    Not as good as the original. The gameplay is improved upon but the story is mediocre at best. The main villain is uninteresting and bland. I ran into some glitches along the way playing this title.

    Spider- man miles morales is another great spider-man game made by insomniac but it once again slips a couple steps back from being a masterpiece. Firstly the story is way too short which heavily effects the character's motivations and development. The story being also affects a "twist" that's supposed to be surprising but it's revealed way to early in the game to truly care. The new addition of venom powers are amazing but I still feel it could've used just a bit more uniquely. But I guess they'll fix that in the sequel if they'll let us play as miles. New york looks as great as it did in the last game but i'm somewhat dissapointed we didn't get to go too any other cities in new york but once again i'm guessing they are saving that for the next game. Overall, I really enjoyed this game a lot and I do recommend it.… Expand

    The game itself is pretty good, combat and traversal is as satisfying as the previous game, the graphics on the PS5 are absolutely stunning and I did enjoy the story.     The main reason for the low score I’m giving the game though, is the obvious woke propaganda that has been smeared all over the game. I have no issue with a version of Spider-Man that is black/hispanic, but then it just so happens that his best friend is Asian and it just so happens that he develops an interest in a disabled (deaf) girl over the course of the game. I’m actually kind of surprised that Ganke didn’t come out as gay, but there’s always a sequel for that to happen. Then there are the occasional reminders that ‘he’s OUR Spider-Man’ (as in belonging to Harlem/ethnic minorities) and that ‘finally Harlem has someone looking out for them’, despite the fact that I clearly remember swinging around Harlem, kicking the crap out of bad guys as the OG Spider-Man. But worst of all is the “gift” that the player receives for completing all the FNSM side quests, a massive Black Lives Matter mural. Seeing such a blatantly racist organisation promoted in a game that many people paid a lot of money for, just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps all this explains the underwhelming length of the game, it wasn’t so much about creating something worth the price, but more about promoting a certain ideology.    … Expand

    Me ha gustado mucho aunque la historia principal es algo corta, pero muy disfrutable. El doblaje castellano muy bueno, la mecánica del juego igual que el primero nada que reseñar. Es una pasada volar por nueva York de esa forma.

It was a nice bonus, but nothing really knocks me out here.     Graphics/Presentation

    In places bombastic and very pretty to look at, especially the reflections and effects associated with the electricity. There were also WOW effects, the characters looked good and you could see different costumes and so on. There wasn't much room for improvement here compared to the part before.

    gameplay

    The new elements that come into play with Miles make the combo gameplay even more powerful and dynamic. It runs buttery smooth and is one of the great strengths of the part. Unfortunately, the excellent combat is paired with relatively lifeless combat areas. It's actually always the same principle: closed area where you have to eliminate a certain number of enemies. This is lined up several times and then the mission is complete. But it was nice that you had different tools available to eliminate the opponents, although not very many new things have been added here.

    Luckily there wasn't a lot of stealth, but a little more variety wouldn't have hurt, especially in the boss fights there could have been more. The fights that were there were staged very strongly and were a lot of fun. I tried and played through all the different activities and challenges, but it was just too much copy and paste from the other Spiderman for me. I didn't really like these side quests there.

    Otherwise you get more of Spiderman here.

    Conclusion

    If you liked Spiderman, you can't go wrong with Miles Morales. You basically get the same thing here with a different character and a few more weaknesses. In particular, the game unfortunately fell short of the campaign. Overall 7/10 spiders.    … Expand

    A great game for representation, I absolutely loved the story in this game and the overarching theme of Miles being anyone's Spiderman no matter where they are from. I despise all the go woke go broke comments in here, us whites have had infinitely more protagonists and games base all about us, this game is great for breaking that.

    Although the gameplay was improved, and have better web swing than the previous version, but the story is a big minus point I don't feel enough the pressure of being a super hero, it makes me fell like I'm watching an anime that every problems can be solved by power of belief.

    First and foremost, this game looks amazing! It looks just as good as ratchet and clank. And there’s some serious artwork done here. The combat is so fun, and so is roaming around New York as Spider-Man. The city looks amazing and has a unique snow-tone to it too. But the game does get a bit repetitive, enemy wise. And the story is so short! That being said, I’ll be getting each and everyFirst and foremost, this game looks amazing! It looks just as good as ratchet and clank.     I found It's length to be the only con in an otherwise flawless game. Sometimes the stake don't seem as high as the main Spiderman game but that's fine....

    I liked the game. The narrative is ok, the plot is kinda ok. I missed the gadgets from the previous game, the venom punches are just ok. The stealth is great. The optional missions are still interesting. There is less grind than in the previous game. The game is a lot shorter than the previous one.

