    Good game. Can't just abuse pace like the last few FIFA games. Liking the new FUT Moments mode. Would've been nice to have 1 more FIFA Journey with Alex Hunter before the "FIFA" series finishes up.

    The game is decent and undeservedly hated. The only thing that annoys me a lot is fouls, they are way too soft and inconsistent. Also the corners were better before.

    Looks good on next gen. Player carrier can be better, FUT is amazing.

    The a.i is totally brain dead. Controls are sluggish and your players will do absolutely stupid things. The defending ai especially will do almost nothing unless you are controlling. This is not and not a realistic simulation of football. Because of rng, players will often make bafflingly amateurish passes that do not feel to fairly correspond with input.     The worst iteration of Fifa ever! From a gameplay perspective, just garbage. Lazy developers more focused on in game purchases than the game itself. Here's some broken features.

    • Refereeing logic is inconsistent and moronic. Incorrect penalty decisions, flawed advantage and idiotic decision making in general. Definitely the worst seen in any Fifa. • Pin Ball Simulator- Tackle animations    The worst iteration of Fifa ever! From a gameplay perspective, just garbage. Lazy developers more focused on in game purchases than the game itself. Here's some broken features.

    • Refereeing logic is inconsistent and moronic. Incorrect penalty decisions, flawed advantage and idiotic decision making in general. Definitely the worst seen in any Fifa. • Pin Ball Simulator- Tackle animations consistently lead to the ball going back to attackers. As do blocks and interceptions which often fail in critical situations. The ball is more slippery than a bar of soap in a prison shower. • Broken defensive AI - Defenders run backwards constantly leaving a huge gap to the midfield. Midfielders do not track back. If you play a high line to counter this issue, there's an auto offside trap activated randomly without logic or reason. •Player Switching and manual defending - Just a horrible system that rarely works in any version of Fifa. Trying to use either is a stressful experience. • A one-dimensional, predictable meta, set up for counter attacking and sprint trigger merchants. Using any form of possession outside of spamming through balls using direct passing is going to be a painful experience. •limited gameplay modes within FUT, generally making the experience repetitive and boring. •Kick off glitch - Anyone who has played Fifa knows what I'm talking about. •Broken corner logic - defensive AI force's players to sit inside they're own box rather than pushing out.

    •Broken keeper animations - often leads to goals scored where a keeper reacts incorrectly to the situation. For example, running past the ball or diving the wrong way. • Frequent Kit clashes in FUT unless you select your home and away kits. • Over powered AI assisted pressure tactics which break attacking Player mechanics and animations. Works even with depleted stamina and leaves opponent with no passing options •PC Cheats impacting Cross play •Practice mode broken - No first person perspective on free kicks • Step Over Speed boost overpowered The list could go on and on.     They make so many mistakes, like releasing hero pack for 25k and taking it off after 20 minutes. Its just not fare and it keeps happening all the time. Also the gameplay still has alot of problems

    The acceleration is even more egregious, my players need at least 2-3 seconds to start doing anything. All rival players always achive max speed instantly. Rival CB are even crazier, max speed in one direction, made a 180º turn and instanly max speed again. My CB look like a train trying to change direction, needs several meters just to stop.
    It looks like the rival defenders intercept a lot of balls, but the true is the game just makes your player pass the ball to the opponent.
    The ai is constantly making faults but the refery does not care, you make a clean tackle inside your area, penalty.
    Your defenders controlled by the ai are constantly opening spaces for the rival.
    All rebounds are for the ai players. You can't even try, your players freeze until the ai team has de ball.
    in the same game a pass with almost no power goes far away and the next one a full power pass stops after 5 o 6 meters. This happens especially when the ai players make a strong pressure, all your full power passes fall short.
    The goalkeeper constantly concedes goals from balls that go to his body. Make some weird animation and falls liike someone has shoot him.
    When the game doesn't want you to score it's just impossible. Every shot goes to the middle. One on one situations, you make a shot or dribble and your player decides he needs 2 o 3 more steps before obeying you. Te keeper or a defender just rush you.
    The gameplay is only better the last games of the season if there's nothing at stake. If you need to win the last matches to win the league or a tournament, the cheating just go crazy.
    When the ai tackles you, they just activates an animation that makes your player unresponsive while the ai player goes like a cannonball to the ball. If you play a lot of games, sometimes they activate that whith the player to far, and you can see the ai player that is 10 meters away just flying over the field and making the perfect tackle. Literally flying, with one step he covers 10 meters.

    A gameplay like this sucks even if you win games, the game feel horrible and you contantly feel cheated.

