    Overall I enjoyed this game really and Saints Row 2022 reboot is a hell of a lot worse than this. I say to each their own. The gameplay got a bit more basic and same with leveling and unlocking. This is still more enjoyable than Marvels Avengers in which that game is a grind fest and in that many of the cosmetic suits are locked behind a paywall. I feel most people's problem with it is some how they thought it was going to be Arkham even though you know the developers said multi times it wasn't.     Finished the game, IK the performance is terrible at optimization, but yeah the game story was good and somewhat immersive. I also would love to see they bring Batman back in a DLC to play. The four characters are totally unique and have the potential to make them different.     I let critical reviews put me off for a long time and only recently got it on sale, game is actually pretty good and I’m surprised with the negativity. Maybe with the patches to date it’s improved things, but even so there’s a lot of great things that would have been in the game from release day that we’re sold short.

There’s something nice about it’s simplicity and its combat system is just deep enough to be compelling but not tiring. Worth playing but maybe not at $70 if you don’t want to spend or rather spend on something else.     This game is much better than reviews led me to believe which is why I’m glad I gave it a chance. The gameplay loop is oddly addicting and it’s fun going around Gotham stopping crimes and interacting with the villains. Some people enjoy playing games and some people just enjoy complaining about them.     I'm tired of negative reviews based on facts that do not relate to the game. Negative reviews focus on 30FPS, the bat-cycle and the fact it's not an Arkham game. This game is really good. Gotham looks great, the story is very good. It is a pleasure upgrading and choosing between four heroes for various missions. The multiplayer is fun and flawless. The story is good.     I think alot of these low reviews are based on last minute last gen cancellation and i get the 30fps isn't great on a ps5 game but it looks great and plays great but suffers from "andromeda" syndrome where people compare it to what came before. its not an arkham game fighting is fun and diffrent you can't say arkhams fighting is great and this is repetitive because arkham was the same 3-4I think alot of these low reviews are based on last minute last gen cancellation and i get the 30fps isn't great on a ps5 game but it looks great and plays great but suffers from "andromeda" syndrome where people compare it to what came before. its not an arkham game fighting is fun and diffrent you can't say arkhams fighting is great and this is repetitive because arkham was the same 3-4 buttons to fight the same couple of guys cosplaying as Joe rogan and shouting "it's the bat". story is really good better than most games I've played this year all the members of the bat family feel diffrent in and out of combat, suits look great and as always they have nailed Alfred. the reveals and twists in the game you can see a mile away especially long time bat fans, stealth whilst in some areas is better than the arkham games in others it's not. if arkham games didn't exist this game would be up there with spiderman 2018 voice actors are good especially Alfred's and nightwing's, story has a great start and end it drops slightly in the middle villans look good and fit in with the twisted city that is gotham its nice to have cars and civilians on the streets no vague weather warnings or evacuations in this game and it has the balls to kill of batman and they did it. what they have done deserves alot of credit IGN gave this game a 5 and gave saints row 2022 a 6 it's strange because except for elden ring so far this year this is the only complete and working game I've played now let's all enjoy it untill Nov 9th when gow obliterates it.… Expand

    I’m in love with the game. It’s has its glitches, very few but they do happen, but the crimes all over the city and 4 playable characters with single or coop is what the Batman games always needed and never got. The different costumes and enemy types keep me busy and the story and the rpg elements are a nice touch. Looking forward to wants in store for DLC!

    After spending 50+ hours in this game, I can safely say the critics are wrong about this one. It is very similar to Marvels Spiderman games, mixed with elements of Destiny. Combat is a blast and Gotham is so much fun to navigate around. The story is great too.

