    Wonderful game if you don't encounter any game breaking bugs. The game is riddled with glitches from simply clipping through the ground to main story quests being incompletable.

    I've been stuck in the game for 45 days due to a bug where an NPC will not prompt me to continue a main quest, essentially halting my progress and not allowing me to complete the game. This is after 19 hours of    Wonderful game if you don't encounter any game breaking bugs. The game is riddled with glitches from simply clipping through the ground to main story quests being incompletable.

    I've been stuck in the game for 45 days due to a bug where an NPC will not prompt me to continue a main quest, essentially halting my progress and not allowing me to complete the game. This is after 19 hours of progress.

    I enjoyed my 19 hours, but I don't think I'll ever restart a new game in order to finish the game as my time is precious and I'm worried I'll get stuck against my will again. Oh well, onto games that don't have game breaking bugs everywhere.

    Hogwarts legacy isn't great but it isn't terrible just a average game runs bad a pc the game starts out good then just starts to get boring i couldn't tell you how many times this game put me to sleep it was a struggle to finish it
    i do not understand why everyone loves the game so much
    you do the same thing over and over and over and over
    its a Ubisoft open world type game that is boring

    This game has good customization and the world of Hogwarts is a very interesting world to explore. The combat system is decent but lacks depth. Just imagine how biblical this game would be with Team Deathmatch, but the developers were too cheap and lazy to add multiplayer. There is a lack of enemy variety. You'd think we get a variety of monsters to beat up knowing the Harry Potter world,This game has good customization and the world of Hogwarts is a very interesting world to explore. The combat system is decent but lacks depth. Just imagine how biblical this game would be with Team Deathmatch, but the developers were too cheap and lazy to add multiplayer. There is a lack of enemy variety. You'd think we get a variety of monsters to beat up knowing the Harry Potter world, but it's just spiders after freaking spiders. The physics are complete garbage. I had a giant monster ram towards me, and it barely sent me flying 2 feet. Even a golf cart can push me much further than that. The greedy developers are joining the trend of charging an extra $10 to PS5 owners for absolutely no reason. $70 and the facial animations look identical to Life is Strange 1 during dialogue. That's embarrassing and pathetic.

    The story is terrible. The side quests are awful. Not even an hour into the game, and the lazy developers were already making excuses for lack of Quidditch. You expect me to believe that safety was more of a priority in 1890s than 1990s? No, tell them the real reason why Quidditch is missing. It's because the developers were too greedy and lazy for that. The missions are boring and repetitive. For a game full of magic, there is nothing to do in the open world. The soundtrack in this game is inferior to the Harry Potter films, not to mention that half of the soundtrack sounds like it was taken straight from a National Geographic documentary. This game suffers from technical issues. $70 PS5 game and there is buffering when opening doors. There are lighting issues. The flying controls for the broomstick are horrible.

    As I mentioned earlier, there's no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, this game will go back to the shelf and collect dust. Charging $70 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. I should be guaranteed online multiplayer at that outrageous price. Despite the anti-SJWs cheerleading for this game, it's woke trash. I'll give you one example: UK Hogwarts had way more diversity in the 1890s than it did in the 1990s. Sure, this game triggered SJWs but that doesn't make it anti-woke. I'm sick to death of anti-SJWs turning a blind eye to blatant wokeness in games, just because the internet loves it. They denied the obvious wokeness in DS Remake and GOWR too. Yet, they were quick to call Saints Row and GTA 6 woke. You can't just cherry pick what's woke, based on what grudges you hold or games you enjoy. Literally every AAA game studio has made it very clear in 2020 that they've gone woke. If that's not clear enough, just wait how woke they'll become next year. You're giving SJW developers what they want by ignoring the wokeness. I would recommend this game until it is around $15-$20.

    P.S. Metacritic, your moderators are lurking on my profile once again. I have all the receipts of my games in purchase date order and I know these mods are toy-collecting millennials thinking they're special for not liking COD and sports games, so it's pretty easy to know which reviews they're deleting. You think you can stealthily remove a review? Think again. I originally gave this a 3, but then I gave it a 1 when I noticed the day 1 patch was mandatory with internet. Might as well give it a 0 now as the redeeming qualities aren't enough to justify the internet requirement. I removed the paragraph about the woke mob, happy now?     Great Hogwarts simulator but other than that it has a big wasted potential on its plot and classes. The one who are responsible of this game should've checked out the parts of class simulations in Bully.

