    The Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack was excellent!

    I, like so many others, really enjoyed the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack and have downloaded a lot of the songs. What I really loved about it was that they were great songs that were not that well known (or forgotten at this point, maybe) until GotG put them in the film. So what are some other songs with a similar style,    The Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack was excellent!

    What a pleasure to play in a lively environment, a perfectly mastered narration and really endearing characters, it's teeming with details, the humor is present without being heavy.

    The French dubs are excellent and a super quality soundtrack, too bad for headphone audio, the sound is a bit weak and the 3d sound is a bit average, even trying to fine-tune the audio settings.     The gameplay is simple but effective, graphics level, I love the artistic direction, it's very fluid on ps5, very few bugs.

    The dialogues between the characters reveal a lot of very interesting information about this universe and for the older ones, a lot of nods to the 80s and 90s.

    The very correct lifespan (finished in ~23h without rushing me, searching everywhere), the chapters follow one another well, we don't see the time passing.
    Difficulty level, the normal mode is really too simple, the difficult mode is recommended to put a little challenge.

    Not at all disappointed, it's a good big surprise for a game I wasn't expecting, it's really fun.    … Expand

    After the avengers game I wasn't expecting much from this game but it absolutely blew me away! There's no open world it is linear but this shows not everything has to be open world. The level design is great, the action is non stop and the dialogue is constantly either funny or heart warming. I actually enjoyed the story and the characters more than the movies. I completely wrote this game off, because Square (as it turns out) is the worst video game marketing company ever. A friend I trust told me to give it a try.     Very good game, nice history and dialogs. Pleasure to play a game without in game transactions... I know that the game has not much purchases and it is bad, because this game 200 times better than worst Marvel Avangers. I Hope developers understand that. 9/10 from me, just small problems with animations, another things in game are perfect.

    Words cannot describe what an amazing game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was. Square Enix really went all out on delivering an incredible journey I loved even more than Insomniac's Spider-Man. Telling an amazing and compelling story where all your choices matter, this game was just as much fun to watch as it was to play as I went on so many adventures with this lovable cast. While IWords cannot describe what an amazing game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was. Square Enix really went all out on delivering an incredible journey I loved even more than Insomniac's Spider-Man. Telling an amazing and compelling story where all your choices matter, this game was just as much fun to watch as it was to play as I went on so many adventures with this lovable cast. While I only 'liked' them after seeing their first movie in 2014, I 'LOVE' them after going on this journey with them in 2022. This game felt more like a sequel than the second movie did by really expanding on each Guardian and growing their characters, occasionally making me super emotional and always increading my love for each one of them. And while I dare not spoil the plot, I will say the journey this game takes you on comes with many twists and turns you never expect and always makes you excited to play more.

    Gameplay may be secondary to the story, but it definitely has no shortcomings. The combat is a blast, the world always charming to explore, and the music a constant intense and fantastic. Doing combos with your characters and leading your team into battle always feels so satisfying, and while you technically only control Star-Lord, you really do feel like you're always playing as a team. There are a good amount of glitches, and perhaps a crash here or there, but even so it's always easy to work around or catch yourself back up with each setback.

    Had I played this game last year, there's no doubt in my mind it would have made my Top 10 list for 2021. This game is a true masterpiece and a work of love and passion, and singlehandedly made me love the Guardians even more than I already did. I can't recommend this masterpiece enough and I hope more of my friends out there experience it. It really is flarking amazing.    … Expand

    I flarking love this game! Im on chapter 9 and I cant stop playing it because it gets better and better each new chapter. Beautiful graphics. Awesome game play. Entertaining story. Great 80s music! I would of gave it a 10 but I got stuck in multiple spots throughout the game where I had to restart my game to get unstuck because the traversal isn't that good, its not bad but I think itI flarking love this game!     8.2/10 for me, solid game. Well directed game with quirky humor, great story, decent combat and engaging world design + music. Definitely worth playing marvel fan or not.

    Gráficos excelentes, excelente dublagem, dialógos muito bem elaborados e história fascinantes. O jogo só deixa a desejar na jogabilidade , visto que são poucos comandos de ataque, o que torna um pouco repetitivo as vezes, mas é um jogo obrigatório para todo fã da Marvel.     Not even a huge fan of GOTG, but this is my game of the year and I think it's weirdly under rated. Huge mass effect 2 vibes, even though it's linear. If you're on the fence, it's that good.

    What a great game! Funny at times and truly an amazing story. This game is probably the only game I actually liked playing this whole year. The story just kept pulling me back in and the gameplay was really fun even tho just like everyone else says: I wish that you could control the rest of the guardians but that wasn't a huge deal to me after the first Chapter.     Worth playing. I've read a lot of reviews about this and finally decided to give it a try since it was on PSPlus. The story is fun and it's a nice kind of origin story to a version of the Guardians. I never read the comics but I did enjoy this take on their backstory. I'm not sure what difference in game decisions make as I played through it once but I'd play it again if there were someWorth playing.     The voice acting is really good and I really enjoy how they made the characters different from the movie but better. They finally did Mantis justice too. I actually really liked all of the characters in this one, I feel like they got it right. The interactions and conversations are entertaining and learning more about things is optional.

