    The best FIFA of all time. The graphics are insane. The gameplay just needs a few tweaks, but in the general it's great.

    Saving the best for last, FIFA 23 the last game in the franchise is also the best one. Finally it's a game requiring smartness, skill and timing with smooth animations and realistic momentum. Don't get lost by the reviewbombing last gen dweebs who are stuck in the FIFA 13 meta and never have been able to master a game. For once EA actually did a good job.

    Me gusta esta tecnología HYPERMOTION2 bien aprovechada en la PS5; dando una fluidez y mejor jugabilidad. El apartado Grafico se ve muy bien sobre todo el césped luce muy real.

    Good game. Can't just abuse pace like the last few FIFA games. Liking the new FUT Moments mode. Would've been nice to have 1 more FIFA Journey with Alex Hunter before the "FIFA" series finishes up.

    The new sprint mechanics make the game feel more dynamic than previous iterations of FIFA. The change of speed with each player adds a new level of tactical play and finally allows for slower players to be used. The new power shot is an amazing mechanic that helps score when outside the box, specially when the opposition is parking the bus.     The last game before FIFA finds a new developer is very solid. FIFA 23 is a very good game and a nice setup for the next beginning in which FIFA must choose the right developer for a good start.

    Much better that the last part, new cutscenes are insane and bring realistic atmosphere to a game. Game menu also improved and became much better looking. Graphics didnt change much, but gameplay became better looking!

    The ones who gave it a bad score have either: never played it or lost a match and came to complain. The game is slower because it seems more "realistic". While not revolutionary, it is a nice update.

I have been playing several football games regularly for years and my favourite football games of all time are, Fifa 10, 15, Iss pro evo 2, sensible soccer, Pes 6 and Pes 15. As you can see, for the past 7 years I haven't really loved a football game. As you can see, for the past 7 years I haven't really loved a football game. The main reason for this was because Pes moved over to Efootball and Fifa was a children game. YES a children game you heard that right. The problem with Fifa has been that it was too unrealistic for the past couple of years. Reason being that the best football players had no chance in Fifa, I'm talking about your Karim Benzema, Lewandowski or Thiago Silva in defence or Pavard, Casemiro, Busquets, these players had no chance purely because the game was heavy pace based, this is very unrealistic! As if Ruben Dias has no chance when he is playing against Dembélé when clearly he does! Yes, pace is still there in the game to be found at moments, and that's why Ea found the perfect balance in years! This actually feels like an update! Humanity is very weird, they want change as they are sick and tired of playing the same game and I agree with that, Fifa has been the same for years with minor tweaks here and there. But it's unbelievable that Ea choose for the 2 most important elements of football to be key! Which is the passing game and defence. These 2 parts were very lacking in the previous years of Fifa. When you watch a match, you don't see a player beating 7 players all the time with over the top skills and pace to beat every player there is. These are moments and when these moments happen in Fifa 23, they make your jaw drop! The elements that you see most in a match is passing and how to break defence, it's the setup you choose of pressing or not pressing. This is all perfected in this Fifa. This review is not FUT based as I don't play FUT because of the difference in gameplay, because of the microtransaction etc. For me seasons and pro clubs is most important, and I can be delighted to say that EA has added Volta Football with Pro clubs which is lovely, then you have some career mode tweaks as well. I am in unbelief that even though most of the fanbase hates Fifa right now, I am in love but my loyal readers, let me be very cautious to see that I have seen a line of the same thing happening over and over each your. This game is perfect for me right now dribbling, defending, skills, passing, everything is fine. Let me be clear by saying the people who say there have been no changes this year are wrong! Also corners and free kicks have been amazingly tweaked, as they help you give more choice, instead of corner to the first post and hopefully someone heads it in otherwise the gk will catch it. Now you can choose certain swings, knuckle balls etc and I have seen corners flying in from several places within the 16 yard box which is great. Also, free kicks have the same level of lots of different varieties of shooting. Power shoots are very risky but fantastic when balls fly in. NO, people who say this game is the same, don't know what they are talking about. They're either playing the PS4 version which I have also played, and yes that is the same as last year with very minor tweaks. I can safely say that during my session online against friends and in seasons I see that people are trying the same things as past few years. The things when I have full control of a match, and I am winning 1 - 0 and have 60% possession and 10 shots to 1. That people would still try fluke goals like in Fifa 22. The unrealistic type of making a run from kick-off with Mbappé and run towards the outside line, cut in side and make a goal or to try to do over the top balls towards pacy strikers that can outrun defenders. I can safely say my people that this type of unrealistic football is out of the game, and it's a big relief! Coming towards my last point which is a minus point is that I have noticed a pattern with Fifa games in the past and I have to mentioned it: Fifa always gets worse with updates, and I think it's a scheme from Fifa, and I'll tell you why?!: -When the game is not doing what you want, especially in Fut, what do people do?: They will buy packs because they are in need of better players. -Fifa already received the reviews from critics like IGN etc. and people usually enjoy the game at the start. -As Fifa keeps breaking their game with every update with the next game releasing you will feel like it's so much better as EA will release roughly the same game (NOT FIFA 23 this one is perfect) Conclusion: If you are fan of football and don't have a baby mindset of watching football and think that Mbappé can skill out 7 players. Then this game is for you. If you love the passing game the smart dribbles of Silva or Messi, then this is your game. You don't like balls over the top, then This is your game!     Played a solid 6 hrs, the player control is much better, the animation you can tell there are a few added features, when you get tackled and hit the deck you can still get a touch on the ball to pass, while Subtle but good. Some of the new controls with free kicks etc are a good inclusion.

