    Apart from the love to these games i totally hate Take Two for making my child hood memories ruined, the game has 20 year old bugs that i think are important and should be patched after 20 years… just disappointed really im totally not going to spend 55£ on this game, maybe when its going to be on a steam sale or something but at this point i just dont care anymore… sad but true

    Grand Theft Auto III is still a great game when played on PS2. It was revolutionary for it’s open world, themes, and variety of game play styles. My review is of the “remastering” not the original content. After spending 20+ hours with this “remaster” of GTA III, I had to accept it’s failure to give me anything I’d consider an improvement beyond adding a weapon/radio wheel. Yes, theyGrand Theft Auto III is still a great game when played on PS2. It was revolutionary for it’s open world, themes, and variety of game play styles. My review is of the “remastering” not the original content. After spending 20+ hours with this “remaster” of GTA III, I had to accept it’s failure to give me anything I’d consider an improvement beyond adding a weapon/radio wheel. Yes, they softened the textures, upresed everything, redid the lighting, and expanded the field of view. All these changes have done is highlight the age and jank of these games. Vice City and San Andreas are more of the same, but to a lesser extreme as they were originally a bit less jankey. These are the worst remasters of games that are begging to be remade I have ever played.… Expand

    Quando algo é ruim não tem como passar pano. Sem dúvidas o pior Remaster lançado até hoje. E ainda tem crítico passando pano por algo que não está bem feito e ainda sendo o remaster mais caro, cobrando o preço de um jogo lançamento Triplo A. Só recebendo o jogo de graça pra aplicar uma nota diferente de 0

    Got the games on both PS5 and Switch. On switch I actually didnt run into any issues other than lag and ugly textures, however the game on PS5 is completely unplayable.

    Horrible port. The game has crashed 6 times on me already, the graphics are terrible, even worse than the original version. There is no communication from Rockstar to address all the issues. Stay away from this game!!

    A remaster? this is the remaster we got? sure the new stuff like wheels for radio and weapon, gta 5 like control schemes etc, but the models look like play doh almost, and the bugs? So many, like cars going at mach 100 and smashing you, sections of the map you can fall through, its all in this game

    Demasiado rastrero la eliminación masiva de mods hacia juegos de 2 décadas atrás y ocultar la opción de compra de los juegos clásicos (o ports anteriores al remaster) con la intención de que la única opción de compra sea esta bazofia, la trilogía con mods hechos de apuro y encima con eliminación de contenido (canciones). Lo único rescatable es la mejora del HUB, que por cierto, copiada yDemasiado rastrero la eliminación masiva de mods hacia juegos de 2 décadas atrás y ocultar la opción de compra de los juegos clásicos (o ports anteriores al remaster) con la intención de que la única opción de compra sea esta bazofia, la trilogía con mods hechos de apuro y encima con eliminación de contenido (canciones). Lo único rescatable es la mejora del HUB, que por cierto, copiada y pegada al estilo GTA San Andreas en las demás opciones, haciéndoles perder un poco de identidad.     Made the mistake of buying this game on the switch and that's something I don't recommend anyone else does, at least until it gets some patches.     So, the publisher removed the old versions from sale for a product which is buggier, more expensive, and worse in almost every single way other than the already-dated graphics. Rockstar made so much money from their other product that this should be free. They haven't done anything in nearly a decade and this is what they cobbled together in a week I guess.

    To be honest, I don't think minimal graphical improvements are the reason for overpricing the trilogy so much. It is very expensive, there are a lot of bugs and flaws in games from 20 years ago. Nintendo, this applies to you too.

    I'm here after watching a 1 hour (one hour) bugs compilation on YouTube, WOW! I'm impressed with the quality of this product. I'm happy I'm old now so will not be able to play this, not like I would want to. Well-deserved overwhelming dislike.