    I enjoyed the game so much, its Spiderman 2018 but refined at every level yet they feel very different. In my opinion this is better than Spiderman 2018, only issue is the length of game that doesn’t reflect the price point for 30 dollar this would be a 10/10 but i the price knocks it down to a 8.5 but i have put a 10 to counter all the butthurt xbox fan boys that are eating this game aI enjoyed the game so much, its Spiderman 2018 but refined at every level yet they feel very different.     Great game for Spiderman fans. It impresses with its graphics and storyline. There are many costumes and perks available. There are also many additional quests for grind fans.

I started playing the game late Thursday night, played 2 hours, picked it up again Friday morning, and had the game completely finished with 100% completion (according to the map indicator) by mid-Friday afternoon.Fashionably late to my review because this sat here in my backlog for ages. If I were giving this review a TLDR Headline it would be: "Should have been a DLC for the base game." I started playing the game late Thursday night, played 2 hours, picked it up again Friday morning, and had the game completely finished with 100% completion (according to the map indicator) by mid-Friday afternoon. 10.5 hours total time. That's how short the game is. Of that time, a good third of it was spent chasing down collectibles. Take the collectible padding out of it and this game is a 5-6 hour campaign, including the side-quests and neighborhood crimes. All I have left is to do a new game+ to clean up trophies, which I'm not feeling particularly motivated to do. Speaking of new game+, it's clear the devs knew this game's length was going to be a problem which is why they locked the final upgrade of every skill and gadget behind a new game+ playthrough.

    The game's length would be fine if the campaign had any decently memorable villains or characters like the first game. But it doesn't. The entire story is cliché, ham-handed, and filled to the brim with current event virtue signaling. And because the game is so short, there's no time to build up any suspense meaning key plot points are easily telegraphed long before they occur.

    Swinging through New York is as fun as ever, but combat is beginning to feel stale even with the inclusion of the new bioelectric Venom powers. The problem with the Venom powers is that the developers then leaned on this new mechanic as a crutch and made damn near every enemy group have multiple types who could only be damaged by Venom -- or an enemy type that could prevent you from using Venom. It became very tedious quickly and was apparent that this was being used as a way to artificially enhance the game's difficulty.

    I'm very glad I bought this on discount later because had I paid the original full retail price, I would have felt very ripped off.    … Expand

    O jogo está perfeito assim como o antecessor dele, apesar de ser mais curto trás uma história espetacular, os gráficos estão muito bons, as missões secundárias estão daoras, o jogo é outro trabalho incrível da Insomniac, mesmo sendo curto vale apena.

    Much like the original Spider-Man ps4 this game is fantastic. You got the web slinging, you got the bad guy beat downs and you got a great story with fantastic acting. This is a great psuedo-sequel to the original, though I must admit, I played this one first.

    To me the game look amazing, I love the atmosfere of winter, and the way Miles swings through the city is mesmerizing, feels great. I liked the game better then the original spiderman game. For me that game had tot much filler content. Miles is on the short side but has great quality. I had tons of fun playing this game although it could have been a bit longer.

    My local Library had this game in stock (I was surprised too) so I got it, and I DO NOT regret it. I played the first one and enjoyed it, Had a couple bugs at the start of the game with getting stuck and stuff, but the rest of the game was amazing, only wish I had money to buy it to play it again.

    Moving and fighting through the city is fun as usual, Miles has even been given fresh animations. You always notice that you are controlling a different character than Peter.     And that's not the only difference between the two. Despite his age, Miles acts smarter and more mature than his mentor, so I liked him a lot more. The secondary characters are also written in a more interesting way and their motives are always understandable.
    Since the characters are all involved in the plot itself, the main story is consistently exciting and sometimes even emotionally touching.

    This makes the add-on a far better game than the original title.

    What was unfortunately taken over are the boring side quests. But hey, at least they've been linked to Miles' interests and we don't have to be teased by psychopathic streamers. We don't have to vaccinate pigeons and fish or sweep chimneys either. Fortunately, this embarrassment is left to Peter.    … Expand

    I loved this version of the original but it lacked in some story beats. The improvement to the game mechanics and swinging are awesome. Great way to introduce Miles.

    La jugabilidad es muy buena y el gameplay es muy divertido, sin embargo la duración del juego es excesivamente corta, me terminé el juego al 100% (coleccionables incluidos) en un día, cosa que le quita mucho, solo compraria este juego si te sobra el dinero o ves que está de rebajas.