    The gameplay is decently good. I like some of the mechanics but there are some gripes about controls and jumping mechanics. I missed a lot of gaps and holes because of some weird bugs where I got to the next ledge but somehow instead of grabbing the ledge the character fell down a pit anyway. I've been trapped between objects, stuck on objects, or otherwise character locked so I had to reload from the checkpoint. I've had my team just stand there and do nothing for parts of a fight. That one was rare. There were also audio bugs where I saw subtitles but no audio at all. There was an entire section of the game where Groot just didn't have audio.

    I enjoyed the story and making selections on how to handle things. I'd replay to see what difference it makes but I have other things to play. The costumes and collectibles are neat but nothing I care about. The upgrades seem a little limited, I really expected more upgrades but you can get everything pretty quickly in the game.

    Overall I liked it. I enjoyed playing through it. Wasn't too long but about what I expected. It's mostly on rails, still has a few issues a year in and little annoyances but I thought it was better than the movies.    … Expand

    I’m surprised by how good this game is. The performances are top notch. At no point did I feel like comparing the characters to the movie and I’m in love with all the characters all over again. Great work by the devs.

    Fun, straightforward single-player adventure shooter. Emphasis on story and characters. Combat is simple but effective. At some point, it starts to feel like the game repeats itself, but overall it doesn't overstay its welcome. There are some minor bugs too, nothing game-breaking. Performance mode is disappointing so I ended up playing with quality mode as it looks considerably better.

    The gameplay is so super smooth and the actual game looks stunning.

    Theres such a wide variety of enemies and the game let's you tune the difficulty to suit your liking.

    The music is just absolutely amazing. Some amazing hits and classics. There's this thing called a huddle and after doing this correctly the classic hits start playing and it just makes you wish it never stopped. The story is very well made and progresses nicely with some moments being more emotional then others.

    Honestly this is a just buy for anyone who loves the Guardians of the galaxy but also people who just want to have fun.

    The start is a little slow but once it gets started it doesn't slow down the combat is very nice and diverse due to the team mechanics and honestly I never have gotten bored of fighting.

    10/10 I hope they make another one. Well done Square Enix.    … Expand

    I genuinely enjoyed the game. The humor was good, the writing and story was enjoyable, and overall, I had a good time. However, the gameplay was often a bit too simplistic more my liking. I would recommend this game to people looking for a fun, easy, game with a good story, but more hardcore gamers may feel a bit disappointed with it.

    Fantastic story, and fun game which merits an 8. The reasons for not giving 9 or 10 are combat is a bit clunky. I had a few graphical issues clipping and pop in. Upgrading was too easy I had about 2k components at the end and nothing to spend on as I'd already bought all perks.

    Guardians of the Galaxy has an excellent story with strong character development accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack. The narrative is moving and filled with a masterful blend of seriousness and humor. There are several laugh out loud moments and several tear jerker moments. The combat is fun and plays smoothly. Overall, this exceeded expectations and is one of the best new titles of 2021.

    Absolutely a great game and definitely true to the spirit of the movies. If your a guardians fan this game is most certainly for you!! The gameplay can be a little taxing at times but only because quills weapons seem underwhelming for most of the game. The story offsets that with no problem. It was a journey worth taking and a story worth hearing .

    Surprisingly good! I could nitpick this to death, but a straightforward, single-player story with combat that is fun enough to stay engaging is a nice find nowadays. This 80s kid rocked hard to every beat and was reminded exactly why I play video games.

    A fun, lighthearted and warm title. The plot is more complex than it might seem at first. Very cool characters, very well acted, written and designed.
    Gameplay is a bit repetitive, but enjoyable. Overall, the game design, world building and concepts are stunning. The environment design in this game is amazing. One of the best contemporary sci-fi games. Recommended.

    Above and beyond expectations. Didn’t pick it up when I saw it wasn’t Chris Pratt. Thought it was a knockoff money grab. I was wrong! Great gameplay, story, sound, voice acting, visuals and everything. Couldn’t put it down once I started.

    This game is really good! The story is great and you just can't stop laughing at all the interactions the Guardians do all along the way. However, this game lacks of difficulty challenge and the gameplay can get a little boring cause of it's lack of depht. I hope we get a sequel with a better gameplay!

    So let's keep it simple: - Brilliant story. Twists and turns, logical progression, reasons behind actions, etc. It's an original story so some of the    I went in with at best "meh" expectations. I was completely and utterly sucked in after like at most 2 hours. I could easily write a 2000 words essay about how amazing they got everything, but few would be interested in that anyway.