    30+ hrs into the game, and it's evident that this game needs the player to put those initial hours in to really open up (similar to days gone), but once it does open up, it's almost like a love letter to the bat family comic book fans! This game is in no way unnecessary or bad. It's above average in the initial hours, and good to almost a masterpiece post those hours! You can alter the method in which you encounter enemies. You can cheese the game, or be meticulous and see the hard work the development team put into the animations and feedback. The combat in my opinion, though similar to spider man minus the floaty maneuvers, is fun in its own right. It’s flashy, has some decent variety in enemy types and crimes, and just has not gotten boring for me. The story is interesting. It’s engaging, it feels decently rooted in the city you run around in. A city I’m aiming to 100% just like Spider-Man. It’s a comic book game, don’t get me wrong, but it wears this on its sleeve and still manages to at least touch on the multi-dimensional layers a human can have. The game knows it’s gritty, nonsensical, and flashy. The characters even know this. The suits and color ways are absolutely mint to go through and wear out on the town. I mainly main Red-Hood but can be quite honest when I’ve found myself losing time with the other characters and their options. It’s steeped in variety and gives incentive to actually wear the new gear you craft or catch (unlike Avengers/Marvel’s Numbers) I’m still randomly swapping out suits for either elemental reasons, critical chance reasons, or style; often the game aligns all three of these at once in a suit for me. I’m in love.

    Is it worth it for 70$?? I don’t think most games are without a decent amount of support for the game given after launch. As for right now, without the optimization rolled out, gauntlet mode released, or possible DLCs mentioned, I’d only recommend this game for about $45-$55 range. I think the developers should definitely reap the rewards of their efforts but I, like most, worry about my own financial/enjoyment situation more than I do being persuasive. It’s a fun game. More fun if you love the characters. Story holds onto you, world is just flashy and interesting enough to keep you, combat feels very open to many styles. Worth it for me!! 81/100    … Expand

    Really good game has its issues but other than that it's really good, some great boss fights and missions, only problem is the fps drops and sometimes weird animations. Awesome costumes to unlock and loads of criminals to beat.

    1st off, stop comparing this to a Batman only title, this is not that. Your experience will vary but this game is truly fun and underrated. Story is very good and the reviews are just overwhelming overblown.

Either don't revive batman or let him STAY alive, the way they did it just makes you so disappointed. FPS kinda sucks but it's mostly fine. The gameplay is great and I've seen many reviews on YouTube that say the gameplay repetitive but it's not. The city was made well but there aren't very enticing incentives for exploring it. Also the Nighthood suits (the best suits in the game) being only transmogs was disappointing too as colorways can't be applied to transmogs, not to mention that they dont have cowl, symbol, glove, or shoe options. The same goes for the **** suits that are locked behind DLC. The stealth is very well done and the combat system using momentum bars works very well. Also the skills unlocked via the ability trees neither make you seem too overpowered, nor do they seem meaningless. btw fire whoever designed Jason Todd's hoodie strings… Expand

    I am really enjoying this game. Yes it not perfect but I like the choice to play as 4 characters. The batcycle is far too slow but for everyone banging on about fps I just don't even really notice it. So as for me I'm really enjoying it and im glad i bought it.

The traversal could be more streamlined but hasn’t dampened my experience. The combat is fun and diverse. People complaining they want deeper combat systems makes no sense to me, the combat is similar to Arkham games, Arkham gamesThe reviews I have seen have been extremely harsh.     1- First thing Don't compare Gotham Knights with Batman Arkham Knight, this is unfair to both games, there is a big difference between Action Adventure Open World game and Action RPG open world game

    2- really loved everything about the game from the story to the four superheroes too, it's gotham city, it's life full of peoples and great gameplay

The biggest issue I see is the fps being 30 and even dipping at times. For a AAA game it’s not acceptable. I know they said it was due to Xbox specs but if that’s the case then find an alternative.     Really great game with surprisingly good grapics to be a open world game, why do some reviews try to be so negative no idea.
    On ps5 it is stabile 30fps and it feels ok to be only 30fps. If you like superhero games you would need this one, better then avengers and guardians.

