Decent gameplay but not a lot else to it. Pretty cool idea but I didn't love this one.

It's gunplay , Movement , Pacing , TTK's , Slightly more tactical approach and it's third person perspective were all right up my alley . It also helped that I found the cyberpunk-ish world and characters appealing to the eye but that's pretty much the end of my positivity

For starters the netcode is abhorent . Constant connectivity issues and latency issues galore . Sometimes the match will run like butter and it will feel just right and other times 1/4 of your bullets will refuse to register . After all there is a reason why they don't allow you to see anyone's ping

The matchmaking is also terrible as it calculates the MMR of the team as a whole and not on an individual basis to make queue's faster . This creates extremely uneven teams where one to two players often have to do all the hard work which gets old fast and makes any mode aside from TDM practically unplayable unless you have at least 2 friends with you

Speaking of unplayable Rogue Company died for me the moment they gave in and decided to force crossplay with PC players . Gotta love on top of dealing with the crappy servers to being forced to pre-fire around corners to make the firefight somewhat even in timing and if that wasn't enough many PC players are obviously wall hacking (They use info characters to masquarade the fact that they're doing it too) and using subtle aimbots because the game is a cheaters wetdream due to the nonexistent anti-cheat and pointless report system

The balancing is also in a terrible state and every design choice they've made on characters , Weapons or maps since it's inception has been one step forward and two back . They buff and nerf things at seemingly random because they don't play their own game and generally speaking ever since TDM (Even if it's the only mode that doesn't suck balls nowadays) Armor and weapon mastery were introduced it all went to sh*t

There are other things they've tried to pull only to get backlash like refusing to fix reputation challenges or purposefully making them ridiculous to force you into buying characters , Calling the forced crossplay with PC a "bug" when it was clearly a desperation move to save the game on PC (Like always) or focusing on pointless crap like the random as hell collaboration with The Walking Dead comic , Removing TDM for no reason when it was their most played mode and buffing/nerfing female asses when known bugs that have existed for years were never addressed

It's hard to defend a game that it's own development/publisher team abandoned the moment they realized it wouldn't be the cash cow they hoped for . The writing was on the wall very early on when Hi-Rez prioritized sucking up to cringe streamers (Who all took the easy money and bounced like thieves in the night) instead of fixing their own game . Like many of Hi-Rez's products Rogue Company was a get rich quick by cashing on a trend scheme but the sad part is that this one actually had potential
