    Wonderful little adventure game. Loved it. Reminded me a bit of these lightweight adventures like The Touryst or Ghost of a Tale... you just meet npc's in the world and do some quests for them or search for an item. Chill and beautiful.

    As for indie game Stray is perfect. It could even be called AA game. Lore is quite interesting - till the end I was curious about the history of that world.

    Story it's not that great but good enough for 5 hours game. One thing about B/12 was quite a surprise. And of course – main hero.     Really cute game. I haven't played it personally as im not much of a gamer but I've watched my friend's play it and it was really fun to witness all the adventures the cat goes on. The detail into not only the story by into mimicking typical feline behavior. It's fresh, engrossing and fun.

    Just finished this game yesterday and I gotta say, it's probably my favorite game so far in 2022. The atmosphere, music, and gameplay is terrific and it feels like a lived in world. There were many unexpected twists and turns throughout the game and I loved the exploration aspect that came from being a cat. I highly recommend this game to anyone and everyone who wants a nice, relaxingJust finished this game yesterday and I gotta say, it's probably my favorite game so far in 2022. The atmosphere, music, and gameplay is terrific and it feels like a lived in world.     I enjoyed every minute in this game. Yes its not revolutionary or groundbreaking game. But its solid adventure, music is good, vibe of the game is very warm and intriguing. I'm waiting their next game with big anticipation

Being an indie production you may expect to make compromises on quality, but that wasn't the case for this journey as the experience delivered both visually and mechanically to the standards I often set for AAA products (which sometimes even they themselves cannot reach). The developers clearly had an idea - Let's make a game where you play as a regular cat, and go on an adventure. To that end it was an absolute knockout as you're not playing as a cat with powers, or who can talk, or really anything special at all. You're a lost cat exploring to find your way home, solving puzzles, and occasionally being an absolute menace. Along the way you happen to observe the events of the world you're in, and even if those events aren't great, it ultimately doesn't matter. Games are defined by their gameplay first and foremost and in that respect it was fantastic. A great story could have only made it better, but as it is now, it's definitely an amazing achievement for an indie studio and I can't wait to see what they make next.… Expand

    For a small, short, 13 hour, no cost to me indie game this game comes off flawless. The robots sound great! especially Kosma, pissed off robot cleaning paint, and all the other robots stories are cool. Soundtrack is done so well. The cityscape and lore is awesome. My favorite indie game Ive ever played.

    The main question of player at the start and through the middle of the game - What happened with humans?And by exploring the world you learn more about it. In this game there is no words ( in our language ) spoken, and this also shows how you can get empathy to the beings even without any speech, only words written and actions.
    Soundtrack completely complements the whole game, with every "search" or "walking" segments the game starts playing themes that completing the sequence. The main theme is amazing though.
    The gameplay introduces us with literally a cat life. You can attach surfaces,sneak in places humans and robots couldn’t, and this game has even a meow for a specific button in controller.Also there lots of puzzles in this game.
    I don’t know what to say more, this game has become very personal to me, ever since announcement. So I thank B 12 and Annapurna Interactive for making such a pleasant,cute and relaxing journey, that brought me to tears in the end of it.

    Nice game to chill on, though one trophy is poorly designed (based on pure luck and relentlessness). I'd prefer free jumps mechanics but that one still works properly. The story is nice, as the level design. Graphics are nice without leaving you breathless.

    I had an absolute blast with this game. I mean...come on...you're a cat in a cyber punk-esque, maze like city...that's all I really need to say. The puzzle solving was really fun...and not too hard, but not too easy. The story kept my attention the entire time...you actually care about the characters. The game mechanics were a blast...platforming as a cat...hopping around to find secretsI had an absolute blast with this game.     Give it a go, You will like it! Had few bugs here and there, once in the 'battery' room game lagged as hell but restarting from a checkpoint fixed the issue ;) I think there maybe be a part two ??, idk... but that one moment at the end, i think it indicated possible continuation...    Well that was some adventure!

    The way the cat moves is so realistic. I was sad you couldn't just run and jump anywhere like a cat but the mechanic they created for jumping works well enough. My only real negative is the running feels a little slow like it's a movie framerate. That's just the way it is though. I even like the fact you can act like a cat with the robots and they all have different reactions.