Every single boss in the game is amazing (except 1 which I admittedly despise) combat feels more rewarding as I learn more about the games mechanics. For instance grabbing an enemy while someone is about to shoot you forces them to lineAs someone who feels that fps is an irrelevant factor in how good a game is I adore this game. To such a degree it's one of my favorite games of the year. Every single boss in the game is amazing (except 1 which I admittedly despise) combat feels more rewarding as I learn more about the games mechanics. For instance grabbing an enemy while someone is about to shoot you forces them to line up the shot again. While the movement definitely could have been better it's still extremely fun grappling around. Plenty of things to do and find. But don't get me wrong it's far from perfect. Collectibles are all a nightmare to find without just googling it as none of these very small items have hints on where to find them. Bike is very underwhelming considering it's the only vehicle. And while I enjoy learning about the mechanics of each enemy they could have used a tips menu of some kind. But even with all that being said. I love this game. And I highly recommend it as long as you aren't obsessed with the notion of fps like many of the other reviews here.… Expand

This game is RPG and NOT a Arkham action game.     The game is not perfect, but it’s still a 10 for me! It’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a co-op campaign, exploring the city separately and coming together for mission is really fun and the team attacks are awesome!

I will take beautiful nex gen graphics with 30fps any day over performance mode. Graphics here are truly amazing and the gameplay, open world and combat are all very good!     Its solid, ran fine on my older 5 year old system at 1080p and has a lot of fun characters to enjoy.. Not a fan of Batman myself but like the Bat family a lot. The systems are fun the loot is fun and the world feel just right. The combat feels deeper than Arkham series and looks a lot nicer as well, and finally less Rain 24/7..

    Solid 8/10 for me.

    I don't know about others but I love this game. When it comes to wanting a game that really makes you feel like being a superhero this is the best I have ever played. Going out night after night and waging war on crime of the worst city in the world. This is exactly what I wanted and what I got.

    The game is a ton of fun for fans of DC and the Batman Family. Even if you don't know much about them, the combat is not Arkham but it's excellent in its own right. The gameplay loop is quite addictive. My only wish would be that I could take an AI companion with me if I wanted. It is only 30fps on PS5, but it doesn't ruin the experience, at least for me, at all.

    Yet another game that was expected to be the second coming but is just good but not excellent. Excellent atmosphere and above average gameplay. Great story and characters. Highly recommended! In a few years will be treated as a classic like Skyrim and Cyberpunk.

    Is the game perfect? Obviously not, but the amount of reviews giving this game a 0 based solely on 30fps is ridiculous. This score is to even out the crappy reviews this game is getting.

    I’m really enjoying the game so far. I’d probably give the game a 8. If your a Batman fan I think you will enjoy this game. If your not a pretentious fps snob.

    It's not an Arkham game, and that's fine. It's an action RPG. So keep that in mind when going into this game. With that being said, I think this game is a real treat for die hard Batman fans. I love what WB Montreal has done with this and appreciate the different direction they have taken.

    First of all, the graphics are impressive. I'm so immersed in this neon noir styled Gotham City,    It's not an Arkham game, and that's fine. It's an action RPG. So keep that in mind when going into this game. With that being said, I think this game is a real treat for die hard Batman fans. I love what WB Montreal has done with this and appreciate the different direction they have taken.

    First of all, the graphics are impressive. I'm so immersed in this neon noir styled Gotham City, which is filled with people and things to do. The gameplay is incredibly fun once you get used to all the new mechanics and upgrade your stats and unlock new abilities. Also, the combat takedowns in this game are some of the flashiest and most style takedowns I've ever seen. I'm glad they went with the court of owls storyline, it's a great ride with very cool and perhaps slightly predictable twists. Customisation is really well done, with lots of variety in suits to choose from. Especially the Jim Lee inspired suits, they look incredible. I haven't even spoken about how awesome co-op is, it adds a whole other dimension to the game and opens up another level of enjoyment when exploring the city and stopping crime with your friends.

    The performance issues at launch are not great, but I expect fixes to roll out soon as is the case with most games. WBM have even created a bug tracking system for players to submit their issues to, so that's a good sign.    … Expand

    Loving the game, it's different from the Batman games and that means it doesn't get the same old same feeling! Combat is fast and the graphics are good, love the cinematics. I've been a Batman fan all my life so I would have gotten it anyway but I was pleasantly surprised by this.