    So let's keep it simple:

    - Brilliant story. Twists and turns, logical progression, reasons behind actions, etc. It's an original story so some of the Guardians have a bit different backgrounds, but it fits in very well. There are no disrespectful changes. I personally would have preferred one element to be different, but that doesn't mean that the story isn't spectacular.
    - AMAZING characters (both design and personality) and voice acting.
    - Superb graphics, animations and art direction.
    - Huge variety of environments, all of them awesome quality.
    - Splendid combat that integrates all Guardians into the fray majestically.
    - Very surprisingly, choices! You have some RPG elements thrown in there.
    - Collectables (outfits + gifts for your team which translate into conversations aboard the ship)
    - Ship combat, and it's highly enjoyable. You can also walk around your ship and speak with the Guardians.
    - BANTER! Excellent, remarkable, funny, character-appropriate banter. And LOTS of it too. FLARK YES!
    - Mature-oriented segments when it fits the narrative, without making it broody, moody or edgy. A perfect mix of humour and "real-talk".
    - A focus on each Guardian in particular. Groot is a bit sidelined but I guess there's not so much opportunity for character development there.Still, he plays an important role and I never considered him an afterthought.
    - Marvelous music.
    - It personally filled me with a childlike joy all the way through. Very immersive.
    - Sometimes it's BUGGY, but checkpoint reload solved it in 99% of cases. I only encountered one bug I would classify as major, but it was not game breaking. It involved a conversation with Drax about a gift I got him. Peter would just get stuck in place and nothing would proceed after the conversation. Nothing I did solved this. After reload, the bug would just happen at the beginning of the conversation. POTENTIAL FIX: only talk to Drax about it AFTER chapter 11. You can't do anything to solve this bug if you have that conversation before chapter 11, but it also doesn't affect anything else.

    I could go on and on but honestly, for this one, there's no point. I've been gaming for 20 years and this is EASILY a 10/10. If you love the Guardians, Marvel, action-adventure games, or any mix of those, just get this one.

    You'll thank yourself later as you're screeching with excitement and pure joy while you experience this game.

    I for one got this game on a pretty nice sale and I'm actually a bit sad I didn't give these developers more money.    … Expand

    Gamplay-wise it's about a 7 game, pretty basic and easy, bug story and dialog! Oh boy! 10/10! Loved it!!! Better than some of Marvel's movies!

    After the Avangers game and Spider man: Miles Morales my expectations were... to say they were low would be a immense understatement. Since I am a big fan of the GOTG movies I still gave it a try. And I am really amazed. They absolutely captured the chaotic and crazy humor and atmosphere of the movies.     An epic adventure and one of the rare beacons of single-player games in all the puddle of **** online games. You will spend awesome 20-25 hours on very good and funny dialogs, cool story and soundtrack. I am loving this game. Though, personally, the "fighting gameplay" is not that interesting.

It does not match the movie setting but this is no big deal, it tells its own story (Gamora still looks good ;)great game!     Fighting is amazing, visuals are awesome, gameplay is stellar. Combos are dope as well as the easy battle system. Was very surprised this would be a good game. However Disney continues to pander to the female antagonists and don’t ever use men anymore. Seems sexist.

    Probably the current game of the year! I had an absolute blast playing this game. It's essentially like playing through a guardians of the Galaxy Movie. One of the funniest games I played and some awesome voice acting.

    there was nothing for the game. but the amazing dialogs, good gameplay and plot made me forget about the technical problems (potentially the game had its release well in advance). no doubt it would be a potential goty winner if it weren't for that.

    Pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this game. The characters were very well written. All the actors did an exceptional job. Had some really awesome locations with really good level design. Some of my favorite parts were just chilling on the Milano listening to all the interactions. And for the love of God, keep the fridge closed!

    The gameplay is also very good.
    If this game was built by rockstar or naughty dog it definitely would have been the game of the year.

    Combat is challenging enough where it’s not boring and the story is incredible. Really awesome experience. This was my first game on PS5. All the characters have similar personalities from the movie characters but are different enough to where it doesn’t feel copied.

    After Avengers game i lost hope on this one and i didn't buy it because i felt it would be the same , and now after a year i finally got it and i have to say this is flarkin' amazing.everything about this game is great!! Story, voice acting , gameplay. You'll never get bored at all. It's a super fun single player game that you have to try!

    Guardians of Galaxy are the real blast that Marvel fans needed after more than mediocre Avengers. The “worst” part of the game is a mere fact, that you are not able to enjoy every single comment in the background and enjoy very well written characters.

    The story is entertaining, and it features characters from the Marvel universe that haven't yet surfaced in the movies, such as Fin Fang Foom, Lady Hellbender and the Nova Corps. Add in the requisite humor and self-deprecation and an eclectic killer soundtrack, and you get one of the most enjoyable games of the year.
