost identical. Amazing graphics, beautiful soundtrack, and wonderful controls on the PS5. plus the haptics and adaptive triggers are a real treat. This has been a purr-fect game!!! Even though it’s free on PS Premium and Essential, I would gladly pay for it. Hell I might even get the hard copy.     This game... o FFS this f... game, I just can't be 100% objective, with a game that has my two favourite things in the world so well connected in such an entertaining way, Cats and Cyberpunk esthetics.
    During the 4 to 5 hours that takes the adventure, you will cat all your way around a cyberpunk underground city, that will show the story of the demise of humanity MASTERPIECE and hopefully GOTY 22

    Aside from the whole "You play as a cat!" standpoint, this is an actual game, a very high quality game at that. There are optional tasks, good gameplay and mechanics, decent story and characters, and beautiful visuals and sound design.
    It's a bit on the shorter side, taking around 6 hours tops to beat.
    Definitely a no-brainer if you play it with PS+ Extra.

    This is just a wonderful, relaxing adventure game that makes you feel good as it takes you through an beautiful created world, made by inspired people with an obvious love for details. It doesnt have a map, a log, a big inventory and so you need to just focus on exploring, finding clues and figure out some riddles to make your way through an interesting and well written story. This aspect of the game is actually really intuitive since i always got an idea where to go, or what to search for and what has to be done. The fights are not so challenging but i admit, i did die a couple of times. I took my time and spent 7 hours to finish the game and exploring everything or sometimes just enjoyed the view. And it was worth evey single second. I got this game for free since it is included in playstation premium, but it gave me such a good time that i ordered a physical edition after i finished it to support this kind of small and inspired indie-studios. Anyway, its only half the price of those yearly recylced crap games from AAA Studios.… Expand

    Absolutely fantastic game! Had about 1-2 slight visual glitches, but that's all. Story was short but meaningful. Really loved the design choices. The cat was really good, good model, awesome handling. Amazing atmosphere and music. For 30$, yes, it is a bit shorter game, about 7 hours with some light collectibles collecting. Definitely will be doing a Platinum on this one.

    If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

    Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

    It sounds ridiculous. And maybe it is. But the first ten minutes of Stray broke our heart. We’re a soft-boiled egg when it comes to animals, even when they're completely fictional. A cat who loses his friends and then gets hurt? Enough for an intense feeling of sadness and pity. It is not the challenge, but the experience that is key in this game. You really play Stray for the atmosphere. And that's exactly right.