    Strength lies in the story (+3). Engaging and puts you in the moment.

    Agility is in the movement mechanics (-1). Some clunky move sets like the traversal and not mantling a wall or not focusing on the right enemy detract from the flow of your superhero movement.

    Charisma looks at the writing (+1). Catch phrases and discussions between characters keep you engaged. The interrogation and the engagement with the story keep you motivated to further progress.

    Perception looks at side content (+2). The Open World shows compassion toward multiplayer and keeps you interested in what you need or are trying to do. You feel like you are doing something toward the end goal and doesn't detract from the experience.

    Luck is about loot and rewards (+1). Collectibles, while tedious in other Arkham games, feel less important, yet give rewarding lore when collected (its not a chore per say). The loot is interesting and plays toward that Action RPG mechanic and feels good.

    Intellect looks at puzzles and level of difficulty (-1). While the game is an action RPG, it does not rely on detective work like the others. Puzzles, like Riddler trophies or crime scenes, don't feel "Batman" worthy. They also feel thrown in. The level of difficulty saves this from a -2. It is not easy enough to press two buttons and survive. There is a level of mastery needed the further in the game you go.

    Endurance looks at length vs. interest (+1). The length is for open world games/ multiplayer fun. You can play for hours doing missions and foiling crime. The main story is engaging and will take you some time, but replay value is also based on which character you play and how you play the game. The ability to play a bit at a time and feel good is great! For those of you with a job or responsibilities, this is a good game to play for short bursts.    … Expand

This game is great and the story is fun as heck. Once you get over the fact this is not a Batman game and go into as an entirely new concept it actually works very well. The fighting is so fun once you start to upgrade your character andNever bought the game due to the reviews and the 30 fps, but got it cheap and wow!!!     My friend and I played all the weekend, about 20 hours, and we love playing coop. The is much better with a friend then single player. Massive problem I have is the 10fps-30fps that ruin the experience for me and gave me a headache. I enjoy the exploration and combat but the fps is bad. The stealth isn't great and is clunky also. Robin is my favorite character.

    As for those who actually have money to purchase things and come looking for real reviews, I apologize you have to dig through this muck. There are some good ones sprinkled amongst the dredge, so I’ll be brief. The experience you’ll have with this game is inversely proportional to what your standards were going into it. Don’t compare it to the Arkham series; it ain’t that. Combat isn’t as engaging, and it’s not as sprawling and developed as you’d expect for a AAA “open world RPG”. The story develops nicely but the experience as a whole doesn’t feel fully complete. On the technical side, there are legitimate issues and gripes to be had, especially if you’re on a current gen console (PS5/XBOX Series X/S), in particular the frame rate hovering around 30 or less. I’d recommend this for someone who is a big DC/Batman fan, but waiting for some patches and updates to smooth out problems as well as a price drop, isn’t a bad idea. 7/10 game. 10/10 score to do my minuscule part in offsetting the fundamentalists posing as buying customers.    … Expand

    - Combat is fun, but somewhat makes you feel “powerless” at first. Why does a badass superhero need to dish out 10 punches to take down a random thug?

    Pros:

    - The story is awesome and starts off with an insane cinematic! It’s dark, intriguing and the various interiors you explore are so beautiful (the villain stories are also a blast to play).

    - Combat is challenging and the hero animations are so damn sweet!

    - Co-op (do I need to say anything more).

    - Probably the first superhero game where you can really impact how you wish to play. You get to pick between 4 very different characters that all have a unique fighting style. You get to choose your outfits and customize your stats to fit your play style.

    If you like superhero and/or co-op games, I can’t see how this game is not a blast for most players.    … Expand

    I was expecting this game to be terrible especially after the reviews but honestly it's a really fun game. My only problems are the UI & sometimes I'll have frame dips, but for the most part it's worth a try. The game kinda grows on you as you progress & learn your character better, and the city feels more alive then I would've assumed.

