    Graphics are nice, but not the best in racing games I would say. It lacks of variety on modes after finishing the campaign. Forcing you to be online to play single player modes is absurd, and the game is designed forcing you to buy credit with real money, embarrassing.

    Great graphics and some cool features with cool customizations on the cars but the fact that you make no money in races, cars and parts are ridiculously over priced like tires being 20k-40k and no newer cars for how new the game is is just crazy. I would give it a 2 but with the update and not being able to play a game you spend hard earned money on sucks. The entire game was shut down.     A good racing game at its core ruined by greed. Measly race rewards with obnoxious micro transactions, “roulette” spins that always give you the lowest value prize, and always online functionality

    Sony promise that you just need to insert the disc and no internet connection required to play on PS4 launch .... what a frakin' lie. This game suppose to be great, graphic great, gameplay great, BUT plague with microtransactions, grindie nature, and always online requirement. When the server offline, you're F*CKED even when the disc is inserted!!     I play Gran Turismo since GT1 and to be honest GT7 is biggest disappointment. Driving model is really quite good, expect feeling at the age of grip in RWD cars which is a little bit not realistic. Single player for now is quite short, but to be fair missions are quite nice. The worst thing is that I paid for 25th anniversary on disc and surprise game can't be played without InternetI play Gran Turismo since GT1 and to be honest GT7 is biggest disappointment. I understand every now Ne wants to earn money, but this game cost almost 100US with no proper single player(as internet is needed) and hrewards model build way to use real money to buy credits.… Expand

    I just don't understand why it took so long to make this game. GT7 on release day was 5 years old already. I'm big fan of GT. Had every part on every platform. Evolution is needed here. Btw. why there is no quick settings for PP adjust? Waiting for fixes.

    Good game, too buggy in places, and obviously released too early. But the microtransactions made me suspicious. And the reduction of rewards feels awfully like we’re being shafted.

    Very uncool, and not what I expect from a trusted brand. Needs fixed FAST, or they’ll alienate their fanbase quickly.

    Difficult to buy the few nice cars the game has, the money rewards are low. There are more than 400 cars, but most of them are old and boring. It looks like after patch 1.07 they want you to buy the cars with real money. I have WiFi disconnecting some times, and when it happens, I lose all the race progress or the championship. We need offline play!!

    I've liked Sony since the walkman but this stuff is getting lame. Man, what kind of stuff is this? No real guy would put such lame MTX in a full price game. Not to mention the server outages. Oh man. Lame stuff. Always online for single player: lame stuff.

    It has come a way since launch. The newest update and the free VR function transforms this already fantastic game into a new dimension.

    It's not a massive jump from Gran Turismo Sport, which is not bad. The gameplay, visuals, and audio are awesome as expected. But the always-online requirement and micro-transaction focus have no place in this game. They just destroyed the whole fun and experience.

    Was enjoying launch. Nerf to credits make me not want to play much anymore. The amount of time they want you to play to buy 1 car is rediculous. Racing is fine, but they are just being greedy for microtransactions now with not being able to sell cars and rewards being so low.

    Finally a game where you cannot afford the cars you cannot afford in real life. Do you have to work for many month so you can buy a new car? Now you can relive that in the real Grinding simulator. Did you always think that GT2, GT3 etc. had to many interesting championships ? Well, don't be afraid, in GT7 there are only a few, mostly very    Grind Turismo 7

    Finally a game where you cannot afford the cars you cannot afford in real life.

    Did you always think that GT2, GT3 etc. had to many interesting championships ? Well, don't be afraid, in GT7 there are only a few, mostly very boring championships.
    Did you ever think in a racing game "I hate that I could by all the cars all the time - wait no longer in GT7 that problem is gone - half the cars are only available by chance in the dealership and if you do not have the 200.000.000.0000.000.000.000 credits ready when it pops up - maybe it will shop up 8 years later again - don't forget to login every day.

    Pros- Visuals look good. Physics & handling are simcade but nice, and feel good on a controller. Fast load times. Day/night cycle and weather(although there are limitations such as can't change weather on all tracks & can only speed up day/night cycle to 10x speed) .

    Cons- Always-on-connection for single player campaign. Economy deliberately ruined to force you to buy MTX. Nothing much to do after the introductory café "campaign". Game feels half finished. No endurance races or anything that needs advanced licences to compete in. Ui is fiddly and cumbersome. Dirt physics are terrible. Can't sell cars as they want you to buy MTX. No decent payouts for longer races. Pit stops are separate cutscene system. Every race involves starting at the back of the pack and overtaking the ai. Terrible lack of customisation in camera positions (can only move it by a few centimetres in any direction, so no way to fill the screen with the dash from inside the cockpit).

    Seems like they released a half finished game with the idea to either release the rest later for free, or based on their current MTX model, more likely to release it as paid content. The game is a full retail game with the economy of a free-to-play MTX grindfest.

    Couldn't recommended in it's current state.
    Without most of these issues it would get a 7/10 from me, but the very fact that it has an Always-on-connection requirement for the single player portion of the game gets it an instant zero.    … Expand

    Would be a 10 if had proper career mode and better rewards for races on and offline. Except for the 3 grind tracks the payments are pitiful if you want to buy a legendary car. Even so its great.

    I have been an absolute fanatic for GT for 25 years with 10's of thousands of hours "seat" time. This current iteration is 100% trash. F@ck you Polyphony and Sony. Everything about it is infuriating. From the absolutely INSANE macrotransactions ($180.00usd to buy a McLaren F1)    I created a Metacritic account for the sole purpose of reviewing this warcrime they are calling Gran Turismo 7.

    I have been an absolute fanatic for GT for 25 years with 10's of thousands of hours "seat" time. This current iteration is 100% trash. F@ck you Polyphony and Sony. Everything about it is infuriating. From the absolutely INSANE macrotransactions ($180.00usd to buy a McLaren F1) to the preposterously egregious grinding to earn peanuts to the cringe-as-f@ck hand-holding avatars that can not be turned off to the mandatory internet connection to the undefeatable nerfing of your car EVEN IN NON-SANCTIONED CUSTOM RACES to the absurdly paltry payouts (1/10th of what they used to be) in custom races to the blatantly obvious boosting of other cars even when boost is turned off to the lack of any new tracks to the inability to buy 90% of the available cars to the horrific UI that makes navigation positively glacial to the dimwit rain application and finally the absolute sh!t, hack, phone-it-in, lazy, zero-effort "improvements" from Sport.

    What a f@cking joke. You should be positively ashamed of yourselves Polyphony and Sony.    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
