    As much as I love Gran Turismo series and this game, I am really pissed about the need to be connected to internet and those absurd decreases of money payouts. I wanted to play the game, but my internet connection isn't great and basically I cannot do anything in it. I will be returning the game because it's unplayable to me :(

    Unbelievable, you pay €80 and then they force you to do micro transactions because you can’t earn enough to buy all the cars!!!

    Game went from a solid 9 to a 0 all because of the offline mode. Why must I be connected to the internet to play the single player game. Spent $90 just so I could go 2 days suffering and realizing I wasted my money since unable to play game when maintenance is happening. Or in future when servers shut down. Yet I can still go play GT1-4 for PS1 and 2 and start where I left off, or startGame went from a solid 9 to a 0 all because of the offline mode.     Been a Gran Turismo gamer for 20 years, always enjoyed the game, always look forward to the next game in the series. GT7 was no different and the quality of the game has been let down by faults at launch, glitches, trophy compatibility issues between PS4 and PS5 versions and worst of all slashing rewards compared to previous GT's. The car values have not changed, but rewards are sometimesBeen a Gran Turismo gamer for 20 years, always enjoyed the game, always look forward to the next game in the series. GT7 was no different and the quality of the game has been let down by faults at launch, glitches, trophy compatibility issues between PS4 and PS5 versions and worst of all slashing rewards compared to previous GT's. The car values have not changed, but rewards are sometimes less than 25% of previous, why? Kaz claims, in his apology for downtime, that he wants everyone to enjoy the cars, how when it would take 10-15 hrs of serious grinding to get enough credits for one of the 20m unicorn cars, that is not enjoyable gameplay. I am more than willing to 'work' for the cars I want, but when you only have 1-2 hours per day for gaming time I ain't spending it on this. It will no doubt be another 5 years before the next GT, but unfortuntaley I won't be waiting in anticipation next time.… Expand

    This is a free to play game you have to pay €75 for, just to be able to play it. And what do you get when you've bought the game? A tiny career mode you'll blast through in a few days... And pretty much nothing else. Unless you buy in-game currency at €20 per 2 million credits, that is! This game doesn't exist to be played, it exists to spend money on. Only buy this if you desperately wantThis is a free to play game you have to pay €75 for, just to be able to play it. And what do you get when you've bought the game? A tiny career mode you'll blast through in a few days... And pretty much nothing else. Unless you buy in-game currency at €20 per 2 million credits, that is! This game doesn't exist to be played, it exists to spend money on.     Welcome to the Gran Capitalismo 7!

    Main features:
    - new simulator of poverty
    - insane short career
    - lack of cars
    - lack of events
    - low rewards and bad economy
    - crazy microtransactions
    - online only
    - f2p structure

    The game uses a balance system so if you are not going to pay through microtransactions you will suffer. If you don't pay with real money, you will grind longer.

    No career mode like previous titles, push users towards microtransactions by nerfing rewards, almost non-existent offline mode. 100% would not recommend!

    Good game content but reliance on MTX has made this game borderline unplayable. Frustrating too that a game with 25 years of loyal fan base would turn against players like this. What a shame

    "5,000 Credits" at all level of award tickets are unforgivable, making cars so expensive and hard to earn credits, really WON'T help people to like cars, and player.
    This is not a EA or Activision game OK ??
    "Single Player" mode should be able to play OFF LINE, really, player are not thief or cheater.
    And reduce some race award are also unforgivable.

    After all the critic reviews had been released they patched the game to increase the reliance on microtransactions. Shame on Sony and Polyphony for such predatory behaviour. I hope they notice this backlash and restore the franchise to what it once was.

    The game is a simple drive simulation.

    GOOD- Graphic detail; huge garage; basically a GT!
    BAD- No qualification (you start in end of race),
    all the patches are to increase micro-transactions (lowering prize and augmet price of car).

    after the patch I would not buy the game anymore.