    It's a refreshing release compared to the same old titles that often get released with a multitude amount of bugs and ends up ruining any momentum the game might have had. I 100% thought this game would show many bugs but didn't happen to run into any. Surprising to say the title I had the least faith on actually delivers on a bug free experience, which is something most developers seem to love not doing.

    The only two complaints I have for the game is of course the stupid frame rate and traversal. Either the frame cap happened because of the quality of the textures and the amount of things on screen for the game to render or just a total lack of optimization. Either way if in a future update they can patch a 60 or even stabilize the frame rate further, I'll be happy. Traversal from the beginning of the game is SLOW to the point that when I unlocked fast travel, that would end up being the main way I got around the city. Grappling is fine but can get a little smoothed out in animations, the main problem comes from the bat-cycle which gets even worse when grouped up with the locked frame rate. Used it only for the first quarter of the game until I got my hero's movement ability's, only ever touching it again for challenges.

    This game is very difficult to recommend due to the vastly different type of game this is in comparison to the games that are being released today. I had much fun playing this and most certainly would love to possible DLC or more game modes apart from the four players PvE experience we get in a month. To those who play this game, try to enter it as if it’s a completely new game that has nothing to do with the batman games that came before it, even if it seems impossible to.    … Expand

    Amazing and fun, Gotham Knights looks visually beautiful & stunning. Had a lot of fun playing the Co-op with my little brother. This was definitely a different take from the arkham Series. Some people may like it and others won't. But don't listen to reviews and go give it a try for yourself.

This game has 4 very different characters with very different combat style and personalities. Each trying to honor the dark knight in there own ways. Despite the terrible reviews, I absolutely love this game and I feel anyone who like BatmanIn a world full of Batman, this game puts 4 of the sidekicks in the spotlight.     Really don't understand where all the hate and bad reviews this game is getting!! WB Montreal did an amazing job all around!! Gotham City is absolutely stunning, and the gameplay is great! Stop comparing this to the Rocksteady games cause it's not supposed to be one of those! This is a must play to anyone who likes open world RPG's

The main characters we have here have charm and all have different personalities and feelings and struggles. The graphics are pretty great and the game may run at 30 but honestly it doesn't take that long until you get used to it.

    And lastly the gameplay, the strongest part of the game and the game that has the most potential, the gameplay is extremely good and all the characters play differently and are all fleshed out. I don't understand the hate for the gameplay here, its truly very good and satisfying when using all your momentum abilities, hacking electronics or beating down foes with Barbara, using your piercing bullets from a range and being a brawler with Red Hood, using his acrobatic skills to his advantage and bouncing from enemy to enemy with Nightwing, playing stealthy, using your staff to strike enemies fluidly and teleporting from enemy to enemy with Robin. It's all so good!

    Some key issues I have with the game however is levels can sometimes be tedious to get through as the level design isn't very well thought out and honestly very average. Some story missions feel very lazy and half assed forcing you to do some crimes and just slapping a cutscene at the end of it. The gear system can monotonous as you constantly have to create new gear when leveling up and swapping your current gear with gear that just does more damage and so on and so forth. Some enemies are just very annoying and tedious to get through as some higher tier enemies or the talons for example will continuously dodge your attacks. And a final complaint would be the fact that sometimes you may have to grind to do certain missions or you'll find that enemies/bosses will be health sponges and it can get very annoying.