    What starts as an interesting experience is quickly replaced by boredom and monotony. Couldn't push myself to finish, it's just a lot of uninspired quests and lackluster combat with mediocre puzzles.

    Even the setting doesn't cut it for me.

Glitches and bugs galore. Just bad, overall.

    Conclusion: A proper open-world RPG, you would think, would be games such as The Witcher 3, Elder Scrolls, etc...this one, ain't it. As a trophy hunter, I like to enjoy the games that I plat, but this one is slog. Wait for a deep sale if you intend to purchase this game.    … Expand

    I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. Having watched the main HP movies, I thought this was a great time. If you have not seen them or read the books, you may not like it.

Boring side quests, repetitive fighting, shallow lore, poor interface to ps5, you will get tired with the gameplay. But the worst thing was you only can see the final credits if you get some level. The game is so easy to finish in low level, but they want to make you play more this **** just to see the final.… Expand

    Hogwarts Legacy seems at first like a dream come true. Beautiful World with a lot of love for details. Yo will encounter a lot of things you know from the movies an the books. But unfortunately, this is everything this game hast to offer.

    It is a short game for an open world (took me 44hrs for Platinum) and very easy, even on the highest difficulty I never faced a challenging foe. The    Hogwarts Legacy seems at first like a dream come true. Beautiful World with a lot of love for details. Yo will encounter a lot of things you know from the movies an the books. But unfortunately, this is everything this game hast to offer.

    It is a short game for an open world (took me 44hrs for Platinum) and very easy, even on the highest difficulty I never faced a challenging foe. The last boss fight was won by hitting "RB+LB" 5 times in a row...

    I guess it is a nice tribute to fans, but a game with formula we now from Ubisoft and got bored by 10 years ago.    … Expand

    - Jeu trop facile (même en mode difficile). C'est réellement un jeu pour initier des enfants au RPG.
    - Les dialogues sont enfantins.
    - Trop de loot, donc pas d'effets de rareté ni de challenge
    - les textures et le graphisme de manière globale

    Also 1 point because i believe if you are genetically obese you cannot be thin. My weight is not your costume. Dont live the life of your dreams, waste your short years appeasing the delusion of a mentally ill near eastern charlatan who identifies as the hebrew fairy tale character yahweh.

    The first two hours of the game are about an 9/10 with the first boss fight Unfortunately, the next 28 hours there's basically no boss fights, no build up, just you doing random chores over and over to get spells.

    It feels like the devs made the first couple of hours amazing to draw you in, then the rest is just unfinished.     The classes aren't so bad if they broke it up with some action, but this game has waaaay too much dialogue without action. I had to Google the last boss which looks good because I cannot continue to do the same task for so many more hours to get there.

    There's are so many opportunity to introduce interesting fights in the game but the devs just end it with no action. Horrible.

    Combat is decent but kinda slow, problem is you never get to use it. The open world has basically 2 enemies. Some dog thing that dies instantly from any spell and the soldier guys. I vendored all my gear that I found to try to get the spells because the game wants me to do annoying tasks to get the spells. You don't need the gear because you can kill the enemies 10 lvls above you.

    Mid game is VERY slow and actionless. Just dialogue, dialogue, dialogue... And from side characters.    … Expand

    I quit the game after about 30 hours. I wasn't interested in the story. I didn't get attached to the characters because they were all ugly. The action was monotonous and boring. I didn't like the design of the animals and didn't enjoy raising them. The game never froze, but there was always a sense of insecurity in the action, such as getting stuck when there were obstacles.

    A slow starting game but once it gets going it hooks you in. However it has a game braking bug where progress is not saved and I'm unable to finish the game. I just lost 5 hours of progress and lost will to play anymore... Shame.... I'm playing on ps5... Shame... Would have been a 9...

    Hogwarts Legacy has a great character design and could have had a great story too but the story is not so strong. the gameplay feels great and exploration is so entertaining. visually its great and Hogwarts castle is so detailed.

    Hogwarts Legacy is definitely a beautiful-looking game that doesn't have a groundbreaking story, but does have a beautiful world, a fun combat system, broomstick flying, and of course an incredible amount of side quests and missions. [Issue#325]

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
