The graphics looks nearly identical to the last game, and the greedy developers had the audacity to increase the price to $70. 2K Games has way more money than Maximum Games. There is no excuse for the same graphics. Although I will say it was kinda worth it just to get Tiger Woods in this game. The addition of TopGolf is a stroke of genius, and you can even play the mode online. Online multiplayer is good. The reward system is well thought out. There are a variation of options and modes to choose from. Course designer has so much depth. $70 is a bit too much. I recommend you get it until it is like $30-$40.

It’s the best golf game on the market by virtue of being the only real golf game on the market. The gameplay is very good; almost too good as it has you just a frustrated at time as in real life!

Sadly they dropped the ball in many other areas: graphics and performance. Screen tearing and dropped frames on a PS5 for graphics that look decidedly last gen is pretty bad. Player models do

Player models do not even resemble their real life counterparts. Visual customization of your player is a regression from last year‘s game.

Glad I got this one for free on PS5 as it is not different enough from previous versions which I paid $$ for.

GOOD - looks good on PS5. I like the stick swing, its hard but that is how it should be. NOT SO GOOD - dated engine behind it all. Societies just do not do it for me. Confusing interface at first THE BAD - It still remains "Quitters Golf" after several versions. You go

THE BAD - It still remains "Quitters Golf" after several versions. You go into an online match and if your opponent has a poor shot or begins to lose they quit the game - no penalty, no quit percentage. Loading times are abysmal - slowest loading and switching between screens of any game I own.

I hate the announcers almost as much as i hate putting i mean when i hit the ball where i want it they say it's a bad shot and when i hit the ball where i don't want it's a good shot, they claerly don't know what the hell they're talking about because pretty much everything they say is wrong also some of the **** they say is just reused audio from past games but on the topic of thingsI hate the announcers almost as much as i hate putting i mean when i hit the ball where i want it they say it's a bad shot and when i hit the ball where i don't want it's a good shot, they claerly don't know what the hell they're talking about because pretty much everything they say is wrong also some of the **** they say is just reused audio from past games but on the topic of things being reused rom past games why did they remove QOL things from 2k21 such as being able to reset the round and being able to speed up the game when waiting for the ball the stop, i'm pretty sure 2k21 let you do that stuff so why can't you here it's so dumb and over all make it a worst game and since the games are almost 100% the same there's no reason to play this over 2k21, now to be fair the announcers and the putting are just as bad in 2k21 as they are here but still. Decent enough, but basically the same as 2k21. Worth a few rounds once you get used to the timing of the swing, which you can make easier but I think this takes the fun out of it. Graphics on PS4 are same as 2k21 on PS4. Some of the commentary is also re-used. Some unusual glitches. But overall, a decent golf sim if you like that stuff.

Triple A price tag for $20 worth of content. Gameplay mechanica are great. Player and equipment customization is very lacking. Sponsors system is broken and needs reworked.

In the end, PGA Tour 2K23 is far from perfect, but also much closer than anyone could have expected. With EA Sports re-entering the video golf scene next year, I have high hopes that fresh competition and a little fine-tuning will encourage 2K to deliver a resurgence of excitement to golf game enthusiasts in the years to come.

PGA Tour 2K23 takes an already excellent golfing simulator and builds upon it, making it better and more fleshed out by adding things that were sorely needed. We’re still waiting for properly glamourous careers and tournaments but the gameplay itself will spellbind every golf fan.

I’ve missed having a good golf sim and PGA Tour 2K23 is indeed a good golf sim, part of me would have like a skip button as well/instead of the speed up button so that you could get straight to your next shot rather than having to watch your shot from start to finish… but that’s nit picking and not essential. Once you get over the initial hurdle of getting used to the controls it starts to become a more relaxing experience… but not so calm that you won’t find yourself occasionally shanking your shot into the water or slicing into a bunker. Ultimately though it’s a fun way to spend some time in virtual nature.