    The characters in the world and the story is really interesting. It's not complex or entirely original but it's unique because it's experienced from the perspective of a cat and your companion robot. Parts of the story do involve the cat getting hurt and the sounds and animations are very realistic so be aware of that.

    There are puzzles and little side missions but overall the game is short if you want it to be. I replayed this a couple of times for the things I missed and a speed run. It's a little easy but it really is more of an experience than a challenge. Some of the later parts are a little harder but once you figure out what you're supposed to do it gets easy. I really enjoyed playing it and yeah it's short but it was good. I really hope they make more in this story.    … Expand

They really nailed all the interactions that the cat can have with the environment including knocking things off ledges, scratching carpets and furniture etc. The gameplay feels really natural as well, and it changes slightly from chapter to chapter giving each section it's own character.     Only issues I had: a few graphical issues here and there, somewhat excusable for a game with so many assets but did seem odd when they arose. Also, you can basically only jump when you get close enough to a ledge and see the on screen prompt to press the button. This made the game feel more restrictive than it should. That said, it is still a lot of fun to explore the world and see how far you can go.    … Expand

    Absolutely loved this cute little game, it was great fun getting to be a big hero but actually just be a cat messing around breaking things and happening to save the day. It was also a lot more emotional than I thought I’d was going to be. I’m a bit sad it’s over but I really enjoyed it and it’s one I definitely recommend to everyone, cat fan or not.

    I don't usually rate games, but this was just exceptional!

    From the world building, to the game play, to the incredibly touching story.

    You don't even have to like cats to fall in love with the protagonist of this game. It's a must play, and it's even more special if you love animals. But, that's certainly not a requirement.

And i like the idea that the robots can live full lives after the human civilivation.     The best cat Game I ever experienced. It has the most realistic animation of a cat und the graphic looks sweet and a bit realistic. The story is also interesting. My only con is the gameplay but what're gonna do with a cat?! And you can always make cat noises!!!

    A great game for someone who likes cyberpunk setting. Story picks up pace as you play and is quite intriguing. The cyberpunk levels were great and detailed. Loved the game overall.

    Great game! It's amazing how indie games are improving and bringing very pleasant experiences. Stray has amazing graphics for an indie game. The lighting is incredible and the story is really good! It's basically a platformer so gameplay could be improved a little bit.

    Después de haber dedicado 8 horas al titulo puedo decir algo, este título es una obra de arte. Para empezar me gustaría empezar con la historia, la verdad es una historia corta, muy digerible, no es una historia que te rompan la cabeza y creo que para la temática del juego me parece muy bien, siento que el gatito que a pesar que no entendemos lo que dice, el juego te ayuda a encariñarteDespués de haber dedicado 8 horas al titulo puedo decir algo, este título es una obra de arte. Para empezar me gustaría empezar con la historia, la verdad es una historia corta, muy digerible, no es una historia que te rompan la cabeza y creo que para la temática del juego me parece muy bien, siento que el gatito que a pesar que no entendemos lo que dice, el juego te ayuda a encariñarte con el, al igual que su acompañante solo que a diferencia del gatito veremos aprendiendo más sobre su historia como va avanzando el modo campaña, al igual me ha encantado como la pocas misiones secundarias que tiene el juego ayuda a encsriñarte o sentir afecto hacia los robots del mundo. Una cosa que me encantó fue el apartado artístico, me encantó como pudieron crear un título con un ambiente muy Cyberpunck y a la vez un ambiente algo oscuro para las zonas que están infectadas por los parásitos. Ligado a esto, me encantó la música, que para mí es como que la música ayuda en la ambientación del juego, no es como que esperes una música épica o explosiva, sino que el soundtrack es perfecto para el título que quieren dar y que sea como complemento para sumergirte más en este mundo. Una cosa que si no me gusto fue que en algunas zonas hay unas caídas brutales de fps y si a pesar que no arruinan la experiencia si se siente un poco inocomodo, y a la vez un par de ocasiones en que en algunas misiones secundarias como que se bugeaban y lo que hacía aveces no me lo valía o pareciera que no lo había hecho y pues si, un par de ocasiones tuve que reinicie un punto de guardado. En definitiva para mi este es el inide del año, y por el final que tiene espero con ansias que haya una continuación de esta historia en el futuro.… Expand

    Aside from the whole "You play as a cat!" standpoint, this is an actual game, a very high quality game at that. There are optional tasks, good gameplay and mechanics, decent story and characters, and beautiful visuals and sound design.
    It's a bit on the shorter side, taking around 6 hours tops to beat.
    Definitely a no-brainer if you play it with PS+ Extra.