    Insomniac done it again! Miles is such a great kid, always positive and committed to helping others. He is a lot like peter in that way. But they created an authentic character with his own thing. I really liked that he started as "spider-kid" seen by the people as a knockoff or a junior Spider-Man, sometimes they doubt him, but he really doesn't care about that, he just wants to helpInsomniac done it again!     A fantastic game which showcases the haptic feedback and the super ssd very well. This game didn’t feel like an add on but a game in its own right. The raytracing performance mode is sublime when swinging through New York.

    The 7 rating is here mostly for the gameplay and technical aspects of the game. The story is decent but not what it could've been. Very short and a little too simple for my liking. That being said, it is still an absolute blast to play.

    The game has amazing graphics. Solid 60fps throughout gameplay. Swinging around the city is fun. Cutscenes are very good. The characters are not generic white military dudes like every other game.
    The Bad The combat is a total Batman Arkham City ripoff. You just spam one button to win against enemies, which makes it boring. This style of combat got boring after my third    The Good

    It's a good game, but really nothing different from the original Spiderman. Same side missions, same combat except for the electric powers Miles gets. I believe this could've almost been a DLC. The campaign is really small. Not as satisfying as the Peter Parker version.
    It's a shame they didn't spend longer on the story. Feels like they took the "if it's not broken why fix it" attitude too far.

    Short and sweet. I'd recommend buying it once it's on sale. It's not the best Spiderman game, but it was pretty decent to showcase PS5 capabilities, and also let us visit the Big Apple in the wintertime.

    It feels awesome to traverse through NY quickly while dodging skyscrapers and to intervene in various crime scenes that occur randomly down in the streets.

    It’s a very good game but extremely short and filled with cutscenes. Playing it a second time for the platinum trophy while skipping cinematics was one of the shortest gaming experiences of my life. The story is okay, characters are okay but the gameplay is pretty great.

    Nice but short open world superhero game. The game downside is the main villain is very boring, not comparable with the villain from the first Spider-Man game. Voice of the voice actor is also very irritating, could have hired more suitable actor.

    I have never liked superhero games before but a friend convinced me to try spiderman remastered and oh man was it awesome. So you know I had to try this one. The only thing I would say I didn’t like was that it was a short game compared to the last spiderman game. Also the storyline from the movie and the game didn’t really line up. Must owned game though

    It’s great game, with good a good story. The fighting mechanics feel fun which feel authentic to miles morales character. There is enough to do other than the main missions! Overall pretty good

First off, any reviews you see complaining about "BLM," are undercover racists upset a black person is a main protagonist of a game. There is NONE of that in this game, and the fact is Black lives DO matter and Amber Guyger and the McMichaels can read this post from PRISON understanding that very fact, but thats beside the point. It was nice seeing SO many African Americans actors being shown for once in a video game. Of all the issues in this game, the color of his skin is NOT one of them.

    But the price is. As of 2/13/2022, it is still $50, but currently on sale for $29.99. $30 is STILL too much for this game. If you're not paying $20 or less your being swindled.

    Next is the addition of the supremely stupid "electric" powers. It still blows my mind this is supposed to be Spiderman, I thought i was playing as Electro. Instead of giving us Peter's powers and building upon them, with MORE web gadgets, instead they take almost EVERY gadget and perk useful from the first, and replaced it with filler garbage. if you're like me you'll be tired of all the moves by the end of this short game.

    Its indicative of the entire game. Shallow gameplay elements stretched wide as they could muster. You will electric punch EVERYTHING, because apparently thats the answer to everything Miles needs done in the city.

    The new enemy types are completely boring after no excitement beating them over their weaker counterparts in the original spiderman.

    And the worse part? the story. My God. Especially the end. SPOILER ALERT during the last hour of the game, Miles our super hero, begs, pleads, grovels, and makes pretty much every other weak play you can make towards our "super" villian who is a small female. Watching Miles get battered by this women fight after fight while saying stupid **** like "Please, we can stop this, the cities gona blow" is the stupidest crescendo I've seen to an end-game in quite some time. The story is so god-awful and corny, and boring, I was literally pissed at the end of the game, I couldnt believe what I had just played. How do you take the original game which is a CLASSIC and somehow ruin it? WHY do u take the original game and RUIN IT?

    The only reason this piece of crap game is still installed on my ps5 is web swinging is a revelation. Miles moves so cool through the air it fools you the rest of the game will be like that but it ISNT.

    Is miles faster than Peter? NO.

    Can Miles go higher than Peter? NO

    Do Miles have cooler moves? YES

    Also new Peter's face SUCKS but thats the smallest gripe of this game.

Better graphics more improvements in general( battle gadgets web moves acrobatics) new enemies and you got snow all around in New York. Perfect for a Christmas game. The only con is that the game is 8 hours and if you want the platinum +5 hours for collectibles.