    The best gameplay ever made in a football game. AI is challenging. The game is more cadenced and thought out.

    It just doesn't take 10, because the career mode - manager - remains very limited. They added some cut scenes, but there is still a lot to be created. The focus remains on FUT, unfortunately.

    I enjoy every detail they put on this game. Eventhough theres not much new about it, but they put next gen graphic in there, so it is much demanding than previous series.

    I didnt expect that I will write a positive review for FIFA, but I had to do it. I really like FIFA 23 and since feeling the last 4-5 games have been the same cash grab I cant say the same about this one. It really feels and is different and I really like it. Right now at least :D

    Love the new change , feels way more realistic and less scripted than previous titles, everyone seems to be complaining about the p2w aspect which I have no issue with.     It's still the most fun soccer (And probably sports) game out there, I've barely played Ultimate Team, but the career mode and the rest of the modes are good, with good AI, nice animations and the successful implementation of HyperMotion technology

    Fifa 23 is what you would expect from any Fifa game. it has all the modes you would expect it to have. It has good graphics and it is fun to play however there is a serious lack on innovation in these games. If your upgrading from some old Fifa then this game is worth it but if you already have Fifa 21 or 22 then just keep those ones. It's basically the same thing.     150 hours of play. I can now give my opinion. EA gets excited about Real Madrid. It is an impossible team to beat and it is impossible to lose when you occupy that team. I have played against that team in the Seasons game mode and it is laughable how the team's players let balls pass or situations that are out of logic. However, when I control Real Madrid it's like playing super easy, I'm150 hours of play. I can now give my opinion. EA gets excited about Real Madrid. It is an impossible team to beat and it is impossible to lose when you occupy that team. I have played against that team in the Seasons game mode and it is laughable how the team's players let balls pass or situations that are out of logic. However, when I control Real Madrid it's like playing super easy, I'm unstoppable. Very bad ea. It is the last FIFA I buy, or EA SPORT FC as they like to call it.     90% of goals scored in this game, you won't see them in real life!

    -Take the ball from the one flank
    - dribble the defender even if you have Maguire dribbling - Pass to the attacking forward like he is alone in the football pitch (defenders could avoid the ball if needed)
    - score the easiest goal in football history

Players feel sluggish, passing has a mind of it own, finishing is decent, camera glitches, goalkeeper hit boxes disappear from time to time and if you don't put money in you can forget about competing in FUT, they have ripped the soul out of football games.

    It's just not fun anymore, thankfully with EA losing the FIFA license, we may end up with a real football game. EA you will not be missed.

    Best advice: Save your money and buy a pet, sure it will urinate and crap everywhere like EA but at least it will learn, change, grow and feel part of the family - leaving you with that money well spent feeling.    … Expand

    The worst iteration of Fifa ever! From a gameplay perspective, just garbage. Lazy developers more focused on in game purchases than the game itself. Here's some broken features.

