Sport tested my allegiance but the promise of a proper GT again pulled me back in, but now finding that after shelling out £70 for a half finished game with most cars being basically hidden behind a considerable pay wall means it’s the last GT for me. Thanks Kaz, it was fun but now you’ve removed any joy the series once provided. Expand

It's a overpriced mix up from gt4 and gts with very bad failures totaly old animations for even older features lobby mode is a disaster in several ways and I may ask where are new cars ? How ist it possible that we don't have actual gr.3 cars ?

Un très bon jeu, qui avec ses mises a jour se bonifie, même si je ne digère pas le fait qu'il faut être obligatoirement connecté pour pouvoir y jouer.

The career mode can not be launched without an internet connection, and since the update, the races give less money encouraging players to pay micro transactions

Pay to play. Pay to play. Pay to play. Horribly limited story mode. No available content after completing. Race rewards were reduced to lead ppl to spend on microtransactions.

Once you get some of those top tier race cars you can’t even use them in championships or even created races…

And ofcourse there are a lot of FOMO techniques to try and make you spend money on micro transactions, which in them selfs are crazy 2mil for 20 euros… In short to buy the mclaren F1 car you’d need to pay 189$ to buy it or race for 32hours straight…

The basis is there, just add more races and more ways to earn credits, we love a grind, but this is just crazy and seems a pointless attempt at selling MTX…

Added to that, when the game was offline for 32 hrs, only the arcade races and the music rally where playable… nothing single player related campaign could be played. Due to the always online feature.. and besides a “We’re sorry” no clear explanation, updates or compensation for the downtime.

Its sad to see, I love the series and the early grind, but once the single player menu is done, the game feels empty… give us more races, Bspec and more ways to earn credits.

And ofc, let us sell cars or tuning items for cars we don’t own, or don’t wanna own in the near future.

I bought the game on day one since I am a long-term fan of the GT series and I am seriously upset with the direction taken by Polyphony.

First of all - let me play offline. Not this joke of a demo.
The second thing - what the hell is going on with the car prices? Do you seriously think I am going to buy credits on top of a $70 game?

Until then, my score will remain ZERO.

The post-launch change of rewards from events and roulette rewards are a joke as well and all tie into the same issue. This might be the worst monetization strategy I‘ve ever seen and I know Ubisoft games from the last few years so that has to mean a lot.

If you just want good gameplay and don‘t care about the specific cars too much wait for a sale. But no one should pay more than let‘s say $30-40 for these scammy tactics. If you do have an interest in the cars, just play a different game because this is certainly not worth either unlimited amounts of time or unlimited amounts of your hard earned cash.

I have been waiting for a gran turismo game for years, even since sport I anticipated what gran turismo 7 would look like, however microtransactions? Always online needed? Even UPDATING the game to make payouts LOWER??? I still love the game but I cannot give any score due to these issues, this most likely isn't Yamuchis fault aswelk, it smells of sony corporatism and being out of touch

The micro transactions aren't terrible as I understand costs are now higher than ever and these things are kinda necessary for continued content for the life of the game. Game also needs the return of race qualifying as constantly starting at the back of the pack (and why always rolling starts?) Isn't a good way to do a racing game. The removal of selling gift cars though as not surprising is a pretty terrible move forcing people to either grind extensively or pay real money for in game credits to purchase cars which wasn't a deal breaker for me as race rewards still weren't that bad but the recent update reducing all the race rewards is just embarrassing and needs to be called out. Polyphony needs to get back the the roots of the GT series and if they do need funding for future content it should be done in the way of paid DLC and not micro transactions. Expand

Another player displeased with the game's policies. Always on prevents the player from playing if there is maintenance on the server, it was the case a few days ago that took about 24 hours.
And then the difficulty they put in the last updates to earn credits, forcing the player to invest in microtransactions.
Being a paid game, I find Polygon's position deplorable.

Polyphony Digital has destroyed GT 7 and their reputation by making it:
    1. Impossible to win, even at the easiest setting - I have been playing GT Sports for the past 2 years and I have won Gold in all the Lessons and all the races that I chose to play in.
    2. The PP Points are misleading and does not reflect the best car for the particular race making it impossible to win certain races.

    3. Ridiculously greedy microtransactions force the gamers to buy certain cars and game credits to acquire the car that they wanted.
    4. Reduced winning rewards credits, most of the tournaments now have ridiculously low winning credits
    5. The Gift Cards are a joke, not once have I have gotten the highest reward. I got the lowest credits every time. This is by far the cheapest attitude from any game producer ever. Polyphony, you have managed to stoop so low that now everyone knows your true nature.

Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
