    One of the best games of this year is finally here and is incredible, the story is cativating, thr lore expand once more and the mechanics gets a new ways to play for me the who plays in a ps4 buy it in 2017 the performance is incredible and amazing, its just a feel bugs but the occur reallllly rarely but i know in the next weeks Guerilla will fix it, congratiolations sony, you did once more

    I have been so eager for return to the world of Horizon during the last 5 years because I was really amazed with the first installment. AND THE WAIT HAS BEEN WORTH IT! This was a game that marked me for its narrative, its beautiful artwork and its message. With Forbidden West all this things has been enhanced and I am completely blown away. I am really shocked by the detail of theI have been so eager for return to the world of Horizon during the last 5 years because I was really amazed with the first installment. With Forbidden West all this things has been enhanced and I am completely blown away. I am really shocked by the detail of the characters from the smallest things to the most notorious. The story is a masterpiece of video game sci-fi that makes me fall in love. And I'm a super-fan of this genre who has explored countless classics. Possibly many connoisseurs of science and technology things understand it when they go deep into its lore and world which is perfectly based. If the story seems boring to some it is simply because they do not pay the necessary attention or they are people who complex things are not for them. These days I have become completely addicted to the game until I completed it 100%. Coffee is cheap and an incredible adventure calls!… Expand

    The game is really great! What we saw at the girst gameplay and at the first trailer had a great upgrade in the final game. The accessibility added a lot of great thing. The combat had a great upgrade from the first game, and the story like always has a great impact.

    Buggy as hell. This game is not even finished, 80$ for this trash? I feel I got ripped. Fog everywhere, popping, secondary characters not well polished and there's a long etcetera of things that are broken. Not recommended,

    The art in this Game is remarkable, from graphics, to sound, to acting, history and gameplay, it's the perfect game for me, and the collector's edition is awesome despite not including the disc, it was worth every Penny.

The characters, the machines, the world, everything is absolutely beautiful and every design is made with a lot of love, from the first game it was something that Guerrilla focused a lot on for this IP. But, in many ways it looks no better than Ghost of Tsushima released on the PS4 2 years ago. Visually it is nice, frame rates are good. Colors    This is a very disappointing and mediocre game that I don't understand why it is reviewing so well by the journalists.

    Graphics/Visuals
    Yes, it mostly looks good, but it is on par with what I would expect from a "next gen" game released in 2022. But, in many ways it looks no better than Ghost of Tsushima released on the PS4 2 years ago. Visually it is nice, frame rates are good. Colors are vibrant. View distances are nice. But nothing spectacular.

    Audio
    Boring. All I can say is almost all of the music so far is one word: Boring. I won't say anything more.

    Game Play
    Game play is the strong point. I can roam around sneaking up and killing things all day long. You have a full feature of weapons and armor to experiment. But so far, I am not really seeing anything new from Horizon Zero Dawn in any meaningful way. Not bad, because they did a great job in that game, but nothing new to speak of here. You also have the same platforming aspect of the game, but Forbidden West is incredibly easy. Too easy. Basically, just look for the color yellow and hit your controller. It is brain dead easy. Don't see anything? Just scan and you are instantly in easy mode. I don't find any challenge in this at all.

    Story
    I am 10 hours into this game and I could care less about this world. I don't really know what is going on and don't care to figure it out. I had expected a story hook to grab me within the first hour, but much of the first few hours is running into characters from Zero Dawn that I didn't care a whole lot about, and in some way they made them even less interesting in Forbidden West. Travis Tate makes a cameo, which is awesome. And Sylens is introduced early. But so far I find gathering Ridge-Wood more interesting than talking to anyone. Of course, both these games are Feminist wet dreams. That's OK; I rather enjoyed Zero Dawn a lot. But in this game, I feel like I am being beaten over the head with it.

    Art & Style
    This is where this game simply falls apart. A lot was said in the previews about the uglification of Aloy. Seeing the actual game, there is a little bit of it (why does she have huge chipmunk cheeks?) but overall I think Aloy is a rather adorable ginger, and I like her personality. But things end there. Literally every single character and NPC in this game is fat and ugly. Every single one. I feel like I am at the State fair instead of a post-apolopytic wasteland. And somehow, 90% of all the laborers are women? How does that happen? Did all the men die or something? Obviously there is an agenda. The designs of the clothings and architecture is kinda nice. It is what you would expect if you played Zero Dawn. The landscapes are OK. Nice really, but it is just what I expected, and nothing more. And the voice acting... wow is it cringy. Horrible. Again, Aloy is OK, I do like her. But every NPC is maximum cringe. And the facial movements and body language.. I usually look away from the screen when they talk.

    Collector's Edition
    I am playing the Regalia Edition. There is supposed to be DLC gear. It is all junk. The figures are OK. The large one is not the best that I've collected. I do like the Aloy mini though. There are some other accoutrements that are OK. Overall, I should have just stuck with the Launch Edition game (actually, I should have waited for the "GOTY" edition in the future).

