    Same,same... returned day after purchase, scriptings back along with no defence, no pace, goalkeeping errors, constant injury time goals, terrible shooting mechanics, ridiculous amounts of microtransactions pushed down you throat constantly, most cards earnt can't be resold and are worth nothing, corporate greed at its worst. Typical EA trash.

Players feel sluggish, passing has a mind of it own, finishing is decent, camera glitches, goalkeeper hit boxes disappear from time to time and if you don't put money in you can forget about competing in FUT, they have ripped the soul out of football games.

    It's just not fun anymore, thankfully with EA losing the FIFA license, we may end up with a real football game. EA you will not be missed.

    Best advice: Save your money and buy a pet, sure it will urinate and crap everywhere like EA but at least it will learn, change, grow and feel part of the family - leaving you with that money well spent feeling.    … Expand

    This game wasn't finished when it was released, i got no doubt about it, the sluggish and sloppy gameplay and unbalanced physics proves it. Tradable sbcs were removed so that game becomes even more pay to win. EA never has a sympathy for players, the only thing they care about is their own pockets.

    Easily the worst Fifa game I've ever played, and I've been playing for 20 odd years. How they can make a game this unresponsive and sluggish on the most powerful game console to ever exist is beyond me. It's not the speed of the play that is the problem, it's the fact that the players you control take an age to do what you tell them to do. It's like playing via voice command.     3rd straight year that I can't play FUT from Turkey, because of the latency issues. It is nearly impossible to play if the ping is higher than 35ms, and this year it is always between 40-50.

    Can play volta/seasons without any issues that tells me fut servers are insufficient. Make a 10 dollar version if you won't supply us with the FUT service. Disgrace.

    They have somehow taken the fun out of a once fun game. I understand things change but the fact this game basically plays like basketball is too far. The idea now is to pass pass pass pass and tap it in the net. Dribbling and pace are pointless as they do not work. I just want to have fun and I’m winning every game I play and am left so unsatisfied after each match.

    Although there are a few new features and some of the graphics have been upgraded most if not all of the bugs of the previous games have made their way over to this game and yet again most of it is copy pasted with the only mode that gets attention being the FUT mode where it is pay to win gambling. how it is rated for 3 and up with gambling included is beyond me. You can be the best player in the world, you can be winning 4:0 and you will loose 6 goals in a row in 15 min because every single straight pass will come through your defence. LITERALLY THROUGH the legs of your defence. You will get nutmegs, your defenders will hit each other, they will pass straight to your opponent even if you aim in the other direction. THIS IS PATHETIC.

Players look worse, feel more like boats than actual athletes and the ai is just programmed to act like a complete sweat fifa teenager. I was only interested in playing some offline matches in career mode but the ai is so incredibly overpowered on even Legendary and dog **** on World Class, it does not makeFirst Fifa for me since 17 and the game has just regressed in every imaginable way.     The passing is completely broken as it will not go where it's intended to, even with proper power and direction inputs. Trivela, yes, trivela, one of the hard skills to master in real football now is being used everywhere in Fifa 23. Shooting, crossing and even ground passing, people are now using trivela everywhere! You heard it right, EVERYWHERE!!! And did I mention the horrendous servers of EA yet, which always cause lag and delay in most of the games? This year the lag compensation went another big step ahead and prevented all good setup to have a smooth game play. Got a PS5 with exclusive 1Gpbs wired connection, cool, but your players will never move as you expected, it's all muddy and clunky, extremely unplayable. Just don't trust their marketing brochures and videos, they're all fake. Hypermotion 2 is totally fake on new gen. We can't control the players at all as they give extra touches out of nowhere, while unable to do a simple turn without going a long way chasing the ball. When the gameplay is fast and responsive for you, the issue seems minor, but when it becomes horrible with lag and delay, you'll feel it, as of now when everyone I know is complaining of EA servers. Check reddit and see how the world is talking about this **** game.
    I made a mistake buying this game and I regret it. Just don't buy this game as it's not fun at all. Spend your quality time with your family and friends, not this game. EA will be EA, they're like war: war, war never changes!    … Expand

    In the end, the upsides far outweigh the downsides or omissions, and the creators' concentration on improving the modes that earn the most money is logical. As a whole, however, the game works well. [Issue#324]

    FIFA 23 is perfectly serviceable, the gluttony of FIFA fans won't find much to complain about. Truth be told, the formula is so one-dimensional that it is hard to get wrong after iterating on the same product year after year. Subtle tweaks to gameplay do mix things up, but not enough has been done to refresh the modes on offer. Either EA are out of ideas, or they are storing them up for their next game in their new franchise. Anyone looking a football game in 2023 though should certainly stick with the tried and tested FIFA.

    If better hair physics is what you were hoping for when it comes to the new edition of FIFA – you’re in luck! The hair looks gorgeous now. But as for the other, more important things we need, it is the same as always. It takes a bit of improvement and a lot to pay for it.