    I make mistakes, but if when i try to correct a bad game decision I can't even control my players because they need 2-3 seconds to start doing something or need another 2-5 seconds just to select the player I want, or my defenders start running toward the bands to open spaces to the ai players, even if the play started by my mistake I feel cheated. The ai didn't need that to score but it does, because it is programmed to play like this.

    And the press conferences are incredibly stupid.
    I am in the last games fighting to win the league and they ask me if I think I will avoid relegation.
    Or ask me about my bad results the last games after a streak of several victories.
    Also ask me if I will manage to remain undefeated when I have already lost a game that season.    … Expand

    Theres know other football game to play besides FIFA so even if you like it or not either buy it now or wait for the discount next year why because pes this year half the teams are in the game

    I enjoy every detail they put on this game. Eventhough theres not much new about it, but they put next gen graphic in there, so it is much demanding than previous series.

    Has nothing to do with football anymore. Too fast paced, games always finish with 10 or more goals, which is completely unrealistic. This is because the game is online focused, they made it like this so a match is never truly over, even if you're winning or losing 3-0. Not a simulation at all.

Square play never gets intercepted even when you position your player to intercept it. I honestly cannot name one single thing good about this game. Not one single thing they got right. This game turns ny best of days into the saddest most frustrating days in just two matches. F**k off EA for charging $100 for this and I will never buy an EA game again… Expand

Basically everything from graphics to gameplay didn't change a bit including all errors and problems. There are so many bugs and a ridiculous amount of framerate drops. This is particularly shameful if you remember that games like Horizon: Forbidden West orAfter 4 a pause I bought Fifa 23 since it will be the last FIFA Game. The "good" thing is: everything still looks exactly the same. Basically everything from graphics to gameplay didn't change a bit including all errors and problems. There are so many bugs and a ridiculous amount of framerate drops. This is particularly shameful if you remember that games like Horizon: Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarök run flawlessly on the PS5.     mir machts spaß und das Gameplay ist bis jetzt auch ganz okey.
    Wenn man FIFA holt darf man auch nicht erwarten das im nächsten FIFA aufeinmal alles komplett anders ist.

    It's just a copy and paste, the only 2 big changes they make for this game r, 1st the name change from fifa 22 to fifa 23, 2nd price increase to $70. Everything is the same. I feel sorry for ppl who only play pro club, getting excited and pay $70 to play literally same shiit over and over.

The only thing EA cares about is FUT FIFA Ultimate Team and to sell kids and teenagers packs, packs and more packs. EA tries to market it and belittle concerns saying this is merely "surprise mechanics" but there is several research papers that show that this can lead to compulsive gambling and I have heard numerous first hand stories of people saying they know people that actually spend way too much on games like these that are being sold to 0+ - children and teenagers. The industry tries to lie to us and tries to picture them as rich people, while the "whales" - the people spent the most are - same as with real gambling addicts that are addicted to e.g. slot machines - rather poor people that fall victim to these predatory in game lootboxes. It is no coincidence that in Belgium and the Netherlands EA has been banned from selling packs in game in FIFA.… Expand

    It's still the most fun soccer (And probably sports) game out there, I've barely played Ultimate Team, but the career mode and the rest of the modes are good, with good AI, nice animations and the successful implementation of HyperMotion technology

    Servers have never been worse with the new crossplay, you can be login blocked on one account but login on to 4 other accounts for several hours. The market barely works at times... The whole UI is just    Mainly play Ultimate Team, nothing new to the game besides some game moments activity. The gameplay is worse than ever. Nothing new regarding Career Mode and every other game mode.

    Too much random rubbish in the gameplay. Keepers are terrible. Dive out the way for balls that are hit straight at them. AI is incredibly unintelligent. There are times when all AI defenders are standing still. Also strikers standing 5m in an offside position. Rebounds ruin the game. I put hours into a career mode only for it to be wiped. Glad this is the last year.

    3 weeks in and the game still dosen't save progress. Every time you launch the game on PS5 it's like a brand new game where you have to accept user agreement, choose your favourite team, AI difficulty and etc. Dosen't save your progress in the new feature "Training Central" nor in Skill games, haven't been bothered to check if the game saves your career files. Save yourself the money and3 weeks in and the game still dosen't save progress.     And the thing I hate the most are unfortunate accounts: it's not possible that in years and years of FIFA I have never released a valuable player, opening hundreds and hundreds of packs every season, while people end up with duplicates of Mbappe and Ronaldo, icons, endless special cards.