    Nice little game where you play as a cat to find your way through a robot city. Chill, light puzzles, nice atmosphere, with a bit of sci-fi dystopia thrown in there. Recommend for sure. Was only like 5 or 6 hours.

Ходим, ласкаемся с семьей (как гласит описание игры на этом же сайте), но потом падаем в неизвестность без надежды вернуться обратно. Потрясающее вступление, издалека задающее тон игре. После проходим ряд преград, следуя за неким ИИ, чтоИгра начинается весьма интересно, ничего не зная об игре можно подумать, что на всем ее протяжении мы будем скитаться по заброшенным выцветшим постройкам. Ходим, ласкаемся с семьей (как гласит описание игры на этом же сайте), но потом падаем в неизвестность без надежды вернуться обратно. Потрясающее вступление, издалека задающее тон игре. После проходим ряд преград, следуя за неким ИИ, что тоже придает вступлению немало загадочности. После же начала всей истории нас будут знакомить (причем в буквальном смысле) с роботами. В игре хорошо прописана "человечность" этих самых роботов-компаньонов, сохраняя в них "роботность". Все роботы не просто похожи на людей, но еще и хороши как личности, что тоже отлично вписывается в концепцию "Вместо людей - почти такие же роботы". Пусть персонажей и не запоминаешь на всю игру (а только ключевых личностей), но у каждого есть свое поведение, характер, а некоторые даже могут подтолкнуть на смешинку. Отдельного внимания достойна атмосфера, создаваемая эмбиентом и окружением. Позволяет прочувствовать некую безысходность и брошенность в самом окружении. Невероятное умиление вызывает главный, не побоюсь слова, герой. Я не совсем понял, настоящий ли это кот или нет (что можно заподозрить по странно мелькающим в катсценах зрачках), но он понимает речь нашего B-12, который переводит речь остальных роботов, отвечает роботам на их реплики мяуканьем и т.д. Завязка и подача сюжета тоже не на менее высоком уровне. Сама завязка пусть и много где избита, но заставляет задумоца, как говорится. Также хорошо прописан персонаж самого B-12, к которому действительно привязываешься к концу игры. Человечность в нем проявляется правда не особо сильнее, чем в роботах, но с ним мы проводим чуть ли не всю игру.
    А теперь о малых проблемах игры: порой через чур линейно-коридорные уровни, хоть за всю игру нам дают две "открытых" локации (но на них замкнутость чувствуется не так ярко), также в игре присутствуют баги текстур (особо они заметны в катсценах), а также наводка прыжков и т.п., еще пусть это и робо-город, но абсурдности вызывает иногда то, как персонажи где-то и куда-то появляются и исчезают до какого-то момента в сюжете, меняется на измененных таким образом местах что-либо чрезвычайно координально. Лично меня концовка пробила не на слезу, а на целый небольшой водопад. Прошел за часов 5-6 за 3-4 дня. Вывод: игра мне нереально понравилась, могу посоветовать любителям интерактивного кинца, даже в какой-то степени экшена, ну и, конечно же, милоты. (Language - Russian)    … Expand

    This is just a wonderful, relaxing adventure game that makes you feel good as it takes you through an beautiful created world, made by inspired people with an obvious love for details. It doesnt have a map, a log, a big inventory and so you need to just focus on exploring, finding clues and figure out some riddles to make your way through an interesting and well written story. This aspect of the game is actually really intuitive since i always got an idea where to go, or what to search for and what has to be done. The fights are not so challenging but i admit, i did die a couple of times. I took my time and spent 7 hours to finish the game and exploring everything or sometimes just enjoyed the view. And it was worth evey single second. I got this game for free since it is included in playstation premium, but it gave me such a good time that i ordered a physical edition after i finished it to support this kind of small and inspired indie-studios. Anyway, its only half the price of those yearly recylced crap games from AAA Studios.… Expand

    This game was a real treat. I loved it and I appreciate games like this that are linear, short, and hugely story-based. Especially nowadays, in 2022, when every game has to be 100h of mostly slog and/or live service. I love the world they built here.