    • Refereeing logic is inconsistent and moronic. Incorrect penalty decisions, flawed advantage and idiotic decision making in general. Definitely the worst seen in any Fifa. • Pin Ball Simulator- Tackle animations    The worst iteration of Fifa ever! From a gameplay perspective, just garbage. Lazy developers more focused on in game purchases than the game itself. Here's some broken features.

    • Refereeing logic is inconsistent and moronic. Incorrect penalty decisions, flawed advantage and idiotic decision making in general. Definitely the worst seen in any Fifa. • Pin Ball Simulator- Tackle animations consistently lead to the ball going back to attackers. As do blocks and interceptions which often fail in critical situations. The ball is more slippery than a bar of soap in a prison shower. • Broken defensive AI - Defenders run backwards constantly leaving a huge gap to the midfield. Midfielders do not track back. If you play a high line to counter this issue, there's an auto offside trap activated randomly without logic or reason. •Player Switching and manual defending - Just a horrible system that rarely works in any version of Fifa. Trying to use either is a stressful experience. • A one-dimensional, predictable meta, set up for counter attacking and sprint trigger merchants. Using any form of possession outside of spamming through balls using direct passing is going to be a painful experience. •limited gameplay modes within FUT, generally making the experience repetitive and boring. •Kick off glitch - Anyone who has played Fifa knows what I'm talking about. •Broken corner logic - defensive AI force's players to sit inside they're own box rather than pushing out.

    •Broken keeper animations - often leads to goals scored where a keeper reacts incorrectly to the situation. For example, running past the ball or diving the wrong way. • Frequent Kit clashes in FUT unless you select your home and away kits. • Over powered AI assisted pressure tactics which break attacking Player mechanics and animations. Works even with depleted stamina and leaves opponent with no passing options •PC Cheats impacting Cross play •Practice mode broken - No first person perspective on free kicks • Step Over Speed boost overpowered The list could go on and on.     This game wasn't finished when it was released, i got no doubt about it, the sluggish and sloppy gameplay and unbalanced physics proves it. Tradable sbcs were removed so that game becomes even more pay to win. EA never has a sympathy for players, the only thing they care about is their own pockets.

    Too much random rubbish in the gameplay. Keepers are terrible. Dive out the way for balls that are hit straight at them. AI is incredibly unintelligent. There are times when all AI defenders are standing still. Also strikers standing 5m in an offside position. Rebounds ruin the game. I put hours into a career mode only for it to be wiped. Glad this is the last year.

Did I mention that Neymar Jr has been intentionally watered down and Liverpool defenders (Even Fabinho) will catch up with your strikers regardless of the distance?

    At the time of writing this review, the latest update made Nunez bald (looks like Jonjo Shelvey now) which makes me believe that the developers had no interest at all in detail and just wanted to put something together to sell and put their lazy feet up. The commentary is still the same, drab and unintuitive. Another waste of money if you care about it and honestly EA needs to actually stop this piss poor development and and be serious.     3rd straight year that I can't play FUT from Turkey, because of the latency issues. It is nearly impossible to play if the ping is higher than 35ms, and this year it is always between 40-50.

    Can play volta/seasons without any issues that tells me fut servers are insufficient. Make a 10 dollar version if you won't supply us with the FUT service. Disgrace.

This year the lag compensation went another big step ahead and prevented all good setup to have a smooth game play. Got a PS5 with exclusive 1Gpbs wired connection, cool, but your players will never move as you expected, it's all muddy and clunky, extremely unplayable. Just don't trust their marketing brochures and videos, they're all fake. Hypermotion 2 is totally fake on new gen. We can't control the players at all as they give extra touches out of nowhere, while unable to do a simple turn without going a long way chasing the ball. When the gameplay is fast and responsive for you, the issue seems minor, but when it becomes horrible with lag and delay, you'll feel it, as of now when everyone I know is complaining of EA servers. Check reddit and see how the world is talking about this **** game.

