    Gotham Knights is a good, fun game. Not sure if it’s been patched heavily between the critical reviews at release and now but it feels many are jumping against this game for no reason. Pre-release, there was a huge negative response to the fact this game is 30fps however I find the game plays well and cannot see any issue with the frame rate. I was looking to get this game prior to release however the reviews put me off. I’m not massively into Batman so felt all the positive reviews were just fans sticking up for the game however I ended up buying this game on back Friday for £30 which I think is fair.

    I’d like to feel like the Batcycle has a bit more to it. It feels almost pedestrian whilst riding. The combat was slated in reviews but I have no issue with it. Do I think this is Game of the Year? No. Do I think this is a fun, chilled game that I can dib in and out of? Yes. Not yet tried co-op but heard good things from a friend.    … Expand

    You all know the praise don't knock it till you have tried it. That is a great saying for this game everyone is giving it a zero just because of 30 fps, but if it were to have more then graphics would not be as good. It also has a pretty cool story and fun combat. This game I would recommend if you are looking for a fun game to play.

    The game is a grind, it makes you work for literally anything you want. It can be tedious but I like it, I feel like I am always working towards something. Yah it running at 30fps is sad but the game in my opinion looks good. The city is what I like the best, I see life in it and I like that. The game isn't game of the year, it is a good game.     Enjoyable coop experience with great takes on lovable villains, a good story and fluid combat. There are some odd things with how the grappling hook targets perches and how you sometimes get a bit stuck on top of the perch and need to jerk around a bit to get loose. I have had no framerate issues. It doesn't try to be an Arkham game, so why are people comparing them?     Very enjoyable Batman game!

    For those who think the combat isn’t as hard hitting as the Arkham games, remember to upgrade your gear after every patrol: the game throws loads of new blueprints, materials and mods at you. That’ll keep you punching hard. Do the Knighthood challenges early to unlock unique traversal modes, they’re fun and make getting around the city easier.

    If you like the Batman Mythos, this is a game you should, at the very least, give a try to.
    The 4 characters are interesting, and have their own playstyle, albeit very similar in combat.
    The world is HUGE and fun to explore once you get a secondary traversal method. The enemies, while generic, are fun to take on, and even stealth is enjoyable to me. I won't lie and say this game is    If you like the Batman Mythos, this is a game you should, at the very least, give a try to.

    I won't lie and say this game is without flaws however.

    The crafting system seems like it was just thrown in to give you something to do, but it is fun to play with and create new costumes.

    The combat is definitely repetitive, but its a Batman game so I can give it a pass.

    The lack of the iconic gadgets does reduce your ability to truly step into the shoes of the 4 heroes, but it doesn't take it completely away.

    I look at this as, maybe like Arkham Asylum, they are testing new ground, want to make more in the franchise, and expand later.

    It's also supposed to be they are taking over from Batman after he destroyed the Batcave and everything in it, so that might include most of his tech, which would explain why they don't have the same gadgets.

    Overall I don't understand the hate, and reading other reviews it seems everyone is focused on Graphics instead of Gameplay.
    In fact, most of the Negative Reviews I've read are all about the FPS and Graphics.

    The city is beautiful, iconic landmarks dot the skyline and several places are just fun to go look at.
    The story, so far, is enjoyable to me, and I'm already developing theories about iconic villains that could appear, but again, like Arkham Asylum, they might be tipping the iceberg to expand in another game later.

    Overall this is a solid entry that brings some new ideas to the table, but maybe could have learned from their own lore and made sure to focus on the things that make the Arkham games great.

    At the end of the day I think the game is fun and enjoyable, and I like coming up with ways to take down thugs from stealth, or panic them so they start looking around for me to lure them in for a takedown.

    the fast paced combat is also a lot of fun to me.

If anything this game feels a lot more similar to Spiderman PS4. The combat is fun, every character has their own personality and abilities. The dialogue is alright, kind of cringey sometimes.     The game is actually quite fun. It doesn't get a 10 cause obviously it doesn't deserve it but it's a solid 8/10 for me. Some things feel like a chore, eg trying to complete the same quests for all characters but if you don't like them you can just skip it. At the end you will find the character /playstyle you prefer and stick with that.

    Performance is 30 fps. I am mostly a pc gamer so 60 is what I want. However, with the patches it has received, it is stable 30 and maybe it's the VRR that helps but looks super smooth.
    Don't spend 70-80€ or $ for it but on a sale if you find it 40 and lower it will be worth it.    … Expand

The 4 new protagonists, however, let us experience what it means to be a protector in Gotham now that the dark knight is gone.

    The characters have a huge range of customisation and development, including skills and special abilities. Combat abilities vary from close to range abilities, with a couple of fun twists here and there, all unique to the individual characters.

    The navigation through the city also varies from character to character, although everyone can use the batcycle.

    Overall it's a very fun and engaging experience, which I highly recommend.    … Expand

    Very fun game, people complain about refresh rate and buggy. I have played through the game 3 times and countless hours of side quests and very rarely ran into a bug. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but tot game is fun and most gripes are about refresh rate not actual game play.

    Ez egy közepese játék nem érdemel 10 ponot. De 4.8 pontot se. El lehet szórakozni vele unalom üzőnek jó. Arkham gamekhez képest nagyon más a harcrendszere nekem batman harcrendszer jobban tetszik. A boss fightot jobban élvezem mint az arkham gamekbe. Nekem nem tűnt fel hogy 30fps a game. PS5 jól van optimizálva. 1 bug volt az se volt vészes.

    This game got a lot of hate at launch. Rightfully so. The framerate on PS5 was downright abysmal and took all the fun out of the game. I went home for a month or so and didn't have my PS5. I came back to several updates and the game runs great. There are still some flaws (why no jump button?!?!) but the game is really good.     Started slow and limited combat and just moving around the city sucked. I fell for the bad reviews and shelved the game. Finished GOWR and played it again. Turns out if you are looking for immediate greatness and have patience it's a pretty great game. The better combat comes from the momentum moves and the movement around the city comes from knighthood. Beating up gangs and finding new suit and weapon upgrades keeps you engaged. Maybe if the 4-player, Heroic Assault mode was available at launch, the reception would be more positive but I guess the devs were not ready.Once you accept it's not an Arkham-style game it's very fun.     The game is not bad and serves you a lot. You want a hero? You have four. Want big missions? Usually you have about three going at once. You want side missions? You've got a city full of them. Which doesn't mean it's a great game. Just good and solid. [Issue#323]

    Not being content with being one of the most soulless products released under the Warner Bros. label, it is also extremely underwhelming from a technical point of view. Gotham Knights was originally developed as a multi-gen title, but PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions got cancelled. Despite this, the visuals underwhelm and fail to impress and manage to look worse than the last major Batman instalment released seven years prior. Capping at a mere 30fps might be excusable if this boasted the most cutting edge visuals on the market, but it manages to look cheap and dated. For a AAA production from Warner Bros., this should have been a visual tour de force, with top writing talent, and have evolved the gameplay to compete with its contemporaries. Maybe it can be salvaged over time with updates, but currently it's one of the most droll and sloppily designed triple-A products of 2022.

    Gotham Knights would be a great game, its sandbox approach to exploring Gotham is top-notch and its story keeps you just engaged enough to keep playing. The problem lies in the game’s lackluster combat and endless fighting cycles of beating up the same factions over and over and over with little to no variation to dialogue.
