    A fairly standard roguelike, [REDACTED] is nevertheless a fun, if brief, return to Black Iron Prison. Just with a much more colourful, flashy aesthetic!

    Redacted has all the addictive core elements of an enjoyable roguelike: a good variety of weapons, abilities, and synergies with a well-polished presentation. The racing rivals and random events keep runs feeling fresh, although its comparatively short runtime and relatively lacklustre melee combat prevent it from being one of the greatest.

    Redacted comes off as trying too hard in all the wrong places when the core of the gameplay is right there doing all the hard work making it a decent game. It's a rougelike with a rough exterior that once you crack through the dizzying first several hours, you'll have a lot of fun experimenting with mutated destruction.