It feels like they all carry around 1 tonne of weight, and even I could turn easier with the ball in real life, so that means, that left stick dribbling has been entirely eliminated. Of course, there is another way of "becoming good". You just buy all the players with the maximum speed and hope for the best. These players again have a high skill level. So if you play against someone with only fast players that knows how to skill move, you have no chance whatsoever. This game has nothing to do with football, and it feels like EA actually want the game to be purely based in skill moves, If I would want something like this, I would play VOLTA. If I could, I would ask for my money back. This is 100% the last FIFA (or however they will name this game next year) that I will every buy from EA. The career mode seems better than before, but even if you play against the AI on legendary level, the only thing the players do is skill dribble the whole time. This is not realistic, and I am asking myself if any of the creators of FIFA have ever played football in real life. I could keep on and talking about the bad animations of goalies, passing is basically a game of chance no matter what pass you choose, how the players pass the ball directly into the feet of defenders even though there is a 20 meter gap to get the ball to your player, how the only way to protect the ball is to turn your back to the attacking player, and how one week after release all teams are already made out of M`Bappes, Neymars and Icons, but I will rather burn the Disc now, because that is the only way you will have some fun with this game. Because that is what EA have done, they have simply killed all the fun in FIFA. No matter if you're team is high ranked, everything depends on the script. And of course, kids using their mom's credit card and playing like pep, 600 passes on the back, until the last minute, without passion to win.

    The acceleration is even more egregious, my players need at least 2-3 seconds to start doing anything. All rival players always achive max speed instantly. Rival CB are even crazier, max speed in one direction, made a 180º turn and instanly max speed again. My CB look like a train trying to change direction, needs several meters just to stop.
    It looks like the rival defenders intercept a lot of balls, but the true is the game just makes your player pass the ball to the opponent.
    The ai is constantly making faults but the refery does not care, you make a clean tackle inside your area, penalty.
    Your defenders controlled by the ai are constantly opening spaces for the rival.
    All rebounds are for the ai players. You can't even try, your players freeze until the ai team has de ball.
    in the same game a pass with almost no power goes far away and the next one a full power pass stops after 5 o 6 meters. This happens especially when the ai players make a strong pressure, all your full power passes fall short.
    The goalkeeper constantly concedes goals from balls that go to his body. Make some weird animation and falls liike someone has shoot him.
    When the game doesn't want you to score it's just impossible. Every shot goes to the middle. One on one situations, you make a shot or dribble and your player decides he needs 2 o 3 more steps before obeying you. Te keeper or a defender just rush you.
    The gameplay is only better the last games of the season if there's nothing at stake. If you need to win the last matches to win the league or a tournament, the cheating just go crazy.
    When the ai tackles you, they just activates an animation that makes your player unresponsive while the ai player goes like a cannonball to the ball. If you play a lot of games, sometimes they activate that whith the player to far, and you can see the ai player that is 10 meters away just flying over the field and making the perfect tackle. Literally flying, with one step he covers 10 meters.

    A gameplay like this sucks even if you win games, the game feel horrible and you contantly feel cheated.

    I make mistakes, but if when i try to correct a bad game decision I can't even control my players because they need 2-3 seconds to start doing something or need another 2-5 seconds just to select the player I want, or my defenders start running toward the bands to open spaces to the ai players, even if the play started by my mistake I feel cheated. The ai didn't need that to score but it does, because it is programmed to play like this.

    And the press conferences are incredibly stupid.
    I am in the last games fighting to win the league and they ask me if I think I will avoid relegation.
    Or ask me about my bad results the last games after a streak of several victories.
    Also ask me if I will manage to remain undefeated when I have already lost a game that season.    … Expand

    GOD BLESS it's the last Fifa so these stupid idiots paying for a patch every year can't keep buying this crap. Fifa is everythig that's wrong with modern gaming.

    In the end, the upsides far outweigh the downsides or omissions, and the creators' concentration on improving the modes that earn the most money is logical. As a whole, however, the game works well. [Issue#324]

    FIFA 23 is perfectly serviceable, the gluttony of FIFA fans won't find much to complain about. Truth be told, the formula is so one-dimensional that it is hard to get wrong after iterating on the same product year after year. Subtle tweaks to gameplay do mix things up, but not enough has been done to refresh the modes on offer. Either EA are out of ideas, or they are storing them up for their next game in their new franchise. Anyone looking a football game in 2023 though should certainly stick with the tried and tested FIFA.

    If better hair physics is what you were hoping for when it comes to the new edition of FIFA – you’re in luck! The hair looks gorgeous now. But as for the other, more important things we need, it is the same as always. It takes a bit of improvement and a lot to pay for it.