    At the time of writing this review, the latest update made Nunez bald (looks like Jonjo Shelvey now) which makes me believe that the developers had no interest at all in detail and just wanted to put something together to sell and put their lazy feet up. The commentary is still the same, drab and unintuitive. Another waste of money if you care about it and honestly EA needs to actually stop this piss poor development and and be serious. Changing the formation and the player instructions does next to nothing to the way the players act or perform. I haven't tried the online in any shape. Scripting has ruined this game. It hasn't been a good game for a long time but this particular instalment is not worth a single penny of your money. Do not buy it. Do not give them money for coins in game.     Be ready to have Bald players everywhere, to face online rich kids who gambles on loot boxes and broken game modes other than their FUT which is the only one they care about.

    Just made an account to say don’t buy!!! Game is garbage and ea does the opposite to fix it. New updates but **** game. Gameplay is slow just straight up bad. I may not be the best player but come on you know when a game is bad or not and fifa 23 showed that it’s a bad game. Save your money don’t buy. Wish I’ve done that

    first of all, EA does not have a customer support, all the questions point to some quiz, some are investigated but I have not seen once they are even trying to help, the same goes for their twitter customer so-called support, if you have any sort of problem do not waste time with EA, they just copy paste the same messages.     1)I had a problem with game not launching, my case was auto closed with some link to quiz/faq
    2) I had a problem with some expensive players being wiped out, my case was ignored and random message we apologize but we can't do nothing, its always the same "we apologize but we cannot do nothing, have a great day". So you buy this game or anything else from EA and you are on your own, just so you know

    as for the game, this is the same exact game with exactly same GUI and updated teams

    One thing is that there is a lot of sbc content, but unfortunately the grind for it resembles going to work and not fun, from what I see its almost the same every year

    the community is super toxic, which is understandable given weird mechanics and magical scoring opportunities happening at 45' and 90' minutes, players loosing their pace and attributes all of sudden and so one, it can be seen with naked eyes

    overall the game makes me angry, nervous and anxious, it's a very toxic and exhausting experience, I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemies, I would need to deeply hate someone to recommend fifa

    The trading gambling system makes it so you need to invest real money into the game to be able to win with all those tots, icons et cetera, without it is like driving a fiat to beat a ferrari, yes you can do that but imagine how that feels

    overall this gambling system paired with zero customer support should be illegal, I wonder why the government or police is not doing anything    … Expand

    150 hours of play. I can now give my opinion. EA gets excited about Real Madrid. It is an impossible team to beat and it is impossible to lose when you occupy that team. I have played against that team in the Seasons game mode and it is laughable how the team's players let balls pass or situations that are out of logic. However, when I control Real Madrid it's like playing super easy, I'm150 hours of play. I can now give my opinion. EA gets excited about Real Madrid. It is an impossible team to beat and it is impossible to lose when you occupy that team. It has good graphics and it is fun to play however there is a serious lack on innovation in these games. If your upgrading from some old Fifa then this game is worth it but if you already have Fifa 21 or 22 then just keep those ones. It's basically the same thing. The only thing they achieve with this is your frustration at the game, and the relief in the fact that you pirated this **** trash. Secondly, nobody in your team runs with you to the rival area when you're racing down undefended, leaving you alone with the defense trailing behind you and the keeper in front of you. It's like they're just watching you play. And even if they run down with (in the few cases they do), passing the ball is useless because your teammates can't for **** sake jump to get and air ball or put their foot a centimeter in front of their defender. I can get a raspberry pi and a monitor and make a better AI in the time I take a **** Finally, the absolute bafoon controls. Sometimes you're undefended and onside and press "Y" to get a trough ball from your teammate, but if you do that just a single frame after your mate passes it to you, your character will automatically pass it along to the front, wasting the opportunity and giving it to the other team. This is game design 101. If you have the same buttons mapped to different functionalities, you cannot have those two functionalities overlap suddenly during in-game time. Who had the **** idea? Please fire that idiot.

    Overall, this franchise has been the same since FIFA 13 and will remain so as long as EA keeps selling copies to all those **** idiots that buy it year in, year out. Please either pirate this absolute doodoo game or just call your friends and go play football outside.    … Expand

    FIFA 23 is perfectly serviceable, the gluttony of FIFA fans won't find much to complain about. Truth be told, the formula is so one-dimensional that it is hard to get wrong after iterating on the same product year after year. Subtle tweaks to gameplay do mix things up, but not enough has been done to refresh the modes on offer. Either EA are out of ideas, or they are storing them up for their next game in their new franchise. Anyone looking a football game in 2023 though should certainly stick with the tried and tested FIFA.

    If better hair physics is what you were hoping for when it comes to the new edition of FIFA – you’re in luck! The hair looks gorgeous now. But as for the other, more important things we need, it is the same as always. It takes a bit of improvement and a lot to pay for it.