    This is easily the worst remaster of any game ever made. The aesthetics of the game are completely ruined. The only game that has actually improved visuals is Vice City. GTA III has lost the dreary oppressive visuals it was praised for when originally released. GTA SA has lost its California feel and look. By stripping out the fog and the orange lighting from SA, and stripping out theThis is easily the worst remaster of any game ever made. The aesthetics of the game are completely ruined. GTA SA has lost its California feel and look. By stripping out the fog and the orange lighting from SA, and stripping out the trash on the street and the blueish gray tint from GTA III. The games all look unison. You could show footage from all three games and it would look like the same game. Vice City maintains it aesthetic due to the improved lighting, the city really pops at night with all the neon lights. Now lets get into the visual bugs. Some characters look like Patrick Star from Spongebob. Some characters have no neck. Just shoulders and torso that stretches up to reach their head. Most of the characters look like they were made of clay. Some textures were completely botched when upscaled. The streets have no texture, they look like grey clay. The grass texture looks like it was pulled from a Unity asset flip. Some clothes were utterly destroyed and look downright awful. The billboards and signs in the game are littered with spelling mistakes, I'd assume from A.I upscaling. They is actually a part in Vice City where the walls surrounding some ocean water have the textures of a person face on them instead of their intended textures. And finally, the rain, oh my god the rain. The rain looks like its just an overlay on top of the game, and its so intense that you literally cannot see because of it. Players are actually reporting headaches and eye strain from trying to see while driving in the rain. Also the rain for some reason does not appear over water, it travels through roofs, and it also moves with the screen to a degree. I believe this is proof that the rain is a screen overlay and not actually appearing in the world itself. Now lets move on to the launch of the game, when launched, Rockstar almost instantly shut the Rock Star launcher down, making all of their games unplayable until it went back up. Once it went back up, the Definitive Edition trilogy was nowhere to be found. This was because the wrong version of the game was shipped by mistake. I'm unsure how a mistake like this was made, but I could look past it if it was fixed quickly rather than taking days. For all of these mistakes to come from a studio that has made millions off of GTA Online and Red Dead Online, this is downright depressing. Lastly, the games are built off the mobile phone ports rather than the original releases, meaning all the bugs in the original release, and added bugs from the mobile port, are still present in the game, Nearly a decade after the mobile port, and nearly 2 decades from the original release. The soundtrack missing half the songs is excusable, despite being painful, but the audio quality is not excusable, its downright atrocious. The dialogue sounds like it was recorded from two tin cans connected end on end. Id like to end this off by stating Take-Two Interactive, Rock Stars parent company, has removed the original trilogy, and is filing law suits and DMCA takedowns against modders that made massive visual improvements to the original trilogy. This may be due to Rock Star fearing people would be more tempted to play those visually improved editions rather than their "Definitive" edition. The modding community is what kept these games alive and kept selling copies, and now Take-Two sets their crosshairs on them so they can push their visually inferior versions of the games. This is a disaster that makes Cyberpunk 2077's launch look likes the golden standard. Remember Rock Star mocked CD Projekt Red for their disastrous launch, and then pulled an even worse launch not even a year later.… Expand

    Too many bugs. I came from a time where you could get a demo disc in a shop. These days it'd be a great incentive to let people play an open beta so they can get all of this data to fix what's needed to be fixed.

    I have every GTA title and this is the worst one by far.

    Before the game came out, I uploaded a fake remake of GTA Vice City, the graphics were better, this applies to other games, I do them with mods

    Jeu full bug simplifié à l'extrême sencuré et un rework graphique totalement raté... Pour ma part je continuerais à sortir la ps2 pour les faire et refaire merci le game pass de m'avoir évité cette arnaque

    The game has potential but in it’s current state, it is a hard game to play through without bugs/glitches getting in the way. Being marketed as a remaster of sorts, this is a step down from the original trilogy in more ways than one. Minimal effort put into this and it really shows. The very VERY basic structure for success is there but this game completely misses the mark.

    Many bugs, poor optimization, a lot of cut content, censorship.
    Seriously, Rockstar, you turned into someone who was ridiculed in all games.
    P.S. The ped's models are very very horrible

    Currently unplayable mess, the amount of crashes i've been getting on the van heist mission means i can no longer continue the rest of the game currently...it serves me right for preordering for once.. never again!!