    Pros- Visuals look good. Physics & handling are simcade but nice, and feel good on a controller. Fast load times. Day/night cycle and weather(although there are limitations such as can't change weather on all tracks & can only speed up day/night cycle to 10x speed) .

    Cons- Always-on-connection for single player campaign. Economy deliberately ruined to force you to buy MTX. Nothing much    Pros- Visuals look good.     Cons- Always-on-connection for single player campaign. Economy deliberately ruined to force you to buy MTX. Nothing much to do after the introductory café "campaign". Game feels half finished. No endurance races or anything that needs advanced licences to compete in. Ui is fiddly and cumbersome. Dirt physics are terrible. Can't sell cars as they want you to buy MTX. No decent payouts for longer races. Pit stops are separate cutscene system. Every race involves starting at the back of the pack and overtaking the ai. Terrible lack of customisation in camera positions (can only move it by a few centimetres in any direction, so no way to fill the screen with the dash from inside the cockpit).

    Seems like they released a half finished game with the idea to either release the rest later for free, or based on their current MTX model, more likely to release it as paid content. The game is a full retail game with the economy of a free-to-play MTX grindfest.

    Couldn't recommended in it's current state.
    Without most of these issues it would get a 7/10 from me, but the very fact that it has an Always-on-connection requirement for the single player portion of the game gets it an instant zero.    … Expand

    They should remove the DRM as well as microtransactions.

    While playing the game I saw that invitation massage twlling me that I could buy some cars and I was perplexed and today I learned about thos subject I cannot buy certain cars until I receive these invitations!

    I should be thanking Sony for helping me to boycott all of their exclusives.

    Now it doesn't sit well with me that the Boss says things will improve...improvements (key game making) on    Paying up front ($154.00 AUD) for a game that heavily relies on Micro-Transactions is just wrong. I wish I had known before buying it, and I wouldn't have brought it. At the price of these transactions, there is NOTHING MICRO about it...there are some serious money requirements.

    Now it doesn't sit well with me that the Boss says things will improve...improvements (key game making) on this level should have been in the game already.

    What's the bet soon we will see a season pass for $49.95 as a pay-gate for future content.

    I will not be participating in the rout by PD/Sony.

    Roulette tickets are a joke. The chance to win something decent is terrible.

    The outage...OK fair enough, but the communication to the community was appalling.

    The fact that Collector Level means what? Nothing....you are supposed to earn credits (or buy them with a credit card) and buy cars and this raises your collector level...it takes so much to raise this and you get zip, nil, nada for it....so why both with it...was it just to fill a gap on the screen?

    The need to be ONLINE or you can't play is predatory.

    No true endurance races...where's the ones of 30-50 laps races...boring with current selections!

    The advertising states you can sell cars...you cant! - But there is an achievement that wants you to buy the same car 10 times....guess what, if you do this you are left with 9 cars you cant use...and can't sell...LOL, what a joke!!

    RIP Gran Turismo franchise...the party is well and truly over.

    Let me know when someone starts a "Class Action" against Sony and Polyphony Digital. 'Fraudulent Misrepresentation' and 'Breach of a Constructive Trust' come to mind.

    How much of a "cut" does Sony take for each of these cash grab purchases??    … Expand

Not to mention certain cars, some of which cost more than 10,000,000 credits, require invitations to buy them, or are only avaliable for a limited time, which is basically weaponized FOMO. Players either have to grind races with crap payouts or fork over real-life money to buy in-game credits before the cars disappear for god-knows-how-long. The McLaren F1 in particular went from costing 1,000,000 credits in previous titles to 18,500,000 credits, which is nothing short of outrageous.

    In short, corporate greed and microtransactions have singlehandedly ruined a video game with frankly stunning graphics and gameplay, and have tarnished the legacy of Gran Turismo. Do NOT buy this game until Polyphony Digital decides to get their crap together.    … Expand

    I have returned this game. Absolutely disgraceful to charge £70 and then expect fans to pay double or even triple that just to compete. (Or spend 5 days grinding for the same car).

    I will never buy another Gran Turismo game. For shame Playstation.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
