    10/10. Highly recommended! One of the best cinematic fight scenes I've ever seen in my life. The story is also great. There were few issues such as the lower difficulty and some lack of character dev/screentime, but otherwise was fantastic. Will win the GOTY 2023 hopefully. Waiting for the DLC now.

    The sheer perfection behind the controls and gameplay of this game can't be simply described with words. The tension you feel in each combat, the engrossing story, sublime music. Tears of the Kingdom has met it's rival for this year's game awards.

    This game was crazy. I loved every second of it.... great gameplay, great visuals but most importantly i felt like they made a FF with a lovely story and great characters again.... This is the second best game in the franchise for me right behind FF X.

    My GOTY. A great adventure with a great story and surprisingly a great romance. Epic battles with references and callbacks to popular franchises like Attack on Titan, Devil May Cry, DragonballZ etc. The story explores a variety of themes which brought me to tears at times. I didn't think it possible but it's now my favorite Final Fantasy of all time.

    Final fantasy is the first game I've played in the series. Since the demo that released a few days prior, I have been extremely hooked on it. This game has been one of my favorite games to play this year so far and has been living up to the hype I had since playing the demo. From the characters, to the backround music, to the Eikon skills, and Boss fights, this game has truly been aFinal fantasy is the first game I've played in the series. My only 2 complaints are how many cutscenes there are, and how long they can be at times and the motion blur is a bit disoreniting at times. Other than that, I have truly enjoyed this game.

    The game is certainly awesome but far from being perfect and it pains me because i'm a huge FF fan.
    The quests are just horrendous, despite the stories behind them being interesting (sometimes). The gameplay is very responsive, flashy and satisfactory however, it can get old pretty quickly. Nevertheless, i would call it a must play. The game could be a GOTY contender    Okay, let's be clear.

    Historia incrivel , combate sensacional que vai divertir players casuais , mais vai brilhar na mão de players avançados que curtem uns combos mad . O conteudo segundario poderia ser melhor, porem não afetou minha experiencia . Ja considero um dos melhores jogos que joguei .

FF16 is my new favorite Final Fantasy game. This has the best story of any FF game and maybe the best story of any stand-alone game. The main faults are that it's very linear and the combat starts off a bit slow.10 out of 10! This game is a masterpiece! I have played every Final Fantasy game (not including MMOs) after FF7.     I really liked the part when old fans got owned by modern game mechanics. But no, in all seriousness, i'm actually really happy that this is what FF is now and will likely win GOTY. Best part is that these old "fans" can't do absolutely anything about it. This actually gives me hope that there's still hope for future of video games. Innovation is always the key.

    So many terrible decisions gameplay wise. The combat is fun until you realize you can beat every enemy the exact same way. No status ailments. No element weaknesses. Far to many cutscenes for a boring story.

    Genuinely a terrible game in almost every aspect. It's all flash and no substance with bad writing made worse by some of the worst pacing issues in any media. I'm putting a zero because I fully believe this game is not worth playing, and a month after beating it I have not thought about it a single time other than right now to check if the hype died down yet and people came to their senses.

    El 25% de las misiones principales están muy bien. Es una lástima que el otro 75% sean puro relleno. Las misiones secundarias son 100% puro relleno.
    El juego con más relleno al que he jugado.
    Las batallas con los jefes tienen secciones en las que controlas al Eikon en el aire. Pura basura. Lo poco bueno que tiene es un plagio de Tales of Arise.     A good action videogame... but sadly a really bad RPG. And for me that is the reason why it becomes one of the worst games in the main saga.

    The combat system is easy and very simple and the plot has a great start but after Cid's death and the introduction of one of the worst villains in the saga, it loses quality and pace.

    There are no towns or memorable locations, the exploration is terrible and the quests are bored except for the last ones.

    Not all is bad, Clive is a good main character, and we have the best Cid, in the saga, the soundtrack is top and the eikon boss fighs are crazy, Bayonetta style.

    Like i say, a good narrative (and easy) action hack'n'slash game, but and horrible RPG.    … Expand

    And this is sadly depressing, since even yoshiP prefer build a generic and forgettable action dmc clone game with some of the worst gameplay ever
    A huge disaster that isn't worth your time and money

    Eu sou fã da franquia de décadas. E digo com convicção pois acabei de platinar o 16, esse foi o FF mais chato de todos. Simplesmente acabaram com a magia do jogo. Gameplay repetitivo, sem nave pra voar ou mapa para explorar. É um bom jogo, apenas isso.

    The whole game play was a wonderful experience!! Combat was great, summon beast fight was the best boss fights ever. Yet the plot in the late game, weapons system and ability really got rooms to improve.

    -Over the Top Eikon Fights are a nice spectable, really well designed cinematic wise -Like the Idea of the active time lore -Soundtrack overall very strong, like expected of a ff as a fan Neutral -Going for a dark and mature Story, and trys to deliever it. -Framerate goes down few times, Grafik and Animations sometimes topnotch    Pro:

    Negativ:
    -Combat in my opinion get repetetiv, especially against standart mobs and repeatable Minibosses.
    -Story has not hooked me sadly, missing a lot a full fleshed out Party, more memorable Characters, i didn´t connected really with the World.
    -I would prefere the Game would offer more Itemvarity/usefull Items and Gear, even if its a actrion-rpg now, hoped it would not dropped all those aspects beforehand.
    -Would have liked more good designed sidecontent, like more postgame quests, hidden areas or superbosses instead of a ng+ replay.
    -The World and Area fells somehow lifeless (not much going on), missing too more "big" citys. Often a highlight in Jrpg for me.