    Absolutely fantastic game! Had about 1-2 slight visual glitches, but that's all. Story was short but meaningful. Really loved the design choices. The cat was really good, good model, awesome handling. Amazing atmosphere and music. For 30$, yes, it is a bit shorter game, about 7 hours with some light collectibles collecting. Definitely will be doing a Platinum on this one.

    Interesting Story. Super fresh gameplay feel. You play as a cat and the cat movements are quite well done! Nice fun. Better than I expected from a smaller title like this.

The game switches from being about a cat separated from its group, to another fetch quest game. The robots were fun to interact with at first, but you realize slowly that the developers forgot that their game is about the damn cat.

    Really fun and wholesome game about a cat song fetch quest in a uniquely designed futuristic setting. Kinda like Untitled Goose game but it takes itself more seriously. Had a great time with it, ran super smooth and no issues during my play through. The only thing bad I can say about this game is screw that "can't cat-ch me" trophy, iykyk.

    In the days we keep playing the same thing,Stray definitely gave me a different taste.I was expecting simply a cat similator from what i saw in the traliers but i was sort of bemused when i saw the game included much more.

    Definitely a contender for game of the year! A beautiful, engaging and fun game that is executed with subtle perfection. Reminded me of City of Ember in its plot, the concept design and how the game forces you to actively explore is very rewarding. I do hope they make a sequel

    A game not about challenge but rather its rich atmosphere and amazing animation and visuals, I had an incredibly immersive expierance with this game and loved its brief bite sized expierance. My only problem is that I found it quite annoying that the game only lets you jump were it chooses so I was always pausing and wondering why the game is letting me here when their is nothing.

    Amazing game. It's short but that is not a weak spot, it's a storytelling game with a great world and characters. Simple yet amazing characters, old yet new ideas, and a stunning world with great graphics. I really recommend that game to everyone. I really do hope for more games like this

    I think the strength is in the exploration and interaction the player-cat has with their companion.

    Stray is a fun, relaxing game that, if you’ll forgive the pun, strays from the decision of so many game developers today to create experiences that are as exclusionary and ball-crushingly difficult as possible.

    Come for the cat, stay for the intriguing environments and characters.

Basically, I can do almost everything that cats do.

    Beautiful from start to finish a no brainer for anyone with ps plus extra and premium. On the shorter side at about 6 hours with your first play through but can be about ten after going through and wrapping up trophies. Overall enjoyed the fluid gameplay and puzzles and was pleasantly surprised with the characters and story along the way.

    I’m a dog person through & through, but Stray has me wanting a little kitty of my own since completing it! This game is seriously too cute to handle at times. I really loved my time with Stray even if it was painfully short lived.
    This game is gorgeous on PS5 & fully takes advantage of the Dualsense controller in masterful ways. I love the dedicated meow button too, instant 10/10. Leaping    I’m a dog person through & through, but Stray has me wanting a little kitty of my own since completing it! This game is seriously too cute to handle at times. I really loved my time with Stray even if it was painfully short lived.

Leaping around obstacles as a cat while causing some mischief here & there never got old. The level design is really something special, the sound design & soundtrack help add layers to it as well, I really loved the ambience of Stray’s OST. The game also tends to go into horror-lite places at times & it was honestly more effective than some of the actual horror games I’ve played recently! I didn’t expect a cat game to have an engaging story but we did get one with a lot of intrigue & lingering questions. I was invested in the characters even with the short time they got to shine.
    The main downside to Stray is sadly the same complaint most people had with it, the short length is a real detriment. While there’s only so much you can do as a cat in a cat video game, I truly wouldn’t have minded a few more hours of doing whatever cats want to do, that’s how enjoyable the gameplay was to me. I really hope the developers take what they did right here & take some of the criticism to build a truly great sequel, if that’s possible. I have too many questions with the subtle story & a creeping need to play as a cat again.
    Overall I‘ll be fondly reminiscing on my short time with the little Stray & their robot companions for a while to come.    … Expand

    If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

    Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

    It sounds ridiculous. And maybe it is. But the first ten minutes of Stray broke our heart. We’re a soft-boiled egg when it comes to animals, even when they're completely fictional. A cat who loses his friends and then gets hurt? Enough for an intense feeling of sadness and pity. It is not the challenge, but the experience that is key in this game. You really play Stray for the atmosphere. And that's exactly right.
