    Good-
Well written characters with compelling voicework; interesting atmosphere; mechanics are simple but enjoyable enough for the short runtime
Bad- The story isn't fleshed out; the level design can be pretty linear which makes puzzles really easy; combat mechanics don't have a ton of depth Thoughts- Despite its many shortcomings, GYLT is a passable adventure that managed to

    Thoughts-
Despite its many shortcomings, GYLT is a passable adventure that managed to retain my interest for the entirety of its campaign. Sure, the mechanics aren’t anything new or particularly innovative – but they serve their purposes for the relatively short runtime of around six hours. The story also has an interesting premise, but it falters in the face of a barebones structure and poor pacing. GYLT might be worth a try if you find any of this interesting, but it’s totally passable if you aren’t particularly piqued by anything that’s on offer.

Gylt is a mechanically simple game with some awesome horror atmosphere. The atmospheric music, thr mesh of cartoon/realistic visuals and school/town setting really sets this game apart from other horror games giving it a unique feel. Despite the game suffering from uninteresting boss fights, it still manages to stand out above the rest. I highly recommend this game

While the game has some clunky voice acting and an ok script it's really charming in its own way. It definitely immerses you into the environment over time and the art style/graphics look amazing.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where do I begin with this game? Maybe I should point fingers at the trailer for stressing its horror elements. At the core of this game - it is about 1) finding your cousin and 2) finding out why she went missing in the first place.

To me, it's an either-or type of game. Either you wanted a mindless horror game with monsters or you delve a bit deeper into the emotional core of the title. Maybe it's my age, but I chose to focus on the latter. If you choose to not read any "books" this game is kind of mindless. You have no idea why your (spoilers) cousin chooses to run from you every chance she gets or again why.

Graphics... I'm fine with them (cute, adorable - nice animations, etc). The game itself isn't too long. I just don't like how they did the story. You're essentially running after this kid and unless you read everything - you don't know why.

Trophies... not too bad. Only one collectible you'll probably have to look up, it's in a really stupid place - that for most will be impossible to find without a guide. I enjoyed it for the most part.

With mature themes in a narrative that has evolved alongside the gameplay, Gylt tells an engaging story and may surprise those who judge a book by its cover.

GYLT offers an emotional insight into the impact bullying can have on a child using thought provoking art to convey concepts of loneliness, anger and paranoia. This well crafted story links well with the simple gameplay mechanics, with an artstyle that fits the creepy atmosphere created through the soundtrack. All of this and an environment which urges you to explore in spite of the sparse selection of meaningful items to be found, GYLT is perfect for a horror fan looking for a more mellow game, and would work well as a first-time spooky experience.

Gylt hits PC, PlayStation and Xbox after its exclusivity with Stadia to bring its light and enjoyable survival horror proposal to a wider audience. A simple, convincing audiovisual experience that hides a deep social message.