    Conclusion
    I can not recommend this game. If you enjoyed Zero Dawn, are not bothered by all the horrible style choices made, and you are dying to play this game, then I would recommend waiting for the inevitable GOTY edition (or whatever they will call it) with the inevitable DLC that will be released. And even then, it may be wise not to pre-order it, wait for the cost to dip (or wait for it to be a Playstation Greatest Hits).    … Expand

The lowest rating I could see this game fairly getting from a subjective review is a 7 maybe 6. Anything else lower in these user reviews is completely bogus and should be deleted. This game is easily one of the best if not the best open world game ever made. So beautiful, so much to do. Ironically one of the only downsides I can think of is how overwhelming everything is. There is so much to do and learn that you might stress out over where to start. At every level it is a better and deeper game than horizon zero dawn was. If that game deserves an 8.4 user score, this one deserves an 8.9 or higher. I just left the daunt which is technically the secondary tutorial section and I’ve played for over a dozen hours. There’s just so much to explore and do. The tower climbing side tasks are better off left for when you get a flying mount though.. those can be a bit DAUNTing and monotonous if not for the gorgeous scenery. There’s also a lot of settings that fix many of the superficial or ridiculous issues some reviewers are bringing up. This is one of those game you’ll think about playing all day until you can get back on it, don’t miss out.… Expand

For a 2022 “next gen” game the fact that this game makes you sacrifice resolution for frame rate or vice versa is utterly laughable. Moving on, the story itself is boring with a lot of plot holes and the game leaves me with more questions rather than answers. The open world aspect is cool but when compared to its counterparts it still lacks in comparison. The visuals look stunning I’ll be it in 1800p. While the story, dialogue and open world are rather lack luster the one thing that forbidden west has going for it is it’s jaw dropping visuals. However, the fact that you can’t run this game at 4k 60fps….is a disappointment.… Expand

    I normally don’t review games but figured I should because of the review bombing. If you’re a fan of the first game you’ll love this one. They improved on just about everything which is insane because HZD was a masterpiece in my opinion.

    Game is great. Haven't had this much fun in years. I was a fan of the first game. This one is so much better in every way. Still have to finish it to talk about the story but everything else is a 10. Loving every minute of it. I'm 20 hours in already

    Esto es todo lo que Sony tiene?     I wanted to feel the same excitement for this game as I did for the first one, but unfortunately this game is below mediocre. Its an unfinished mess full of bugs, a bad story, bland characters and wtf is going on with Aloy's face? seriously?, the game is terrible don't waste your money on this.

In fact I have take some vacations from my work to enjoy this game at 100% because with the 1st part I didn't want to stop playing to still discovering it's world. Forbidden West is great sequel from that wonderful travel started on 2017. I really love the story mix of sci-fi and reality. Since Zero Dawn I was surprised for the wellHorizon Forbidden West is absolutely incredible. Possibly the game will be one day a prophetic reference material. Aloy is a wonderful character, the gameplay is fun and mostly the game is really, really, REALLY beautiful in PS5.     After playing for 15 hours (at least that's what the game says) its has been a great journey, not fast paced nor slow paced even tho you might need to do sides to fill your level (happen to me twice cuz I was just doing main quest and tbh only 1 lvl diff. so no big deal).

    Lore and Plot are bit messy to understand if you do not play the first game, if you did play the 1st game you will have a great time reading and listing to the lore points as it will fill many things the 1st one left open.
    Crafting, Weapons, the Enemies, skills, fighting are a great upgrade from the 1st game nothing much to say here.

    for me as technical achievement? its a 8/10 but that rating matters nothing to me, what matters is the fun the game brings and to me, it bring a lot, its a 10/10 game to me as for fun and i really hope to see more of this coming from Guerrilla and Sony!    … Expand

Only other games as good as this one are God of War and The Witcher 3, and it’s dlc. Nothing else touches this game. Way better than the original, which I lovedddd but was very flawed in my opinion. They redid a model for Rost from the last game…in the main menu, not a spoiler, and he looks like a totally different person just because the graphics are so much more realistic he looks like he could actually be a real person now. Way more so than before. It’s really put into perspective how much the graphics have improved. Melee is way way better. Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback on ps5 are a nice touch and not as gimmicky as I thought originally. Really adds immersion. I’m 31 and female and I’m so glad I got back into gaming a few years back to enjoy titles like this and God of War.… Expand

    Having only explored the first part of the game and finally going west. The game offers so much with the fighting pit, different enemy's, and the side quests with a wide variety. I can tell I will already play this game to completion.

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

    Horizon Forbidden West is Guerrilla's best game to date, taking Aloy to new heights with a blockbuster release that meets the high standards set by PlayStation in recent years. While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
