the game truly is hot garbage everything about it seemed bad to me. AI is bad, the dialogues are pure cringe, the graphics are outdated, UI looks like a mobile game, the combat system isn't satisfying and clunky, animation is stiff, it has one of worst stealth system ever, rpg elements are annoying, traversal methods are so bad especially robin's teleportation thing, no good soundtracks, the game truly is hot garbage everything about it seemed bad to me. Story and cinematics are decent and engaging, the dynamics and personality given to all the characters really shines. It really strings together the background characters of Gotham and puts them into their own narrative without the need for Batman to be around every corner. Yes it has clunky traversal and combat, but if you're playing the game for just that, maybe consider something else, because its a co-op beat 'em up looter at its core, so the combat will become tedious at some point to anyone but die-hard fans.

Play it alone and enjoy the story, or mess around with the boys in co-op, and its a good time.
Not incredible, but not nearly as terrible as some might say, especially in the age of modern gaming.

It's not an Arkham game, and that's fine. It's an action RPG. So keep that in mind when going into this game. With that being said, I think this game is a real treat for die hard Batman fans. I love what WB Montreal has done with this and appreciate the different direction they have taken.

First of all, the graphics are impressive. I'm so immersed in this neon noir styled Gotham City, which is filled with people and things to do. The gameplay is incredibly fun once you get used to all the new mechanics and upgrade your stats and unlock new abilities. Also, the combat takedowns in this game are some of the flashiest and most style takedowns I've ever seen. I'm glad they went with the court of owls storyline, it's a great ride with very cool and perhaps slightly predictable twists. Customisation is really well done, with lots of variety in suits to choose from. Especially the Jim Lee inspired suits, they look incredible. I haven't even spoken about how awesome co-op is, it adds a whole other dimension to the game and opens up another level of enjoyment when exploring the city and stopping crime with your friends.

The performance issues at launch are not great, but I expect fixes to roll out soon as is the case with most games. WBM have even created a bug tracking system for players to submit their issues to, so that's a good sign.

Not sure why this game is getting such hard reviews. Don’t compare it to Arkham. It’s not that but it’s a fun game with a great story and voice acting.

9 year wait for this garbage! Terrible performance issues, bugs, shallow gameplay, loot/Grind gameplay is horrible, dialogue is horrendous. Boring lifeless open world. Beaten by every single Arkham game from decades ago.

1- First thing Don't compare Gotham Knights with Batman Arkham Knight, this is unfair to both games, there is a big difference between Action Adventure Open World game and Action RPG open world game

2- really loved everything about the game from the story to the four superheroes too, it's gotham city, it's life full of peoples and great gameplay

It started with the Arkham series and then it was PS4 Spiderman but now objectively the evolution and current peak of superhero videogames is without a doubt Gotham Knights. Thank you so much Warner Bros Montreal!

30 fps on PS5 is this a joke WB Montreal, GOW ragnorok has even a 120fps mode with a 2.1 HDMI cable, this game is so poorly optimized I wished it got delayed more so they could've added atleast a 60fps proformance mode.

The game is not perfect, but it’s still a 10 for me! It’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a co-op campaign, exploring the city separately and coming together for mission is really fun and the team attacks are awesome!

all those who put 10 are fake, it is absolutely not true that the game is beautiful, indeed, and it is really unstable on console it runs at 30 fps when you stand still and when you use the bike it drops down to 21 fps is really ridiculous.

For a studio which last game was Arkham Origins in 2013, it is unacceptable that this game was deliver the way it was. 30 fps for a next-gen exclusive game, lazy writing, underwhelming story.
-The court of owls were not made justice. They lost the chance to develop the organization and were left almost as a side villain.
-The combat is slow and tedious. They got rid of the counter button

-The combat is slow and tedious. They got rid of the counter button of the Arkham franchise and you have to roll/jump to avoid getting punched.
-The city is beautiful BUT it barely has NPCs and cars, if feels completely empty and the batcycle goes slower than walking.
-The traversal is awful, only batgirl has a good traversal movement.
-The dialogue is off, there are awkward silences between takes and the script is just lazy.
-The story is predictable. Since the first cutscene you know who is pulling the strings.
And last, Batman/Bruce Wayne is made as a suicidal, bland character.

Wait for a sale before you touch this game. It is not worth your hard earn money

So let me start with this that i'm a die hard batman fan , but i don't like it when he's with justice league or batfamily , i have no interest in them , but i love it when he's with alfred and gordon and maybe catwoman , so i was worried about the idea of this game from the first trailer . But they did a good job on handeling these four and the chemistery between them is great . But they did a good job on handeling these four and the chemistery between them is great . For story , it's interesting and it's a original tale , but it may feel a bit empty because it lacks of great batman villains since the only threat in main storyline is court of owls . side quests gets repetive except a few of them and combat is nothing close to arkham series but still fun . The thing that i enjoyed most is gotham and how alive i think it is . Exploring it is so much fun . In the end i think dc fans and batman fans like me will enjoy it but lower your expectations before playing Expand

The game is not bad and serves you a lot. You want a hero? You have four. Want big missions? Usually you have about three going at once. You want side missions? You've got a city full of them. Which doesn't mean it's a great game. Just good and solid. [Issue#323]

Not being content with being one of the most soulless products released under the Warner Bros. label, it is also extremely underwhelming from a technical point of view. Gotham Knights was originally developed as a multi-gen title, but PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions got cancelled. Despite this, the visuals underwhelm and fail to impress and manage to look worse than the last major Batman instalment released seven years prior. Capping at a mere 30fps might be excusable if this boasted the most cutting edge visuals on the market, but it manages to look cheap and dated. For a AAA production from Warner Bros., this should have been a visual tour de force, with top writing talent, and have evolved the gameplay to compete with its contemporaries. Maybe it can be salvaged over time with updates, but currently it's one of the most droll and sloppily designed triple-A products of 2022.

Gotham Knights would be a great game, its sandbox approach to exploring Gotham is top-notch and its story keeps you just engaged enough to keep playing. The problem lies in the game’s lackluster combat and endless fighting cycles of beating up the same factions over and over and over with little to no variation to dialogue.