    Off the bat I knew this was a remaster and not a remake, I knew not to think we would be getting a Mafia: Definitive Edition looking game. However, this remaster is one of the laziest I've ever seen. I'll start with what I like about the games. The lighting looks great, the main protagonists look decent, the weapon wheel is a good addition and it is a crisp looking production. There areOff the bat I knew this was a remaster and not a remake, I knew not to think we would be getting a Mafia: Definitive Edition looking game. However, this remaster is one of the laziest I've ever seen. I'll start with what I like about the games. The lighting looks great, the main protagonists look decent, the weapon wheel is a good addition and it is a crisp looking production. There are far too many issues though for me to enjoy this game, the framerate on PS5 is absolutely shocking for a game this old, the character models for most outside of the protagonists look absolutely terrible, the apparent AI they used to upscale signage didn't work well and there a multitude of spelling mistakes, the draw distance takes any immersion that existed in the original games is gone, "classic" GTA songs are gone, the new aiming system (while looking good on the outside) seems to be based on the old code so seems not quite right.

    There are other issues with the game but to be honest all I can say is don't pay the full price for this, it is not worth it and its a completely unfinished game. I still have the ones that were ported to ps3/ps4 and despite them having no upgrades they still play much better in my opinion. I really hope Rockstar take this off Grove Street Games and fix it as soon as possible. Will they? I'm not sure the will.    … Expand

    Auto save is a nice touch but that's about the only thing these games having going for them. Everything is worse apart from lighting, 60 fps and textures. Models are worse in every way and they somehow introduced more bugs. Game gets 2 points for quality of life.

PC version got removed after people paid for it. Performance issues (FPS) for the console versions I tried. Not worth trying out and playing.     Honteux de la part de Rockstar de proposer un tel remaster au prix fort. Après une énième version de GTA 5, nous pensions avoir tout vu mais visiblement Rockstar continue de prendre les joueurs pour des pigeons.

Мать его, оригинал в разу круче смотрится! Люди самостоятельно на движке GTA V делали Vice Сity, видно что с душой делал, а тут просто ппц! И вопрос к Rock Star, я понимаю, что делал подрядчик, вы хоть раз запускали, то что сделали они? Вас же там не двое трое сидят, у вас большой штат. Зачем выпускать продукт, которое просто говно!
    Во всем виноват Тод Говард, он запустил эту тенденцию выпускать говно (Fallout 76), а потом допиливать патчами! Короче ВЕРНИТЕ МОИ ДЕНЬГИ!    … Expand

    - This effort does not cost a full price game, 20€ to 30€ at most would be okay to ask for the very same 15-20 years old games.

    I see Rockstar took a page out of China's book and found their own 50 cent army to write a page of 10 star reviews. Your game is **** you should feel bad and sadly so does everyone that paid £60 for it, its barely bearable even if you crack it for free.

This so called definitive edition is one of the most pathetic remasters of all time, especially considering how amazing Rockstar used to be. They were the top. They were the best there ever was.     jogo extremamente bugado, modelos 3d de personagens toscos demais, sons e animações originais do gta antigo, sem nenhuma melhora.
    única coisa que se salva nesse gta trilogy são os gráficos, mesmo tendo uns problemas bem merda também eles são a melhor (ou a única) coisa boa desse remaster/remake. rockstar retirou os jogos da sua loja no pc também, assim fazendo com que NINGUÉM possa jogar    jogo extremamente bugado, modelos 3d de personagens toscos demais, sons e animações originais do gta antigo, sem nenhuma melhora.
    única coisa que se salva nesse gta trilogy são os gráficos, mesmo tendo uns problemas bem merda também eles são a melhor (ou a única) coisa boa desse remaster/remake. rockstar retirou os jogos da sua loja no pc também, assim fazendo com que NINGUÉM possa jogar eles através do pc (sem piratear é claro)    … Expand

    I like Sa, but every time I try to start some side quest and sa keeps crashing and its impossible to start it. And some mission crashes only if u use the checkpoint.

    From the Definitive Edition of the iconic GTA titles emerged a technically unfinished remaster, which remained halfway. The content is and will always remain timeless, but the way to get to it and to enjoy it is simply not good.

    A textbook example of how not to remaster games from the PlayStation 2 era, these defective "definitive" releases are just desecration of three classic titles that deserve much better treatment.
