Miasma Chronicles is a great game that lovers of tactical strategy and stealth games will enjoy. The Bearded Ladies refine the formula of Mutant Year Zero in a proposal that is kinder to the player, but that is not exempt from a sometimes strangely managed difficulty. The story takes time to start, but even in those first hours it is capable of pushing us to continue playing.

The Bearded Ladies signs a winning return to the Tactical-RPG genre after the potential trial run Mutant Year Zero. Miasma Chronicles retains the same formula in gameplay, namely a title combining RPG, Xcom-style strategy and even infiltration to make the task easier in combat. The scenario, the characters, the graphics and the sound form an organic universe largely at the level to make the game one of the beautiful surprises of the year 2023. There remain a few imperfections (camera, difficulty, etc.) to be corrected so that the Swedish studio establishes itself as the leader of the genre for the rest of its adventures.

I'm pretty sure this is the third game in a row that I've covered that has a post-apocalyptic setting, and of them all, Miasma Chronicles' world is by far the most interesting. Seeing classic American iconography all twisted and wrong is something that always catches my eye, and Miasma Chronicles delivers on that front. A must-buy for fans of XCOM and tactics games in general.

Miasma Chronicles is a challenging and at the same time great turn-based strategy game that will take us to fight a strange threat in a world destroyed by what they call miasma. The playable mechanics work very well and he offers his personal touch to the formula. It is not a perfect game but it keeps the player hooked.

You may call it a spiritual successor, but what it is, is an immersive, simple, yet enjoyable tactical RPG with an intriguing story and some nice graphics. If you are into strategizing and post-apocalyptic worlds, there's plenty to look forward to here.

Miasma Chronicles is a good tactical role-playing video game that has little to envy to the great references of the genre. Its combat system full of possibilities and its use of stealth are two compelling reasons not to underestimate this title from the authors of Mutant Year Zero.

This is the logical step after Mutant Year Zero. Fun combat and smart stealth sequences in a very accessible game.

I had a great time with Miasma Chronicles, and I legitimately didn't want it to end. The accessible tactical combat had me coming back for more, and I loved the environments and the visually pleasing destruction the Miasma has wrought. Though its story is pretty wonky, I still enjoyed what I experienced and hope that a sequel will fully flesh out what is happening in this world.

Miasma Chronicles is an excellent addition to the turn-based strategy genre. If you're a fan of tactics in the RPG setting, this game will offer you hours of good fun.