    But overall, we have a very solid game here and I would recommend it to anyone, the core of the game has lots of potential for a sequel with the main issue being that the game is just rough around the edges in a lot of aspects, but again with the main core mechanics, story and characters being overall very good. 8/10    … Expand

It's no GTA for sure but it has its own vibe. People are being too harsh on it saying devs are not trying their best making games. I think they are not being fair. The game create a city that has a lot of details. I can't believe I say this but I think it has more details than spiderman. It has undergrounds, warehouses and even the painting on the street has details. The only thing is that it has no weather change and mostly in dark due to the gotham theme. Anyway, don't judge a book by its cover. I am not saying it's a must buy for everyone. But for those who are into DC comics and open world, you might want to give it a try.… Expand

    This Game is absolutely brilliant. The story is heartfelt ,funny and overall just wonderful. Playing this game alongside my boyfriend has been an absolute joy and seeing the interaction between our two characters (Barbara and Jason) has been some of my favourite gaming moments. This game was worth the hype for me. The game was really made for the fans of the comics and the Batman universeThis Game is absolutely brilliant.     What I like most about Gotham Knights is how it feels like a day in the life of a vigilante. I enjoyed the to do list of missions and the freedom to take on different adventures anyway I pleased. It made me feel responsible for a city and gave me a sense of emersion. The combat was very familiar from the latest Batman and Spiderman video games, and I had a blast crafting and collectingWhat I like most about Gotham Knights is how it feels like a day in the life of a vigilante.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So many people apparently went into this game with the wrong assumptions. I preordered it knowing it wasn't a continuation of the Arkham series, and instead knew it was a new spin. I've currently done all the Mr.Freeze, Clayface, and Harley side quests and am about level 25. I've seen really no glitches, the combat is more arpg like than the Arkham series. The storyline is compelling and has me wanting to play more. People complaining about the 30fps have either not been gaming long or haven't done the homework. Even on a maxed PC the game drops fps.… Expand

    i don't understand the bad reviews...30fps? sure..but it's not like it's a new thing today. Gotta say i enjoy this game way more then i enjoyed God of War Ragnarok. Yes it is a bit like the Ubisoft formula..only i enjoy playing it here. Was one of the most fun i had after Elden ring

    More then decent game now after the latest update the game runs great still has some mem. leaks prob after a while but way way better then it was at launch at least.
    Gameplay its not bad (even if not on par with Arkham Knights) also the visuals are great .
    Not a top game but still a 7.7/10 fun to play the city looks great in 4K with RT ON.

    Es un muy buen juego, vale que no tenga 60 FPS, pero la historia, los personajes, la ciudad, la jugabilidad... Todo está genial hecho y si eres fan de los superhéroes o de DC lo recomiendo, lo único que no me ha molado tanto, son los niveles, sin niveles creo que hubiera estado mejor, pero es un juegazo y me ha encantado

    I didn't want to buy it because of the reviews until the price dropped at the end of the year and I bought it. The truth is that I am enjoying it and the story seems very good. The graphics are not a disaster, they are good but obviously not like other games. I would give it a 10 but because of some little things about the gameplay I give this an 8.

    Me ha encantado este juego. Es todo lo que pedía para Spiderman y aquí se me ha concedido. Nightwing es el hombre más sexy de todos los juego que he jugado.

    The game is not bad and serves you a lot. You want a hero? You have four. Want big missions? Usually you have about three going at once. You want side missions? You've got a city full of them. Which doesn't mean it's a great game. Just good and solid. [Issue#323]

    Not being content with being one of the most soulless products released under the Warner Bros. label, it is also extremely underwhelming from a technical point of view. Gotham Knights was originally developed as a multi-gen title, but PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions got cancelled. Despite this, the visuals underwhelm and fail to impress and manage to look worse than the last major Batman instalment released seven years prior. Capping at a mere 30fps might be excusable if this boasted the most cutting edge visuals on the market, but it manages to look cheap and dated. For a AAA production from Warner Bros., this should have been a visual tour de force, with top writing talent, and have evolved the gameplay to compete with its contemporaries. Maybe it can be salvaged over time with updates, but currently it's one of the most droll and sloppily designed triple-A products of 2022.

    Gotham Knights would be a great game, its sandbox approach to exploring Gotham is top-notch and its story keeps you just engaged enough to keep playing. The problem lies in the game’s lackluster combat and endless fighting cycles of beating up the same factions over and over and over with little to no variation to dialogue.
