If you want a particular kind of match, at a very specific difficulty setting, you can make that happen. I was mashing buttons through the post-game interviews, but the actual games are excellent. I’m thrilled they have so many control schemes to choose from, especially since stick controls are so egregious. The courses look awesome, your swings feel precise, and every stroke sounds excellent. If you’re looking for that next great sim golf game, PGA Tour 2K25 should be your first choice.

PGA Tour 2K25 is another huge leap in quality for the franchise, delivering an exceptional golf simulator focused on the single-player experience while still offering good multiplayer options. The gameplay quality and the depth of its modes make it a must-have title for fans of the sport.

PGA Tour 2K25 takes some noticeable steps forward compared to its now two-year-old predecessor: PGA Tour 2K25 looks and plays great. No reason for criticism? Yes, there are. The career is suffering of the tedious interviews and the overall very staid surroundings. In addition, minor balancing problems and the still very present microtransactions are annoying.

PGA Tour 2K25 arrives after a long break, which 2K and HB Studios have used to improve the aesthetics and enhance the game offering. The game options have been expanded in both single and multiplayer and the existing ones have been refined, and three major tournaments have arrived as well as some new courses, while the roster could certainly have been more consistent. There are still some navigation problems in the menus due to some small bugs and the new control system, alongside the existing ones, requires a lot of patience and training.

With this new golf game, 2K Games takes the franchise to an even higher level. EvoSwing is a good gameplay element and it is fun to be able to create your own courses. More importantly, the entry level for beginners is fine, but it's also great for pros. Graphically it is a step forward and the MyCareer mode is also heading in the right direction. Although the game wants to crash sporadically, and adding gameplay improvements to the Premium Pass is a somewhat curious choice that somewhat encourages pay-to-win.

PGA Tour 2K25 is a pretty solid evolution, with key improvements in control, customization and realism. EvoSwing is a welcome addition that adds depth to the gameplay, and the Dynamic Rounds system makes it easier to enjoy career mode without compromising the experience.

PGA Tour 2K25 is a good leap forward from the previous chapter in numerous respects. Prominent is the revamped control system, EvoSwing, which aims to replicate on the right stick the swing of the golf club on the grass. but also from the point of view of graphics, sound and modes we can appreciate some new introductions, not as relevant as EvoSwing, but still appreciable. As for the outline, however, the direction taken is leading the series toward the standard sportsman structure, which in our opinion does not lend itself well to this discipline.

After taking a year off, HB Studios' signature golfing franchise sees a strong resurgence thanks to excellent gameplay and presentation.

Although it does not win the award for the best golf simulation on the planet (EA still holds that title), PGA Tour 2K25 offers fans a worthy experience on greens and fairways. The changes to the swing phase are spot on, as are the revised physics for courses and balls. The improvements made to MyPlayer and MyCareer are truly appreciable, while the addition of the three majors will please all lovers of the noble sport.

A staging that’s too absent and a career mode that feels austere, but precise gameplay and a wealth of content that could keep players engaged in the long run.

While not striking the same feeling of EA’s golf games of old, PGA Tour 2K25 is HB Studios' best effort yet. There’s enough here to keep you going for a while and if the PGA Tour 2K series continues on this trajectory, might just have the best take on golf games in years to come.

While the latest titles in the PGA Tour license left us a little hungry, 2K21 being too classic and 2K23 not very ergonomic, PGA Tour 2K25 manages to enchant with its Career mode. The latter is very complete, leaving an exhilarating feeling of progression throughout the season with marketing choices, calendar, equipment and skill points finally completed. The most discerning will say that NBA 2K lacks an open world, but it is clear that there has been progress this year also in online games. The fully customizable gameplay is still as precise in approaches or putts. Enough to live a great experience for any fan of golf or the saga.

2K hits almost a hole-in-one with PGA TOUR 2K25, the best golf sim out there. EvoSwing and diverse modes keep it fresh, but the audio falls short. Still, a must-play for golf fans.

In short, PGA Tour 2K25 expands and refines what we saw in the previous installment with revamped swing mechanics, more customization and progression options, MyCAREER tweaks to make tournaments more dynamic, and new online competitive modes. However, after two years we were expecting a bigger leap, and its focus on a structure more centered on missions and recurring objectives can end up being a bit unbecoming of a game of this type, at least at first. In any case, it is a highly recommended title for fans of the series, and we believe that those who enjoyed the previous installment (or the demo, whose progress can be carried over to the final version) will also enjoy this title.

PGA Tour 2K25 is still a few strokes behind EA Sports PGA Tour as the best golfing simulator around, but if it continues to improve like this with each new iteration, we may see it close that gap relatively soon.

With its strong Online play side supported by Societes, which it offered in previous games, and the ability to build and play your own course, it may be the best game that golf game lovers can find at the moment.

The former comes from its excellent shot crafting and wonderful shot-to-shot golf play which is moreish and multifaceted. The latter comes in the form of disappointing commentary and audio, a dizzying amount of transition screens, some missteps in skills, and the glaring absence of the most famous courses and tournaments which still keep it firmly in EA Sports PGA Tour’s shadow.

While PGA Tour 2K25 is definitely a competent golf game, it’s the little touches that elevate a game from good to great. In a genre as established as golf games, it’s surprising that this title doesn’t quite hit the mark. However, for those eager for the latest golfing experience or who haven’t played a new golf game in years, PGA Tour 2K25 is still a good choice.