    For what i am looking, this Final Fantasy has sadly many for me imortant points missed.
    The Story and trip saved it for me, at least i got in some Characters more attached after time and had some surprising twists, that im here for personally.    … Expand

I wish Clive had more special attacks that he can unlock. The Eikon battles are the highlight of the game but the actual combat with Ifrit leaves a lot to be desired because he only has his 4 hit combo and a couple of other special abilities. It’s got really boring mashing square for 20 minutes during Eikon battles. I hated returning to the Hideaway after Eikon battles because that’s when the boredom begins. Talking to the same NPCs over and over and over again. Doing mundane tasks for them. I was bored out of my mind. The side quests are the worst. Just the most basic of basic things the devs could think of. Kill monsters, collect dirt, find some guys mail, pick plants for someone. The better side quests don’t reveal themselves until the end of the game and by that time I had made a habit of skipping the repetitive dialogue. And it doesn’t help that the dialogue during the less important moments in the game are presented in the most uninteresting style possible in a game. Just talking heads going back and forth. Just the worst. Exploration and itemization in this game is just nonexistent. I’m not sure why but the game feels like I need 1000 pieces of a crafting item called a “sharp fang”. I always knew that my exploration to the far corners of the map would just lead to that stupid sharp fang. Only a handful of times will you actually find something that’s worth exploring for like a weapon or a piece of armor. It seems so shoehorned in. The game should have just been a complete action game without any of the piss poor RPG elements. Clive kills all the interesting characters and all that’s left is boring Ultima. One of the worst antagonists in a Final Fantasy game. Overall this game just lacks the charm and heart of past Final Fantasy games. I don’t even care about the game not being turn based. FF7R wasn’t turn based and it handled combat and party management well. This game just throws it all out the window. I really hope this isn’t the future of Final Fantasy. I really REALLY wanted to like this game but the spectacle wasn’t enough to save it for me.… Expand

    This game is the best in the series undisputed, and it is of high quality in terms of cinematic scenes and epic music, which is an identity that indicates Final Fantasy. The style of play is simple and devoid of complications. As for confronting the bosses, it is the best in terms of cinematography and music.

Incoherent graphics, poor narrative (it's a game that tells a story, it's the most important aspect and they throw it overboard). The gameplay is boring, repetitive and not very involving, except for a few moments. This game leaves me with the feeling that Square Enix wanted to put a sick dose of sugar in cinematics andI had a lot of faith in this game but again final fantasy disappoints. Incoherent graphics, poor narrative (it's a game that tells a story, it's the most important aspect and they throw it overboard). The gameplay is boring, repetitive and not very involving, except for a few moments.     totk just came out and i already have 450 hrs on just 48 percent of the game.

    Un mal rendimiento puede convertir una obra de arte en una puta mierda injugable. Y este ha sido el caso de Final Fantasy XVI. Un título con un diseño espectacular y un combate demoledor destrozado por su propio rendimiento atroz. No sólo viene con una resolución mediocre para los tiempos que corren sino también con un frame drop infumable. Su modo rendimiento es tan malo y está tan malUn mal rendimiento puede convertir una obra de arte en una puta mierda injugable. Y este ha sido el caso de Final Fantasy XVI. Un título con un diseño espectacular y un combate demoledor destrozado por su propio rendimiento atroz. No sólo viene con una resolución mediocre para los tiempos que corren sino también con un frame drop infumable. Su modo rendimiento es tan malo y está tan mal optimizado que lo hacen intragable. Las caídas de la tasa son inaceptables y el motor no sabe mantener ni de broma los 60fps estables que debería. No hay por donde cogerlo. Es una mierda de build la del lanzamiento. Viendo a obras maestras como Forbidden West o el Ragnarok, mucho más complejos que este, visualmente superiores y con un rendimiento excelente en PS5, demuestran que aquí Square Enix no ha estado al nivel de la consola ni mucho menos. No ha dado la talla.

    Final Fantasy XVI es basura como programa y no está en condiciones de ser vendido. Quien niegue esto es directamente un necio, como medios comprados e incompetentes regalando 9s y 10s a diestro y siniestro. O no tienen ojos en la cara o no saben ni de lo que cojones hablan. Y hay que decirlo bien alto para que se enteren tras explotarles en la frente: El rendimiento es el 50% de una obra y la build de lanzamiento de Final Fantasy XVI es inaceptable por ello. Ahora que Square Enix se ponga a trabajar en serio para arreglarlo que buena falta le hace. Es lo que deben hacer y rápido. No sea que ya no tenga salvación por tardar demasiado.    … Expand

    Final Fantasy XVI is an excellent game in every way. If you're a fan of the series for the stories and characters, you won't go wrong here, and if you've avoided the series for, say, turn-based combat, the sixteenth installment offers the perfect opportunity to get started with this legend of the gaming industry. [Issue#329]

    New numbered FFs are good again. Stunning to look at, with new, punchy combat, and a great yarn, it is, if anything, too focussed, lacking a bit of the weird. [Issue#30, p.78]
